- I have done it again... I have impressed myself with my progress on the welder and built an Insane Custom DIY Bash Bar for the Genesis! Hope you guys love it to!

100% agree with you here! DIY is SO much cooler than buying and installing parts
Engineer here. Triangles are the strongest structural shape (think truss bridges), and circles have the greatest area to perimeter ratio (think pizzas), and likewise spheres (melons). Therefore technically, spherical containers would be the most economical in terms of pure packaging and storage costs, but transportation and shelving spheres is logistically a nightmare. So square and cylindrical containers it is!
Could you explain why it flexed and what would be the best technical fix for it

Looks good. You could probably weld some small gussets into the corners of the triangles to take any flex out.
Robbie I wouldn’t put the front or rear bumper on again after making 2 nice bash bars I think it would look better if you just painted them purple to match the interior.

Hey bro just a few tips for the metal working if you get a tube notcher it would be so nice for you to weld and when you a cutting or grinding anything thats not stainless you should cover up the stainless things that can get hit by the sparks to keep it Nice and from rusting

I would 100% keep the 300ZX as a tuned daily. Don't go insane, keep the interior mostly stock, and just enjoy it. Because while the 300ZX is a performance car and can be made into a competent drift car, in reality it is meant to be a long-distance cruiser. So I think the best thing for it to make minor improvements to make it your own and just enjoy it as a daily, because that's what Nissan intended it for. Something to stomp all over the Corvette C4 that can actually handle pretty well, put down good power in the TT model, and still cruise for hours without any issue and without making the driver or passenger uncomfortable. Given how massive Canada is, I'd say having a cruiser in your collection is an absolute necessity. I know it is in the US, and it's hard to beat a 300ZX for that use case if you're a JDM fan. If you want to take that to its logical extreme, you get a JDM import TT automatic, but then you raise the ire of a bunch of manual only fanboys.
Edit: you guys need a pillar drill with a vise and some hole saw bits rated to cut steel. It makes it so much easier to cut the curve you need to fit the round bar into the support posts to weld them. It'll also make it loads easier when you inevitably get good enough at drifting that you feel the need for a roll cage. When you buy a vise, see if you can get a really big one that supports holding at various angles and tilts so you can cut the X members for the roll cage using a fine tooth metal hole cut bit.

You should add a bottom base plate as a jacking point on the bash bar its gonna make sure the tubing doesn't bend in on its self
Loving the shallow depth of field shots, are you using a new lens on the camera or just using the fstop and camera placement and zooming in a bit as well? Either way can see having Chris there to help build and shoot is improving the quality of the videos a lot.

might be a little late but adding a hydraulic jack to your bender will make it easier and you no longer have to bolt it to the floor!

Yo, you need to get a tube notcher if you plan to do more fab, especially for the cage.
Also do the bumper anodized purple like someone else said

What tool was used to cut the tubing? I always use my grinder and would rather have a clean cut from the start

Why didn't you clean the back??? I know you're getting the OEM bumper but it'd still look a lot nicer cleaned up when it has no bumper! When you paint the bars you should also paint the plates white too so they blend in more.
Next addition to the shop should be a drill press 😅

The hexagon is the strongest shape. It appears in nature very often when strength is needed
what tube bender is that and what size tubing are you using?
Next thing is to buy a tubing notcher 😉
