Hi Todd. Love your videos. But I noticed the adapter kit you used and part number are for the FXLRS, FXDRS, FXFB and FXFBS models. According to my dealer and the HD website, the adapter kit for the FLSB is part number 43000090. But you made it work.
Yes, the #'s that I have published in that video are the ones that I used and had no issues with. It seems like If you click on the installation instructions and read carefully you can find reference to adapter part #'s, etc. Typical Harley-D anything related to the Sport Glide is clear as mud... Best of luck!
Great job Todd! You solved a lot of problems for me. I have the same ones that I am going to install on my 22 Heritage tomorrow. Thank you so much for showing the way!
Thanks, I agree, for the money we pay for these bikes a little fit and finish goes a long way toward keeping the customer happy and coming back again and again...
To anyone trying to install this kit on low rider st..... I struggled with it untill I realized the notch needs to point UP, instead of down which is mentioned accordingly to the instruction manual in this video. No where in the instructions is this mentioned and I have not found any source of confirmation, its just a tip and it worked for me.
If I stated that the instructions said to put the notch down, I'm confident that That is exactly what the instructions said. If they have since modified the instructions, so be it, but I have not had any problems with my axle covers since installation. 5,000+ miles.
@@ToddsProjectsandOutdoorJournal sorry used the wrong words. What I mean is that it does say so in the instruction. You are absolutely right about that. It just is the opposite for the Low rider st, which is not writen in the manual.
Hey Todd , the one thing about Harley is , when you want to add an accessory, you need to purchase some other kit or part, I added a backrest to mine but to do so still had to purchase the adapter spools .
This is by far, the best video on You-Tube for installing lower fairings on a softail!👍👍
Good job Todd, looks great, you are going to cost me money again this month

Glad I could help, good luck on your mods.
Clean video, why HD did not include this axle covers from the factory is just behind my comprehension.
