- Cleaning your ice maker can seem like quite the challenge - but don't let this chill your enthusiasm! Being proactive and taking apart your ice maker for routine cleaning maintenance can be a great repair measure, and it's definitely worth the trouble. Don't be intimidated - it's not as tricky as it looks! A few steps are all you need to take the ice maker apart, giving you comprehensive access to its parts for thorough cleanings. Enjoy crisp ice cubes for years to come by showing your ice maker some love and care with regular cleanings.
Thank you!!! I've been searching for 4 hours looking for a video like that !!!
Dam why it took so long lol
Thanks, everyone else just says “pour vinegar in and press start!” And “use a toothbrush!” Not take the cover off for a deep cleaning lol 😂 which is what I need to do to mine
Exactly!
Great video, was looking for a how to guide. On a side note. Would be nice if the company would make the top cover easier to remove to clean those hard to reach places. I didn't even think about the back area and some sort of reminder message for to clean machine.
Thank you so much... our ice machine has been acting weird lately. We just figured since we've had it for 5 years it was finally time to bite the dust, but I did everything you showed and it's back to making ice again perfectly
Thank you for this! I have the same ice machine and one day it just stopped working and kept telling me to add water. A bunch of other videos here are 3-8 minutes long and i was so glad i found yours! Now i have a clean machine and fresh ice again!
This saved our Northern Norway summer ❤️☀️ Thank you for the short, on point video!
I just purchased one today! Saving the video for when I need it lol! Thanks
Should be about that time! Friendly reminder to clean your ice maker 🧊🧽🪥

Tks you help me fix it i was about to trash the ice make
Thank you I wanted to really get in there to clean but wanted a video or something to like confirm how to take it apart lol gonna clean mine rn
No problem 👍
Thank you for sharing
This is How to tell Condenser Needs cleaned:
1) takes a longer time than usual to make ice.
2) discharge air coming from the machine is Hot 🥵 not Warm as it should be.
3) under normal operation the air coming out of the machine should not be hotter than 30 degrees over Room temperature. Example: 70 degree room temp = 100 degree air coming out of ice maker.
Great points!
I will need this a bit later but thank you
thanks
Use purified water to avoid the second problem
Wait 24hours before turning it back on if you flipped it. Or at least juste wait dont start it right away
Do you unpulg something at the end ofnthe video or plug something back around the water intake? Thanks for the video, will do this in a few months!
Yea ty😅
The scoop on my won't spin so I can clean the inside how did you get yours to open so you can clean the side part and inside the scoop
can I leave it on all the time?
Does this model have a “self cleaning mode”? If so what buttons do I press or hold ?
I have 2 screws that just won't come off. They just keep spinning, so they are loose, but just won't drill outward. Any suggestions?
mine was leaking when making ice.....do you know how to fix it??
My evaporator is not working not getting cold
No one else saw a scrambled video? It happened at the exact same spot every time. I refreshed, closed my browser, and let it loop. It still scrambled at about 3-5 seconds.
Sorry about that! It has been sped up a lot however to keep it under a minute.
@@Our1Chance Thanks for the reply! I think my computer is possibly glitching. No worries!!
You should not turn these on their side! This will cause the freon to move incorrectly!!
If that's the case, I believe you have to let it sit unplugged for 24 hours before turning back on.
So then it’s obviously fine to lay it on it’s side? It’s not like a refrigerator?
You should wait a while to turn it back on after laying it on its side.
How did you get your thing to turn? Mine stays tight and i can't clean the inside
It’s a bit of a challenge but it moves. Seems to have a high gear ratio
Got a slower version? Lol
Where is the self clean
Do not put the unit on its side. It can cause damage to the machine.
What's more damaging, putting it on its side or letting it get filthy?
I would just buy a new one if it looks like that
