Crazy it's a 3 player game by the time you get a turn... Also Green got 2nd without taking a turn. Incredible.

Green got second without playing a turn by closing on the first turn rather than flagging.
The true tragedy of these settings is that we only get 11 minutes of VC this morning.
Yeah, neutral bots is the best way to "punish" people who quit (but that assumes they even care about their rank), but it really makes the problem of people quitting worse. Before you even started playing, there was only 2 colors you even had to think about. How boring.

Quitting the game before, let's say round 15(?) should result in a 12 hour ban from joining a lobby. Something like that should deter early bot outs

Problems arise when it’s truly a connection problem and it’s gonna piss people off if they can’t play because of a bad connection in a previous game.

Personally I dislike balanced blitz, and don't understand why it's a thing. But then I grew up playing with actual dice.
I feel the exact same way! (Because it's hard not to feel like when VC loses, I'm losing... so I guess this is me realizing that my "sport" is RISK, lol. And I'm rooting for team VC, babeh!!)! But I did really enjoy the true random game a few days ago, when VC won on the Classic map!

Yeah... I think the reason Pete likes true random is because it fixes the problem with broken cap rolls in balanced blitz which makes sense in my mind if you're expecting to play a longer game (like the negotiation settings games on EU Advanced).
I think it's genuinely hard to find good fixed cap settings on almost any map because you're trying to avoid stalemates while and the same time not having something too spawn dependent where one lucky player just snowballs and nobody can stop them.
I probably won't play these exact settings again but I like the idea of constantly exploring and trying to find new settings that work and this is one of my favorite maps so I was excited to test out a new idea from Pete.

When I play these settings then I have a cap in the split bonus behind me and purple breaking the bonus every turn.

Trash settings. Rather than devs fixing broken Balanced Blitz dice rolls, the community is trying to find settings that work around it. It's not working.

Yeah I mean some people like settings like these.... but the more cultured viewers prefer europe advanced progressive capitals
Yeah those settings seems good if you just wanna farm people because in a lot of games people just bot out immediately like we have seen. Wouldn't recommend them either those games aren't even a real game of risk
