I went just after the opening weekend to Leichhardt park... It was a bastard of a skate just to get there, shitty roads and pathways and then it sucked. Not worth the skate.
Cam is a legend .... he n the local boys added some diy 4 x to the park....but council took them all away ...shouts to Shano n Cam for frontn up cash designing and installing ....appreciate the vids Paxton

Ripping skating in this one! I love that park. The planes are part of the vibe and can make for some cool footage if you time it right. The only thing that I don't like is the amount of exhaust you'll breathe in from all of the cars during peak traffic times.

I actually broke my toe there a few months back too. Was just warming up and BS powerslid over the bank to bank, came off at a decent speed and ate it. Also never got to hit the DIY stuff that was cemented in. There is now a DIY ride on round flat bar that you can move on and off the park. Maybe thats the compromise with the council?
Ever paid to get a concrete drive way? Might open your eyes how expensive even basic concrete work is. Easy half that money went into wages also. Materials, labour, insurances, blah blah. It’s all justified in detailed quotes which the council would have demanded before approval. Also companies have to turn a profit. 2mil doesn’t go far these days.
I went to Oran Park skatepark today nice park but jeeeeez I barely got to skate to worried about running into scooter riders and parents who decide to sit on the grinding ledges with prams absolutely freaking nuts!!!!! I’m going to stick to Leumeah I think
@@LeonPaxton hahaha so true I took my daughter there on her scooter I’m teaching her to wait and be careful of other riders etc. By the way my new thunder trucks came I put them on the board with the new reds bearings in my old wheels there so sweet!!!!
Council removed the rails weeks ago the bastards. These were the second round of rails they took out too! I don't know why the locals can't add to the park, it's ours isn't it?
Yeah dude, I should have mentioned that the rails were removed since filming this video 👎🏽 It's so annoying but I think the council remove them because they weren't approved or installed by their own construction team? I'm sure there is a lot more going on behind the scenes but shout out to Cam for continuing to build these cool spots knowing that they will eventually get ripped out 🙌🏼
