Wichita kansas has plenty of employment and cost average home is 174,000 and cost of living is 16% below national there are things to do also! Unless your looking for beaches or mountains. I have lived here 8 years now and was able to afford to buy a home instead of renting. Considering I am disabled. I can afford to live here and my home is in a nice suburb are of Wichita.
@@rediron44 if you want to party maybe, I do not have issues with govt. I like it coming from living in different areas, Minnesota, North Carolina, Florida and NYC. Best place for me.
All of these cities share one thing in common.....they ALL are extremely car-centric and have no walkability. Im so tired of all these lists that dont take into consideration that not everyone wants to always drive everywhere.
Is there a place that's inclusive to everyone and not expensive. These places have a pretty conservative and not very welcoming to all people. Texas has a power grid that can't support it's population and breaks when you need it most. Birmingham is the 15th highest crime rate among states, which isn't great, high poverty and severe weather both tornadoes and the left overs of hurricanes. Akron also has a pretty significant crime rate.
There ‘s a reason Brownsville is affordable - nobody would want to live there. Same for Birmingham and Akron. People are bailing out of there. Decent places to live usually aren’t cheap.
Oklahoma City: women will hit the glass ceiling pretty quickly but being super fit might help. The housing and rental costs have gone up a lot more than stated in this video. My neighbor is asking about $2,000 rental which is outrageous for our neighborhood. You must have a reliable auto to get anywhere. People are usually nice enough. State government has degenerated about as far as it can go which tells you a little bit about the education around here. I remember when we used to have more to be proud of. Better not come here until after you’ve had all your children because they will let you die if you have a pregnancy emergency. A state judge just ruled against that today, actually, but they tend toward religionist fascism here so they do what they want.
Bad list. You should have presented cheap cities that are somewhat livable. Several of the places you listed are so cheap because no one wants to live there.
@@cumulus1234 BS. Thats completely false. There are homeless in every decent sized city I've ever been too. Cincinnati has alot, Ohio has alot of crime too. Check out Cleveland and Cincinnati and Youngstown and Toledo crime statistics..you may be surprised
@@rediron44 now don’t put words in my mouth, I did not say that there was no crime or homeless, just less than certain areas mentioned. Also cities in Ohio base crime statistics on crime in the small city limits where many other cities use the whole county which would be a much less crime rate. Chicago is based on cook county, If Cincinnati was based on Hamilton county the crime rate would be 65% less as an example.

Any average for home of over 200,000 thousand and cost of living that is less then 15% cost equal to do that it is too high already at least for me
I could never live in a flat place.
None of those 10 I would like to live in. The environment, the climate ....

Athens Georgia, Eureka Springs Arkansas, Bloomington Indiana.

Its usually more of a reflection of wages. Unless you have special, highly desired job skills, its not worth moving to alot of these places
News flash.....
Aint nothing affordable today

Ohio = rust belt. What about crime n homeless ness?
Columbus is actually a decent city. Clean, modern, lively, and has tons to do. And no, I dont live there
@@rediron44 I agree and I don't live there either!
Crime and homelessness is west coast , New York, Illinois, east coast, Ohio has a lot less than those places. Much more livable

I've been to Wichita, Kansas several times. It's beautiful, and the people are nice. Have you actually visited there? I bet not.
I've always wanted to go to Winston-Salem.
