Thank you for the vid. Just a couple of observations from first hand experience of pulling someone out of Go Go bar employment in Bangkok this year: - The need to get as many lady drinks as possible (to get a share of the revenue) will turn any Go Go bar worker into an alcoholic. As they only get two days off per month, they will potentially drink alcohol for 28 days - alcoholism is thus prevalent, setting young people on a destructive path of addiction. - if they want a day off they have to bar fine themselves, which is predatory. - The Go Go bar would not release the person concerned - they weren't just free to go - until a fee of 30,000 baht was paid (despite many days of bar fines having been paid to the bar, for the period of our travel to Hua Hin and Pattaya). Again, a predatory tactic. - The person involved really has embraced the training I've organised, and is getting good results. They were being bullied by their fellow bar staff, and are pleased to be out of the industry. Thank you.
@wearetalkofthailand2764 I took my friend for a walk up and down Walking Street in Pattaya - their impression was that it is a dangerous place. I'm endeared to Thailand as much as the next guy, but it's interesting the difference in perception - holiday play land for us, but for them, danger. God knows what these young people go through. Cheers
