Funny thing is im so use to using weapons without left handed controls that i don't even care about ambidextrous controls. They only thing i changed was the mag release on my glock 19. It actually fucked me up for awhile because I was so use to using my middle finger. I don't even bother with ambi on my AR. I'm so use to flipping the safety and hitting the bolt release with my trigger finger that I don't really wanna change it.
Im right handed. Im used to pressing the slide catch up with my right index and I pull the slide back to release. I also prefer the Euro style paddle mag release because I can also use my index finger to drop the mag.
As a lefty I have learned to do a lot of things right handed and that has been instilled in me since I was a kid. I appreciate ambi firearms but I’m so used to doing things right handed that I can still get by.
ran a west German 225 and 220 in my early 20s as a lefty. and I like Cole had to do it on my own and then when I switched to glocks and m&p's I could manipulate the gun quicker as a lefty. now with the 320 I still run it like a lefty in a right handed world.
As a lefty, and also bought a MK25 P226 back in ‘13, I had to figure out how to manipulate the decocker. Even going through basic, where we didn’t have an ambi selector on the M4, it was a struggle at first, but I just stopped complaining and trained.
With some platforms, being a lefty can actually be an advantage. For instance, with 1911s/2011s, I can hit the slide release with my trigger finger and mag release with my middle finger, all without breaking my grip.
The 226 MK25 is my go to shtf pistol. Being a right hand shooter but doing many things ambi. I could probably develop some technique. If not the Sig it would be a form of the Beretta 92 series. Good thing there is ambi safety/decocker and reversible mag. release.
Curious to have you guys try to kit out the 226s with the modern aftermarket parts. You get it tuned right and it can be one of the best DA/SA guns out there. Granted, it’s still not a lefty’s gun since you can only change the mag release. They do make gas pedal take down levers for it though. Grips are plentiful too. Sig SRT for a short reset with a crisp wall. Dual adjustable triggers to remove overtravel and DA pretravel. Get it worked on and with some spring tuning and you can get to a 5lb DA and sub 2lb SA without any light strikes while having no SA pretravel. Quite an underrated platform since its reputation as a duty weapon precedes its potential to be known for anything else. Ran me great for production or even 2-3 gun matches.
As a left handed guy, i hate when other left handed guys complain that most guns don’t have ambidextrous controls. It doesn’t matter, you should be able to pick up anything and make it run. Yes it can get awkward but it’s still important.
I do use ambi safety on my AR and 1911 but not for semi auto pistols or bolt actions. Got so used to them as a kid that using left handed feels awkward.
Not a gun user here wanna ask a question: Some say a right-hand man aim n shot better using left hand, is it true? (under same situation and practice with same gun)
I'm a retired Deputy and left handed and we were issued the P229. Before that I carried HK USP with the lever on the right side. What's nuts is I shoot a rifle right handed. I am ambidextrous but dominantly left-handed.
Cmon apprentice your making us look bad sprockets always pushing u up hill not to mention what happens when u let go slide back down push your self OUT
Is the MK25 part of your EDC? Which knife do you prefer to carry with you? Microtech? Spartan Blades, Winkler? I’d heard you guys got your own tomahawks. Oh, I mean “breaching tools”. Did you get to design your own Mr Shipley, Mr Cole?
Sigs intelligence are from a different country, now integrated into United States like Glock. If the united state military or government is using these weapon of choice, it’s because United States fire arms companies are missing something. Now mind that I think that’s just for handguns, I think United States makes great rifles. Let me what you think

I did the same to my G42. I swapped the mag release around and that was good enough for me
I’m a lefty with a MK 25 so this is right up my alley. 🤙🏻
The left handed community needs more videos like this
Good info, my youngest daughter is left handed so I may have to revisit this when that special day comes…her first pistol 🥰
This guy is fantastic at handling recoil. I would love to get lessons from him and how he just makes the gun so flat when shooting.
Fellow lefty! Give me all the lefty content brother! Thanks!

We need more Left handed videos. 🫡🙏🏽
Fellow lefty. Yes. More. Please.
Being a lefty you just figure it out back in the day. It's nice to have some ambi stuff today.
Top content keep it flowing lads.
The new offensive drop t-shirts came in the mail today, so stoked😎💪

The MK25 is one of the Coolest pistols ever and or the p226 series of Pistols in General. Are yall ever gonna do the MK23 pistol by any chance?

I feel 'm. Starting in the Police academy had a sig 226 no left handed anything. Had to work through it too.

Do you practice lefty in case you right arm gets blown off?…or your thumb actually.🎉
Omg you a southpaws. I have 7 sig p226 9mm ..In gunfighter school has to learn to shoot weak hands
It's really dumb that they didn't incorporate Ambi controls on the Sig Sauer P Series Pistols.
The sand people had one thing right; only using their left hands to wipe their butts. 🤣
@gbrs what is this holster?
It’s ours, you can find it on our site.

SIGs are made right handed, not wrong handed because they are a quality firearm.
