Thank you for this video. You really made a point that the M6 re issue is basically an MP changed into an M6. I own an M6 classic and the points you made really made sense. Gosh. .. Thank you!
Thank you. A Premium Class unboximg and overview. I have this M6 but confess that my first mechanical love remains the M3, pleasured with a Sunny 16 Rule .... But, for many, this has style, looks, practicality and ease of maintenance, if ever required.
Hahaha I know you!! You are a vintage guy! The new M6 is sexy but I already have the Classic M6 and a new MP 😊 (trying to convince myself that I don't need it lol)
Great video. I have a 1985 M6, and can confirm all the differences you mentioned. I think it's worth noting that the M6 reissue has the upgraded "MP" finder optics with reduced glare in the focusing patch, as compared to the original M6.
Oh ya! I didn't get to mention that in the video. Thanks for bringing it up!! This is an added bonus for those who are considering between the Classic and the reissued M6 😊
Cool video. That these are brass instead of magnesium is worth the money over a vintage M6. I thought the M11 was black anodized? And this looks like black chrome? I’d prefer black paint for sure though.
I think the M11 is black painted not anodized... Though the silver version is brass & magnesium... most people prefer black paint 😁 Thanks for tuning in! 😊
Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I just looked into this, seems like the separate link pops up on the video if you view it on a mobile device. But on a computer or TV the link(s) show up on the bottom of the video description. My first Leica is a silver M6 purchased in 1992 together with a black 35 mm Summicron version 4 lens. The camera box is in white, not black. Still in great shape after over 30 years.
Yeah, the M6 is back. Film is back, LP's are back. But I do not think they have legs. We part ways on film. I did my time in darkrooms. I understand some folks like film, and the M9 is supposed to be film-like. I enjoy how you present your content. You did your homework. Thanks.
@@NoctiGirl Film is harder and harder to get. Digital can be made to look like film and I think that is where we are heading. Nostalgia drives some of the film thing. I'll keep following your posts to see where you go with it. Cheers
Sorry about that! The audio files were corrupt when we were recording this video so I had to re-record the audio separately afterwards. Hope it didn't throw you off too much!
Hey you!! Great to hear from you!! Such a pretty machine this is!
Thank you!! 😊

@@NoctiGirl I have a Chrome MP, which is beautiful, but I love my M3(s). I do have a classic M6, too, but still the M3. Stubborn camera love.
😍😍😍
Just got this exact camera a few days ago and I’m absolutely loving it! Now I have two dream cameras, the M11 and the M6 reissue
That's so awesome!! You've got the best of both worlds! 😄
I like your Mama Leica t-shirt. I still have my original M6 box. I love those old instruction manuals.
Hehehe thanks!! I love my Leica shirts 🤓 I also love vintage things! Those old instruction manuals were so cool 😊
Well done, very informative. I better go shoot some film on my MP.
Thanks for tuning in Peter!! I agree, I better go shoot more of my own gear so I don't develop impure thoughts on new gear that I don't have... 🤭

1:03 just a cordial heads up. The link to a different video didn’t show up with you pointed upward to it. :(

@@NoctiGirl hey thanks for the heads up. Always looking forward to your videos!

That's awesome! My first Leica was also a silver M6, though it didn't come with papers or box. I still love it very much! 😊
Golly, makes me want to shoot film again!
Consider this an invitation to start shooting film again!! 😁😉
Nice review, looks tempting! But I think I will stick to my M7 because I'm a lazy person. ;-)
That's awesome! The M7 is a pretty sexy beast too 😉

Haha, thanks for tuning in! Film is so expensive to shoot now, I'm forced to shoot more digital for the time being... 🥹

I feel like the sound is off by just a tad bit when I see her lips move

When the packaging is overdone, you know you're getting ripped off, like every Leica product. Just a ripoff
🥲
