How anyone would be thinking of McKenna as a serious option...would be ridiculous....Tuchel all the way ....no nonsense....and, will' incorporate the tactical nous that is drastically needed.
Would be ridiculous to give him the job, he's not ready yet. United is a whole different proposition compared to managing in the Championship, but I fully expect this club to keep on making boneheaded decisions.

What does being ready even mean? Pep, Zidane, Arteta, and Xabi would all not be given the job under your criteria.
McKenna is not an ex player. He would not be given the job because of nepotism. Ole was a former United legend. He failed with Cardiff, not only in the Premier League, but was sacked because he had Cardiff midtable in the Championship. Lampard got Derby from 6th to 6th. Only got jobs because he was an ex player. Gerrard was given the job in the SPL where only 2 clubs win the league every time. Only given jobs because of his legendary status as an ex footballer.
McKenna is only being considered because of his coaching excellence. Was stolen from Spurs by United because he was a great youth coach. Then was promoted by Mourinho because he was a great u18 coach for United. Now in his first managerial job, he excels right away.
Ole is a worse manager and yet he had United in the top 4 multiple times. Give me a break. You guys act like McKenna can get United relegated.
@@solenstyleBesides Saeed the others were shitting on De Zerbi because of results but I guarantee if Mckenna is a good coach then I expect him to be relegated like Kompany who actually played good football but when you don't have top players to play for those teams you expect bad results despite the good football. That's why the disrespect these mans are giving De Zerbi is some driven agenda. This guy has Brighton playing like Barca with dead players even losing their best players since he's been there and key players with long term injuries he still manage to stick to his philosophy while we have a fraud who complains about injuries but still has some good players fit and available but he chose to play his favourites. I don't want Mckenna but if he's a upcoming coach who has a philosophy then I understand with better players he might get better results but he just seems like Ole with a coaching badge like a nice guy and won't have the personality or respect to have players believing in him.

McKenna NO THANKS, he was THE coach from Ole's time, Ole said he didnt coach the team it was McKenna, and we just got rid of all them 2 years ago because it failed, I personally do not want to see McKenna back coaching or managing this team
Assistant coach is not the same as manager. Assistant coaches do not dictate what style of play United should play. The manager decides that. The coach is just given direction from the manager, and tries to make it work with their coaching. They take hold of training ground coaching, but they must abide by the direction that the manager wanted. Ole wanted counter attacking football, with no organized press. I don't care if you're pep, if that's the style you're given, you can't make them play Pep football even if you're in charge of the training sessions. Because the manager decided they wanted counter attacking football.
McKenna was also promoted by Mourinho.
McKenna as a manager plays completely different from Ole ball and Mou's football. Now the players must abide him or they get transferred by the Berrada and Ashworth.

The fact that people expect Brighton to be anywhere this season just shows how good of a job both RDZ and Potter did. They're a selling club who's main aim id to make profit. Brighton are a mid table team who are punching well above their weight thanks to proper coaching

Roy Keane was given jobs because he was a legend. McKenna has been given jobs because of how talented he is as a coach.
The only reason why fans don't want him is because he was an assistant at United. Assistant coaches don't dictate how United plays football. They don't have the authority to do that unless the manager wants it. This is why his football is completely different from Mourinho's and Ole's football.
