According to the official ratings by Google on lineups, ronaldo was given the top ratings in 3 of the 5 games he played in the euros and in the two games he was rated third. On the other hand the same system rated messi below 5th in 4 of the 5 games he played in copa america. So, should we believe the ratings of subjective haters or should we believe the ratings of a computerized system? The narrative of ronaldo slowing down portugal has no proof. They promoted the same narrative when Ronaldo was in man utd. They said that ronaldo was the hinderance to man utd. Ronaldo left man utd and the team got worse.
