The V1 is great - customize your settings so that you minimize your overall alerts, and only be alerted to cops and not other cars that emit radar signals 👍
Education is Key - knowledge is Wiser & Smarter. It's easy to go from 45 mph to 35 mph to 25 mph speed limit signs for sure. As it gets hotter outside - brain function slows as does reaction time. Drive Safely and enjoy the roads of USA.
I used to have the valentine v1 gen 2 but i noticed i was getting alot of false alarms so i sold it and picked up a uniden r7 great detector with gps built in to help eliminate false alarms and block it out

Yeah they changed the law here in Nevada you can no longer pay a lawyer to get the ticket reduced to a parking ticket so you get points no matter what and you can only get their points removed once a year by taking a driver's license course which explains how to drive properly why not the speed why not to drink alcohol the percent why people die on the freeway percentage of motorcycle deaths it goes on and on and on with all the figures and basically the bottom line is young people under 25 cause about 80% of the accidents and most of them have a very high blood alcohol ratio to where they're having about 6 to 9 drinks in one hour.
A lot of fatalities at high speed as well
@@Syntheticoilprotection oh Yea I always go the speed limit we are living just outside of Detroit some of the worst divers I've ever seen are here I will be doing 65 on a road full of giant potholes and they blow by like you're going 20 lol also I hardly ever drink unless I'm at home, so I don't have to drive

Yes it took 7 months and then once I got that finished I got lucky and found my Cadillac had a very special deal so even though I got unlucky just because I was cool about everything it all came back around in the long run😃👍

A speeding ticket near Searchlight? Who would have thought? Sorry for poking fun at you, but I've seen them collecting tax there so many times I couldn't resist. They're terribly draconian through there. My nephew has commandeered my V1G1 so I will be ordering a V1G2 very soon.
😁, yeah it was all my fault I should have got that radar detector years ago the guy in the Corvette club told me right away he goes just to let you know there's places if you go one mile an hour over they'll give you a speeding ticket for going only one miles an hour over the speed limit and now I know and I got what I think is a heck of a great radar detector amazing how it's been holding up still works as good as the day I got it in the heat here when it's 120° inside the car is probably 1:50

Honestly I usually drive very cautiously in the city streets with intersections on the highway I open it up sometimes but only when no one's around and that day there was someone coming head on the other Road LOL

💯, yeah they get it from everybody I have a bunch of friends that have economy cars and they speed quite a bit more often than me and a couple of them have gotten three tickets in one year.
That was my second speeding ticket in my life😁

Yeah it's definitely not the end of the world but if you drive in different states that you're not familiar with it's tough to know all the speed limits because there's places that have no posted speed limit and if there's a speed trap you're done😄

To me though it's definitely still worth it. Very small price compared to my time to deal with the ticket and go through the process of getting the points removed taking the 5-Hour safety course....lol
Have you ever tried the Amsoil yet?
I agree it sucks it increased, but it's still 100 less than the Uniden r8 and 200 less than the Redline 360c, while being better than both on 35.5 and 34.7, while being comparable to the R8 on 33.8, as well as K band responsiveness and reliability when paired with an app like JBV1. Honestly for longer road trips its the best option, for daily driving small distances often I agree other options are better. But even if they raised the price to 699 same as the R8 it would still be a good option and still be recommended.
@mike_prod.9224 great subtleties Mike I never knew that about the other products always had friends in the Corvette club that just love the Valentine one so I went with their suggestion they have tried them all and that's what their personal recommendation was thank you for sharing those subtleties👍🇺🇸💯
Call them directly. They sell returned V2's for $539 or new for $599. I got a returned V2 for $550.50 delivered in two days, looks brand new.
Yeah I mean opinion is opinion but at the end of the day it's pretty impressive how that radar detector works perfectly when it's 100 in 17° out here in Vegas it never glitches I'm pretty impressed with the technology

I agree the radar detector looks really cheap but it's amazing how good it works it works from a mile and a half out and when it's 116°. It doesn't skip a beat here in Vegas it's amazing I thought the same thing that it would be not as good as it is.
