Hey Youri. Other travellers have said so too. While I had no complaints, the same could not have been said for the truckers who were waiting for hours.
Glad this video has helped. Please check out the "Nicaragua" Playlist from Borders on Budgets for other travel ideas and inspirations from that country.
Great and useful video. My usual tip to excited US TH-camrs: take the volume and excitement down just a notch, or at least change the dosage of your meds. Otherwise, great video.
@@kevinadams9468 Thanks Kevin. Admittedly most often I am high energy. Of course depending on the subject or setting of the video, my voice and mood will reflect the situation. Appreciate you stopping by Borders on Budgets.
@@Viagem-p Hi there. Presumably you meant to write: "....from Liberia to Nicaragua." In both directions I saw private cars crossing the border. However I do not know the laws or requirements for bringing a car from one country to the other. You'll likely find this information on the Net. Hopefully, this helps. Bon Voyage!
Hi Ridhwaan. I'm aware the buses run every hour from Liberia and the trip takes 1:45 to the border. I don't know when the last bus leaves. However the border itself closes at 10 pm, so presumably any bus wouldn't leave Liberia past 7, at the latest.
In the moment, without a clear explanation from Costa Rica customs, I determined it was easier to spend the extra $2 for the paper slip without exposing my credit card to a machine.
@@TruthSeekingAlways When flying out of the country, the departure tax is included in the airfare. Though if one was truly destitute, and couldn't scrape the $10 to leave Costa Rica, then that traveller has bigger problems than needing to leave a beautiful country.
Crossing this border is always an adventure 😂. Great video !

Always ask before filming!
Hello friend, can you tell me if it is possible to travel by car from Liberia to Costa Rica?

How late in the day do the busses to Rivas run?

The exit fee from Costa Rica to Nicaragua is 8 dollars!

It cost to leave Costa Rica? Gho
At the land borders, yes. $8 US at the border post or $10 using the external services. I spent the extra $2.
Hope this video helped.
@@bordersonbudgets it does tyvm. So I'm theory if you lost all your money there you could never leave even by walking ?
@@TruthSeekingAlways I'm both laughing, and in pensive thought, regarding your scenario.
@@bordersonbudgets but in theory is that how it works 😂
