@@rye3477 that was the day when I read the book where Hollyleaf came back, and after reading the last hope, my feelings about her really changed. although shes still not my favorite, I don't hate her anymore. shes one swell dudette.

I know! I can't believe he put Hollyleaf that far below Leafpool, of all people. She's really boring, just like Hollyleaf, up until her character moments, was a manipulative jerk to her sister, and doesn't show visible remorse for sooooo long. Hollyleaf was subject to a very poor arc of writing, had a wonderful novella that explored her troubles, and had a very unique character flaw, blind obedience, which I can relate to quite a bit. (This is cut and paste, just so you know, from another comment I made.)

I didnt really like Hollyleaf after she got mad about her parents... I didn't like *any* of the three really... But after reading Hollyleaf's story, I really liked her! But... I still really love Dovewing and I don't feel like she was replaced at all by her.
Also Leafpool and Squirrelflight are two of my favorite charectors! Leafpool's really sweet and Squirrelflight is very hyper and playful!
I kinda liked Lionblaze as an apprentice more than as a warrior...

I LOVE Gray Wing, I love how much suffering he goes through without turning bitter. I also loved Dawn of the Clans! I also loved his struggle with his breathing, as it provided a fairly unique perspective of a cat with severe health problems, which we don't see in any other protagonist. I personally would have given him an S.

I don’t think Hollyleaf is an F Tier. She’s not perfect, but she’s not worse than everybody else. At least, in my own opinion. No, Akira, I’m not going to yell at you for having slightly different opinions than me. I’d respect any opinion whether I agree with it or not.

I agree. I feel that Hollyleaf is only hated by warriors fans because she wasn’t one of the three and murdered Ashfur. She had a very interesting role in sunrise specifically.

I love all the DotC Protagonists. Thunder' (Thunderstar) drama and showdowns with Clear Sky (Skystar) are masterpieces.

To be honest, I really like the conflict that happens between Clear Sky and Thunder multiple times.
But Gray Wing chapters are still my favourite.
I LOVE Dawn of the Clans. All the protags are good. Except you Mothflight, you don't count. And I hope River Ripple has a personality this time, cuz I think he is getting a super edition. But I love Clear Sky, Thunder, and Gray Wing.

Honestly I would have put Hollyleaf higher because I really thought she was interesting and more of a pro-active protagonist, she actually got stuff done. Lionblaze could never be above her, and I might put her with the a b or c’s

@merrrakiii She tried to actually solve the whole malentendu in Dark River while everyone was sitting on their ass, and when she gets told it was dumb, she logically concludes "ok, apparently the rules are more important than doing useful things", which made an already rigid personnality shown in the Sight become even more so. That's just one example.
hollyleaf at least deserves to be above lionblaze and brambleclaw. they literally are just “im strong and fight good! im ambitious but its for being good!” while hollyleaf actually gets what she wants instead of just sucking up to people

I think he didn't like her since they essentially dropped her perspective over time while pretending they didn't, and that becomes obvious after she kills Ashfur.
Oh hell nah Lionblaze deserves much more. Hollyleaf has infinite MAPS and fans Lionblaze has one , yes ONE fking MAP. Lionblaze have so much to offer just Erins waisted his potencial (Idk how to spell potencial).

Tbh I would have liked Hollyleaf to stay as a Med cat and Jayfeather as a warrior. And to me the whole I-killed-Ashfur thing seemed a little rushed, but I really did enjoy her character altogether. (I've only read up to the end of power of three +Firestars quest)

I honestly feel like hollyleaf is a b. She was the only proactive character in power of three, and way above lionblaze who was super boring and did nothing interesting. While I get that she wasn't as interesting as Jayfeather, she got stuff done. SHE fixed the problem with Ashfur, not op lionblaze or angry Jayfeather, who says he would have killed Ashfur of he could. But like. He didn't. I also thought it was interesting to see how she struggled with her choice between being a medicine cat or a warrior, because she just wanted to do the best she could for her clan. But I respect ur opinion.

