- Papier-mâché (paper mache) is something we can all make, and you probably have everything you need to make this craft, right now, in your home! All you need is time, and we have lots of time right now! So grab your kids, and some old newspapers and let's have fun!
In this tutorial I am making a unicorn head, but you can try any idea you might have.
Papier-mâché Paste is made from Water and Flour.
Create a form by bunching up your news paper and taping it together with masking tape, then start to layer strips of newspaper covered in flour and water, over your form. Let your form dry for at least 24 hours, and then coat it again, trying to get a smooth finish. When you are satisfied with your piece you can paint it, and add flowers to it with a glue gun!

What a really pretty lady ! My gran used flour and water to glue everything ! She would also clean stuff with bread and also use bran and water to clean carpets.

Some paper mache artists strongly recommend against putting strips into the paste. It causes and uneven amount of paste that is difficult to spread when the strip is wrapped into the form.

I want to make these cool sealing lights that are made out of chicken wire.Would u know how to make a paper mache paste that is not like strips of thick paper..More like consistency of a thick shake.Will it stick to the wire.Thank u,if u can give me an imput. Love ur videoes.

What kind of board did you use to mount the head to?
I used a piece of pine ply wood for the finished mounting look.

it's a mistake to call this papier-mâché, it's just over-coated strips of paper, Papier-mâché has a base of paper pulp .
