36yo now, and I started running last month. I’ve been a gym bro since I was a teen, so i built up some bulk. This video has exactly the kinds of info that are helpful to me.

There’s A LOT of folks out there who need to hear 27:25-28:00
Important concepts that so many(myself) included forget. Call people in to engage in movement rather than calling people out for 1)Not moving and 2) Not moving the way you do
    Well said, Mark!

Amazing stuff! All your vids are so well done. I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. Have you ever used any of these custom meal plan tools? I got one from Next Level Diet to help me maintain my physique and I actually like their plans. Was just wondering if you've heard of or tried any of them yourself. Thank you!

Heel strikes are an issue if you over extend, all energy transfer goes to the knees in that case.

I've always been an athletic guy and very competitive...never really liked running though but I still do it whenever I can and one of the biggest things I've learned is to go slow...dammit, don't make it a race to beat your previous time out all the time....don't try to keep those higher paces you've done before just because you've done it before....go SLOWWWW....if you want to make running a habit and something you can stick with, don't run so fast all the time, just get out and jog and take it easy...you'll figure out quick if you are feeling real good and want to go a little quicker that day or if you don't feel so great and just drag your ass, but when in doubt, just go slow. Continually running "fast"(whatever that is for you) day in and day out, will make you want to quite for sure.....it'll burn you out.

Light Pole existing... Mark runs by denting it for no reason. Pole is like, "wtf bro? What I do to you? You hit me three times just for standing here"?

I'm trying to get back in running shape. Got caught up in powerlifting and allowed myself to lose all my mobility. Now, even simple jogging just seems to hurt my entire body😡 what's sad is I used to be the fastest Sprinter on the track team, now I can barely run.

Hey man your lower half looks pretty good when you make a point to get the foot moving backwards before making contact with the ground. Upper half still a little stiff with some unnecessary turning of the shoulders, but overall getting great progress.

Running at a 8.5 mile per hour pace for more than a mile is above average. Only a fit individual can do that 👆.

Long Slow Running makes you Slow: short sprints with alot of rest still gets you fit but it helps you maintain your fast twitch muscle fibers for strength training and powerlifting.
Don't just jog Slow everyday you lifting will suffer.

Long slow running builds your aerobic base which is the foundation of cardiovascular health