I also found her way of thinking interesting. For exampel she wanted to go for the Fighting and Hunting skills separatedly. Nobody ever thought about that before

I like Lionblaze because I find him relateable, I know that this is an uncommon condition but his way with Heathertail and the whole killing dream is actully examples of a real life condition that I once had. Lionblaze helped me zoom out getting to see a third-person view of the problem and helped me to deal with it :)

Out of curiosity, may I ask why you hate her?
I feel like since the whole story started on Firestar and he changed ThunderClan and basically all the Clans for the better and has saved SkyClan, and defeated Tigerstar, he took in other non clan-born cats and made them an important part of ThunderClan, and tried to always make things right with everyone whether they liked him or wanted to or not, and who would die 100 times over again to help someone or save his clan, and always tried to do the right thing, who risked his life for the good of others, who was loyal to the very end, someone who was never a poor sport or had a sour attitude, and was so grateful for the life he got to live, and he never let something get him down, he always made everybody feel special, he changed the lives of so many cats for the better, he gave second chances to those who didn’t deserve, it, and he never let his guard down, and when he made a decision it came from his heart and mind, he actually listened to others and loved his clan more than anything, he cared for it all and I mean come on this THE Firestar of ThunderClan we’re talking about here! He more than deserves the S tier! If all these reasons are good enough for you, then I don’t know what is. Thank you for your time if you read this. Best wishes.

Another random Tristan She was young - and blind to love, many cats are naive- it’s one of her defining traits, I actually found her innocence quite charming, along with the small personality shifts she encountered. What striked you as bland about her? Ofc I respect your opinion, just curious.

Ok, most warrior cats don't, but she just really has no defining characteristic that I can think of(You seem to think there are, I'd love to hear it). She's got no internal conflict going on, even her drama with Ivy is more external. She doesn't have a flaw to overcome(except being "naive", but that's something she never overcomes).
Another random Tristan defining characteristics for her in my eyes would be quite brash, again naive, affectionate, and altruistic- one of her major developments is from losing her powers in dovewing’s silence, dealing with brief insanity in bramblestar’s storm, then proceeding to divert her grief into helping the kittypets learn, as she knows what it’s like to start from scratch, hope this helps, and glad that you’re not like many who feel directly attacked when someone disagrees with their comment-

HOLLYLEAF IS ONE OF MAH FAVE CARACTERS
I think Jayfeather was definitely deserved S. He is one of my favorite characters and i feel like he understands things more than other cats do. Like most cats in warriors take days to understand signs from Star Clan but he understands the signs really quickly and thats one of the reasons I like him so mush. Good job

Krafty kittens I think that bramble should get a A or a S because he is not one of those descendants from Firestar, his story about cats treating him badly and how he persevered through it, and it’s a original story, unlike most of them, and the reason why he did that to Squirrelflight is because he felt that he was alone since she left him. He is a very interesting character to read about and he makes me want to keep on reading it, I love how good he is in the lost stars book. He is very kind and lovable character. That’s why. :3

The thing with Bramble is that he gets a lot of plots he is involved in and affect his character in one way or another,but not in his series.From what i've seen,people don't like the books where Bramble is the PoV main character,and he works better as a secondary character. So probably in the video he was judged for how he was in the second series only,and not his whole character from kithood to Lost Stars.He said he didn"t count Shadowclan Dovewing,even though he really liked her,after all.
I personally believe you should scoot Ivypool and Hollyleaf up one for their later character development and I think Alderheart should definitely at least be among the C horde

I love Jayfeather! Hes my favorite character and his grumpiness and sarcasm just makes him unique. Of all of our protagonists hes the only grumpy one. Yes Clear Sky might count, but he's more of a "I have to make this work" type of guy, and with Jayfeather having these outbursts of kindness, its really adorable.

Something that I did want to see in the books after Dawn of the Clans was how Clear Sky was affected by Gray Wing's death. It might seem a little weird, but Clear Sky and Gray Wing's bond as brothers went through so much.
Who else was upset about hollyleaf being in f? Below friken lionblaze. Hollyleaf had a huge breakdown and this was actually really interesting! Now i may be biased, since hollyleaf is one of my favorite character. Also alderheart was an amazing and actually relatable character! Now i kind understand hollyleaf, but alderheart was one of the most relatable characters!

Second, I honestly can see why she could of been annoying. But, I found lionblaze to be boring, and wanted to skip his pages, hence why I didnt get why he was placed higher than hollyleaf. Hollyleaf has a unique personality, and view of the world. While lionblaze is the same cookie cutter 'big though guy' we always have seen.

