Cheers for that, great to hear other peoples history in getting into the hobby. There is definately an age related Airfix or Warhammer route. Thanks again. Ken

I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the nomination. Yeah, I think your on to something about the Aifix/Warhammer starting point. I guess we're just old farts now...

Really enjoying the channel, keep up the excellent content! Particularly like the fact your WWII content is Eastern Front focussed!

We all come from different paths to where we are now, but a love of history is the bedrock. Thank you for the nomination :)

Barbarossa is indeed endlessly fascinating. That is really the base of my initial wargaming experience, using Airfix Soviet infantry and Fujimi tanks back in the day. My friend had the Germans. Recently I've gone back to the period, to use Chain of Command for those nasty small unit actions. 20mm is so much more advanced and rich in just the past few years.

Yes, it's an incredibly complex conflict and there is so much to explore for a wargamer, Chain of Command is perfect for small units.

Great, even crucial advice to not be put off because someone is 'better' at whatever random benchmark in the massive, complex hobby.

I think it's true for anything beyond wargaming. Do stuff that makes you happy, not just because you're good at it.
