Installing the KW HAS KIT on the BMW G87 M2!! *Detailed Guide*

  • Hey everyone, welcome back to daily downshift! Today we're installing the much anticipated KW HAS KIT on the BMW M2 G87 platform. Surprisingly, this height adjustable spring kit is installed almost identically to the RWD M3 & M4, so we weren't doing this completely blind. The springs help lower the ridiculously high height from factory on the M2 to a much more visually appealing height. Since installing the HAS kit, the car has settled even more than what you see in the video and in my opinion, it's the perfect height. Any lower and we'd probably get quite a bit of rubbing so we're happy with the result. We'll be posting a second video reviewing the new ride quality and stiffness, as well as showing how low it's gotten after settling. Enjoy the video!
    We used this bimmerpost thread for some help with torque measurements and procedure - g87.bimmerpost...
    Thank you to ECC & IND for help with the KW HAS KIT - ind-distributi...

    It is human nature to modify. We must change, improve, make better. This is the desire of the species. To do it on a car that is more attainable is very entertaining. Cheers from the States.

    Great video. Just picked up my G87 and getting ready to install my MSS Hybrid kit. I'm glad to see someone else drop the strut the way I have with my M4. Just loosen the top while everything is assembled instead of dropping everything then using a spring compressor. Thought I was doing something crazy lol.

    That plastic connecting rod for the sensor can easily be repaired with some epoxy, just remove it first.. Epoxy is stronger than plastic

    • @DailyDownshift
      @DailyDownshift  ปีที่แล้ว

      At first we bought a replacement, then realized you could just epoxy it back together so we ended up doing that! It’s holding up very strong at the moment.

    You have put the wrong bumpstops, you have put the fronts on the rear, thatś why they didnt fit.

    • @DailyDownshift
      @DailyDownshift  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No I think we have it right. There's 3 videos that have them oriented our way and 2 videos that have them reversed. The way we put them in, the fronts match the OEM fronts and rears match the OEM rears. I can't be 100% sure, but they look right to us based on our comparison of OEM parts and based on what some others videos do as well.

      @@DailyDownshift As per dealer, modifying exhaust, springs will void your warranty. If you want car fixed, you must restore to original and then it will be looked at. I'm talking to dealers now about a 2024 manual m2

    • @DailyDownshift

      Unfortunate, but that's not the way it works with my dealer. Any service or warranty work is done on the car as long as my modifications didn't cause the problem. I've had previous warranty work completed with my BMW dealer and they had no problem with any of my mods. This was on a 2017 M2.