I also love Hollyleaf because I always thought she had more emotions and opinions than other cats so it made me disappointed when the authors threw her away and put her into the tunnels
I like the change that they make a rude character (who isnt evil obviously) and everytime he snaps at them i feel like i would have done the same so he is my favorite

I really love Firestar as a main character, he’s amazing! But after Brambleclaw and Squirrellflight became the main characters, they just replaced Firestar and the Erin’s stopped developing him... (Also I have a question guys, why do you only hate Firestar for killing Scourge?)

*sobbing* But Bristlefrost is my favorite of the three! The Erins made Shadowpaw go to like a million medicine cat meetings for TWO reasons:
1. To see more of Jayfeather's stubbornness.
2. Just to make Shadowpaw more interesting like he was in the beginning of the book, and to be more interesting than Alderheart was because Alderpaw barely did a thing besides meeting Needlepaw.
And for Rootpaw, he's my second favorite.

I think Firestar should have been S, not Jayfeather. I do think Jayfeather is interisting but Firestar got me rooting for him so hard. He was the only character I cried for when he died.
I’m super late to this video but now that the Broken Code protagonists have three books, I kinda just wanna share my opinion somewhere.
My least favorite is definitely Bristlefrost. In the first book I DESPISED her. She had no sense of perspective. The Clans lost touch with StarClan, Bramblestar was dying of the sickness, and all she could think about was “OMG, Stemleaf doesn’t love me, I’ll never ever be happy again, nothing matters now” like GIRL, THE CLANS ARE FALLING APART AROUND YOU!!! She did get a little better after that and it was interesting to see a character who actually followed their leader’s orders without question, even though she didn’t necessarily agree with him. I’m not saying those decisions were good, but in my opinion there are far too many protagonists who go against their leaders simply because they think they know better.
My second favorite is Rootspring. I didn’t really have a strong opinion of him in the first book. He was just a little guy trying to secure a respectable place in his Clan. The thing I didn’t like about him was how he was so quick to give in to peer pressure to try to prove himself, and he was so obsessed with wanted other cats to like him. I do think there’s a lot of room for character growth because of that, but it was still quite annoying. Like Bristlefrost, he got better in the later books, but it still bugged me how he was so ashamed of Tree being his father. Tree has such cool powers, and such a unique personality, and he is proudly himself and doesn’t worry about what others think of him. I’m hoping that Rootspring will eventually pick up some of these traits from his father.
And my favorite protagonist of the Broken Code is Shadowsight! He was definitely the most relatable one for me. He had common sense, which is sometimes a lacking quality in protagonists, and he just wanted to do what he thought was right. He was insecure about his place as a medicine cat because of his strange visions, and he was worried that he was the reason that StarClan wasn’t speaking to them, which is relatable because there have been lots of circumstances in my life where I was unnecessarily worried that I was the problem in something when really it had nothing to do with me at all. Also, with the voice “guiding” him, he is confused about what to do about it but in the end he decides to do what he thinks is right, and it’s refreshing that for once what he thought was right actually wasn’t. Most protagonists worry about a decision and then do what they think is right, and they save the day and yay sunshine and rainbows. But Shadowsight made a decision (that seemed wise based on the information we were given at the time) and it didn’t turn out as well as protagonist actions usually do, instead escalating the conflict even more.
Sorry about this essay 😂 I do think it’s very refreshing to have protagonists in other Clans for once and I like how ShadowClan is breaking their mold of always being the bad guy! This time ThunderClan is the one that’s corrupted and in need of help, versus all the times that ThunderClan helped everyone else. I really like the Broken Code so far! 😝

I really dislike Jayfeather, not going to lie
I disliked Jaybae before but after I reread some of the power of three books my hate for him grew into some love. I think Leadpool and Hollyleaf could have gone up but I do agree with Brambleclaw and Alderheart.
I love Jayfeather, his personality is what makes him special and pretty cool too.
I'm glad you put Clear Sky on A.
Alot of people hate him for his actions, but he's still way better written than Brokenstar or Tigerstar.
Him and Onestar are my favourite anti-heroes because they do what they think of as right and you're able to emphatise with them, unlike a generous villain.

I like how he ranked them on there character and personality rather than there actions. If he ranked by there actions I think there would be a serious mix up.

I have the best warriors theory, the theory is that Dovewing was made one of the Three, only so Ivypool could become jealous and train in the Place of No Stars, so she could spy on them...
Thats the whole plot of the actual books.
I've always loved Hollyleaf. But know that I think about it, she lacks in some character. We never got a clear explanation during Omen of the Stars about all that Leafpool Ashfur drama. Or at least I think we didn't.
