@@cameronboggs has a lot less to do with tuning and more to do with the ring around it with, something like the Big Fat Snare Snare-Bourine topper. Kills overtones and allows the fatness to come out. So the church I go to started this conference called IGNITE and the worship is usually really "Hyped up." What I mean by this is for this song, the drummer would hit the symbols on the morning for ashes/graves into gardens part. Then would build up in between. This cover is really good tho!
Are the fills from 5:23-5:33ish just repeating the same as the third fill listed on the sheet music? I am having trouble piecing this last section together with the breakdown lessons and the sheet music because it isn’t explicitly shown in the sheet music. Thanks!

Some drummers do if they want more rebound and also using the fat end of the stick produces a more robust larger sound, just depends on the arrangement and the sound they want cuz playing in most churches is really echoey and the sound dissipates easy so using the fat end will give a larger sound that will carry further
