I for one was looking forward to the dividend etf thinking it will be satrix, sygnia , coreshare etc.. we beginners don’t have enough to invest offshore considering the transfer cost and all that but are at least are familiar with the likes of satrix S&p 500 , satrix top 40 , satrix divi plus to name a few ..dont get me wrong you doing such an. amazing job and even the etfs mentioned here are the ones to hold forever but please 🙏 give us a South African version 😊. Given I used to invest in the SYG500 and SYGUS and I’m familiar with other SA based ETFs like the Satrix ones I’ll hook you up with a solid portfolio you can just copy & paste!
Investing is a long game so the profits come through over time, years from now. The stock markets are inherently volatile so even in a downturn you keep holding good ETFs and investing more. As living costs increase we have to find ways to increase our income, a 9-5 salary is increasing become insufficient to live on. The more income one generates via side businesses, etc the more you pay down your debt, save & invest; the compounded investing returns (profits) will come in the long-run.
