McCallum was a beast. I always enjoyed how the young aggressive fighters would just go at him and he’d calmly shred their bodies to pieces. By rd 2 you could see in their faces that it was not what they expected.
i didnt know mcclum was a beast until i watched him with james toney trilogy... Mike was so under-rated.. as I want to develop better skills at body punching this is a great study
I have the Bodysnatcher in my top 10 pound for pound all time. When you can knock out a guy like The hawk, and Watson, you got some serious offense. Amazing countering abilities, no wonder the fab 4 wanted nothing to do with him. Only thing that bothers me is the Kalambay fight. The ref did help S.K. out but, the fight bothers me. McCallum vs Toney 1 has got to be top 10 greatest fights of all time.
Kalambay was a hell of a fighter and it was very competitive. Kalambay beat Iran Barkley even before Duran and Toney did. Irán was on a 13 fight win streak, and after the loss, won 2 more fights before beating Tommy Hearns. Kalambay also beat 38-0 Herol Graham, a quick cagey southpaw, who also gave McCallum a tough fight. It’s not a bad loss.
Left hook downstairs, left uppercut, Followed by a right hook downstairs at 1:01 Good stuff right there And that double high & low left hook and then shifting to do more work at 2:12 was beautiful as well
This man so great they don't even mention him. If legendary super sayians where real, they would with out a doubt throw hands and over all fight like The Body Snatcher. This would be the equivalent of fighting Broly, Vegeta, and Goku with all their attributes, skills, fighting prowess persona and everything else that comes with it. He'd literally knock souls from his opponent bodies.
JCC’s left hook to the body was more debilitating than any single MM shot. But, Mike went there with both hands and in a more creative and fluid way. I give a slight edge to McCallum.
Skilled smart boxer. This guy would have given Mayweather hell!!! Rode abd rolled punches and came back with something almost every time. Just didn't have that tremendous overhand right. Beautiful to watch all day.
another very well made video of a great but vastly underrated fighter. Hope you dont mind me linking your video in my article fayzfitness.co.uk/forgotten-legends-of-the-ring-the-bodysnatcher-mike-mccallum/
Body work is beautiful.
+Axeman K9 Maybe that's a lost art nowadays....
Most dodged fighter of his era.. one of the best ever
In his generation every fighter could fight
You know you’re bad when Robert Duran wants no part of you
Chris Welcome the reward was in keeping and defending his belt. He preferred to give up the belt than fight McCallum, that says volumes.
He was most dodged fighter of 2 eras ,pure beast ,granite chin
@@mua2 proof please? Stating Duran.
Honestly just one of the most complete fighters who ever lived.
This man could do EVERYTHING in the ring so underrated
+Decon Sturm Truly an all rounded fighter!
Decon Sturm shame a huge toney way bigger had to fight him 3 time ... Mike walked around @167.. tony at 220.. ...
Decon Sturm best ever. he was ducked .. bigger men fought him .. hearns at kronk. said. he has to go
toney 70 pound bigger man. fought Mike 3 time.
black micky ward
I love his commitment to body punching. Errol Spence Jr., one of my favorites, excels at this art, as did Juan Manuel Marquez, another favorite.
Since Errol might be in need for a trainer, "THE BODYSNATCHER" definitely fits the Bill!!!

One of my favourite fighters.
Most underrated boxer ever, a beast in the ring.
His resume is second to none, probably the greatest complete fighter to come out of Jamaica
Gerald mcclellan,Mike McCallum and Thomas hearns,my favorites body punchers.
McCallum would have stopped Hearns. Body punching.
@@adsonline4999 💯💯💯
McCallum was definitely one of the most well rounded and technical fighters. Greatest Jr MW and one of the best MW. Love his style.
i didnt know mcclum was a beast until i watched him with james toney trilogy... Mike was so under-rated.. as I want to develop better skills at body punching this is a great study
The Real Body Snatcher......
This is THE MAN, THE LEGEND whom Errol Spence Jr should take on AS A TRAINER!!!
the most underrated boxer in history
There are so many boxers who are great and never get talked about
He's one of them
Politics sadly are in the sport of boxing 🥊
best jamaican boxer ever
+Sam Talbot No doubt about that!
Hamza Khaliq He's not from Jamaica.
Lennox Lewis jamaican??? lol 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄lol
Lennox Lewis is Jamaican bro
best nickname in boxing "The Body Snatcher" and one of the most fluent fighters ever.
SKILL and those 'DIGS' into the ribs !!! His elusive defensive skills were a thing of beauty, JUST BRILLIANT....
The original body snatcher
Legend of boxing

Chris Kim Kalambays style was all wrong for McCallum and was just one of those guys who had mikes number there 2nd fight was very close as well
Jackson and Watson were nowhere near all-time greats, however. And the Fab-4 "ducking" him is more myth than reality.
@@Hastein45 jackson hit harder than them tho.

Man this video should’ve been longer, big fan of Mike McCallum, dope video and instrumental though!
the best boxing body artist ever! The glory days of boxing
Super high boxing IQ
My body hurts just watching this. Nasty work to the body.
The man in the green shorts is Sean Mannion, another solid fighter of his era who won a championship.
You have done amazing work in the majority of your videos.thank you
I met McCallum at a gym in Vega$, nicest guy ever. A true Champ.
great vid mate, the guy was an absolute class act
+Al Osta Thanks mate, I've always had tremendous respect for Mike. Great man, great fighter.
+haNZAgod You have censored my comments just because I said I liked other guys video?
Marti Nek Not to my knowledge no?
haNZAgod That's weird. I can see it in thread on notifications but not when I click on video. Forget it...
he almost non stop routes to the body :D

Mike would walk thorough todays fighters
I agree.
Underrated chin too

Great video, NZA. Do your thing.
Mike McCallum or Julio Cesar Chavez? Who do you think was the better body puncher?
That's really tough to say man, both were great body punchers. I can't separate them.
haNZAgod song name plz??
Mike McCallum hands down
Julio Cesar Chávez

That boxer got the wind knock out of his lungs very hard you can see his face reaction he had to take a knee

Routes to the Body video of James Toney
(the man who beat Mike McCallum twice)
Beat old McCallum and got whooped by almost old McCallum
My man James Lightsout Toney faced the body snatcher 3times. And out of the 3 he got 2.
Beat old McCallum and got whooped by almost old McCallum
Those body shots tho
I hope I get no coronavirus I need to box before I get it
Your liver is toast if you leave it open to that man. His chin was made of titanium.
