I have made amends with this trade and have recognized the fact that my wizards got a solid haul, especially since we haven’t flipped Brogdon yet, BUT it still stings a bit. Wishing Deni nothing but continued success in Portland!
Brogdon probably only getting seconds, unless you get some luck at the deadline. Totally possible but a big risk. He could also just get hurt, not get traded, and just walk in free agency next summer. Brogdon is a big gamble. But y'all got enough picks, and enough young guys behind him that the trade makes sense
its a good haul...deni likely maxes out as a good/very good 4th player on a playoff team. knowing his timeline doesn't match their rebuild [rookie contracts don't match], it makes good sense
Deni Avdija is best as a point forward. he played PG at high-school. they've changed his role from SF to point forward after the TDL and his numbers went to 20ppg 6apg 8rpg at that part of the season. ending with 15 6 4 the all season. True shooting 60%.
We couldn't be more excited to have him. Insert Klingkong and we're gonna have some fun. Thanks for the video man, we will take care of him. We still pine for Josh Hart but couldn't be happier he is happy in NY, so a tribute like this to OUR new guy is awesome.
As an Israeli fan, we'll now get the opportunity to open our days and watch Deni live at 5:00 A.M our local time on Blazers' home games. That would be a trip. I just wanted to add another angle to this discussion: IMO, Deni thrives in motion and excels in high-paced offenses that are based on ball movement. He will look to pass before he looks for a shoםt. Hopefully, he'll be able to connect with Scoot and Donovan Clingan and receive the coaching staff's support to form a nucleus that would change the Blazers style of play to become less "iso-dependent.".
portlands scout/assistant gm was beleived to be a big reason we went after deni mike smitz who worked for espn asa draft guru type guy was huge on deni his rookie year
Haha thanks man! Love it as a Blazers fan, so excited for Deni! Hopefully Bub becomes a seriously good player you can build around as well and we can all look back at this trade as a vital step in the correct direction for both franchises.
I don't even like the Wizards but will continue to watch your channel. I can't believe I said that but its true. Love this channel and I hope your team continues to give the Blazers a funnel of amazing talent!
Deni didn't nicknamed himself Turbo, his teammates gave him that nickname after Monté Morris said in practice while they played one on one that Deni plays like he always wants to press on Turbo and score like in NBA2K.
First they say they want to attract young players who wants to play here. The week after they trade their best player, who is 23 and loves DC, for a has been and 4 picks. 50% think he will be an allstar, and the other 50% don't understand basketball or in kuzma camp. The wizards record : With Deni - 14 wins. Without Deni - 1 win.
Big fan of Deni and I am a monster Blazer fan… I have a feeling he might be exactly what we needed, him, Scoot, Shaedon, Ant, Ayton, Grant, Clingan, and a few more growing young dudes… honestly it’s kind of an exciting time to be a Blazer fan. Is the best pick up (non draft) I’ve seen in years when it comes to age and potential. I can’t believe we got them for a bag of peanuts.
as now former wizard fan (im deni fan) but still have some feeling left after this 4 years, im wondering what is your thought about the next player in the roster- cori kispert.. would you sign him for the future, on what contract?
Wait, wait, wait! Keep on talking about Deni's fashion. I've got two guys in Portland Deni needs to meet: the Unipiper and the Cat Rapper. You think Deni's fashion won't play well in Portland? Guess again. No, Deni fashion has found its home. You could argue that Deni's wardrobe is the reason why he's leaving D.C. Deni's clothing needs to shine in downtown P-town on Southwest Broadway. #KeepPortlandWeird!
I can understand both sides in this trade. Wizards aren't planning to be good in the next 4 years, so Deni with his 4 year contract is just a stock. You sell a stock when you think it's in the pick or close. I think they are worng and Deni value will be higher, but i can understand the logic.
@@isidoro8566 Yes therefore i can say it's maybe a mistake but it isn't a dumb move. If Kuzma stays, they need minutes to Bilal and Sar development, and i think Poole is going to be much more dominant (to my opinion it's bad), so Deni might won't be better. Deni probably couldn't be a star in Washington, but he might be in Portland (if JG and Ant are in trades, he might be the main player next year, and i guess thats Mike Schmitz plan).
Most Blazers fans are super nice because they live in rural Oregon or suburban Portland, the rude mean people live inside the city and hate sports as "toxic masculinity" except Soccer because that's European not American so its OK with the comrades. Seriously Blazers fans have had so little to cheer for in the last couple of years that something good like this trade is going to send us to the moon.

We got 2 FRP’s (one turned into Bub), 2 SRP’s, and Brogdon who we could flip for more and we got rid of a guy who always posting stuff supporting a country actively killing innocents with him having a giant fanbase who constantly supporting that country too. This is an even trade on the basketball level for us and it makes us morally sound as well. Huge dub for the Wiz. You keep saying the fanbase mad but bro huge group of fans in the DMV are Muslims including Palestinians with family there being killed and this clown was always ignoring that and having a huge fanbase celebrating them being killed. You can’t ignore that just cause he’s got some potential. We all so happy to be supporting this team again after struggling to for years. Also basketball wise you keep talking about how we could get more of a haul if we waited another year and he kept improving. That’s just a huge risk cause he could very well not improve. 2 FRP’s is plenty and you can’t just keep gambling at a point you gotta get up and leave the table before you lose it all.
@Kingsareboss way to get political and divisive when no one was asking for your opinion about Palestine. He is entitled to his views, and there is freedom of speech in this country.
