you know i used to get mad at the ads that were poking fun at sony,but seeing them now it just makes me laugh because sony is still alive while sega is six feet under lol
Although the majority of commercials in the video are of North American ads there are a couple of Japan commercials, one of Sonic CD at 4:56 and of the Sega Dreamcast, at 10:04.
I found the US Genesis/CD/maybe 32X (not sure), Game Gear and Saturn commercials very provocative. I’m pretty sure a Nintendo fan would’ve got pissed off and say “THAT’S IT! I’M CALLING THE FCC FOR PROVOCATIVE ADVERTISING!” In my opinion, those commercials should’ve been banned for being provocative. I also think it was a cheap, manipulative strategy imo but SNES still beat Genesis (thankfully). I like to think that SNES has better and more games on the system compared to Sega Genesis (I feel like it has more shittier games but still lots of good games too). Only for Genesis or Saturn or whatever, so what? At least the SMS weren’t provocative. Neither were the ads in the East. I’m sure SoJ would’ve disapproved of SoA’s advertising. Also, I like the fact that Sega Saturn beat the Nintendo 64 in Japan. Saturn has better games than N64 imo and there’s more too. Thankfully the Dreamcast has no provocative ads. I believe Sega learned their lesson and forgave Nintendo and Sony when they transformed into a third-party developing and publishing company/team.
The master system was a great system. It was actually much better than the NES. Better graphics more on screen colors, but the SMS never caught on the way the NES did.
@@frankhdz I'm not gonna defend the NES much, though. To be honest, I can't name a single NES game out of the Mario, Zelda and Mega Man series that I really liked so much. For me, real gaming was born on the 16 bit era.
@@geopyro1587 There were some great games in the 8 bit era. Most came towards the end. One of my favorite games was Ninja Gaidan on the NES. Bionic Commando was another great title. The Master System got some great arcade ports mainly towards the end of the 8 bit era, like Space Harrier, Out Run, and I believe there was an 8 bit Altered Beast. There was Shinobi on the SMS all great games even in 8 Bit.

I love Nintendo and SEGA. Nintendo includes Merio and Kirby, SEGA includes Sanic and Puyo Puyo.
