Leo Kern's minor role in Space:1999 was blip upon tremendous long career. He was known for his role as Number II in Prisoner Spy series. And best known as British Balistor Rumpole in long running PBS series Rumpole of the Bailey.
Tony was deliciously cute an his hilariously flirtatious 4eva run-ins with love interest Mya were superbly acted. My personal favourite was the stunnigly beautiful shapeshifter, Mya.
I did not know that Stuart Damon was on the show. He was also on General Hospital as Dr. Alan Quartermaine. He was so good on GH. A mix of seriousness and a sense of humor. RIP Stuart. I also loved Space 1999. It was too short of a series. Martin Landau and Barbara Bain were also great on Mission Impossible TV show.
1) you keep on saying: Space..... 1999. They're not separated, they should be pronounced together. I went to the Convention in London last month and nobody says it your way, including the son and daughter of Anderson, the creator of the show. 2) who is this friend and fellow actor that died and traumatised all of them? 3) everybody has health problems in old age, it's not a big surprise. Anyway, thanks for showing our beloved TV series and for imitating the voice of the computer of Moonbase Alpha
As they navigated....deep personal tragedy....they took comfort in friends.... yada yada yada Tragedy struck when at the very young age of 95 he went to sleep and never woke up. Leo McKern and no mention of his role as #2 on The Prisoner 😮😮😮
you should be showing ONLY Photos from Space 1999, because, when you don't i have no clue of the episode, could of been some background actor, all we know. Most of them lived a long life.
Seemed same actor(esses) on both Mission Impossible an Space 1999; couldn't the directors find any other candidates or was variety of cast members short f that particular time frame?
@@janysmahoney1271 the production was made in the UK but they needed 'name' stars if they wanted to reach the American audience so they went with Landau and Bain who were still married back then. If they hadn't signed on they had a backup ready. And this blows my mind. It was.... Robert Culp (I Spy )and Marion Ross (The Graduate) Would have been interesting...
Very good job dudes and nicely well done!! Congratulations 996.87% yo throughout the 3rd sizzling patriotic hot week of said outstanding October y'all. Only Barbara Bain is the only surviving member of SPACE 1999.
@@alanroberson9749 She's not the only surviving member. Last month I met: Nick Tate, Catherine Shell, Anton Phillips, Yasuko Nagazumi, Prentis Hancock, Carla Romanelli, Quentin Pierre, Pam Rose, Jack McKenzie, Loftus Burton, John Hug, Ina Skriver, Gianni Garko, Jess Conrad, Suzanne Peterson, Clifton Jones, Jack Claff, Hayward Morse (son of Barry) and many others, all alive and kicking! Barbara Bain was on video conference with us from her home. I had autographs and photos with all of them 😍
When was that Star Wars guy married to Supreme Commander Servalan?!?!? Jacqueline Pierce? I though she waa never married but who knows. Maybe breaking up with her made him do Star Wars as Red Leader.
OMG… I can’t stand these AI narrations: “His/her role in Space………… 1999, which began airing in 1975.” And what is this annoying and repetitive B.S. about everyone suffering “however tragedy struck, because of the loss of a close friend and fellow actor which weighed heavily on his/her heart. He/she also battled his issues in his/her later years…” Couldn’t an actual human edit out the lazy repetitive crap for once? Also, around 20% of the actors named here I don’t remember seeing them at all. They were maybe two minutes on camera as extras. Sorry, but this whole video is really lousy, almost to the point of insulting.
Barbara Bain and Martin Landau used to play on "Mission:Impossible" together.
yep another good show.
Always liked this show, not enough episodes.

Song-"I want to fly like an Eagle, to the sea.
Fly like an Eagle, let my spirit carry me.."
👍👍👍👍Great show.
So who's the close friend/fellow actor who seems responsible f the heartache of many?
Last time I checked, Helena Russell aka Barbara Bain was still alive.😮😮😮😮😮
She is and is in her 90s now
Why do you always pick 27 members and why do you feel that someone who passes away from natural causes in their late 80’s a tragic ending.
Tony was deliciously cute an his hilariously flirtatious 4eva run-ins with love interest Mya were superbly acted.

Christopher Lee lived a long and good life. I'll never make 95.
Surprised the TH-cam Thumbnail didn't show Brian Blessed😂😂😂
This AI is really stupid... Besides that, it's clear that almost everybody named died at an old age. Wow, what a surprise...
Like Babylon 5 most of these were 'one time' guest spots.
They did not 'join the cast'.
Have your AI get it straight.😮😮

A stunningly visiual serial concept which i grew up on (even tho the socalled evil monsters seemed a little flat/pathetic).
This is AI written.. listen for the 'catch phrases' throughout.
So every actor lost a close actor friend that affected each of them ?

I was wondering the same thing. Not such a good friend is he/she?
Space..................1999😮😂😂😂

Im surprised it not saying Space one-nine-nine-nine.
Did Dotrice marry his own sister. 😂😂😂😂
No mention of person performing voice of Alpha Base Main Computer.
Awww everyone lost a close friend & colleague and they all went to hell. I call bullshit.

Tony Anholt became East Indian?
The Morses died in 1939.

They should have built this show on a season 3 of UFO, with this cast, expanding on the growing time-line.
