When gin and rangiku were kids they lived together/in the same area (poor district) and were friends. Gin basically loved rangiku. When you see the flash backs of him watching aizen and that flowing purple stuff which is part of rangikus soul. That's after he saw those guys leaving the area where rangiku loved and he found her on the ground unconscious. He followed them and found Aizen with it. At that moment he swore to kill aizen for doing that to rangiku. For around 110 years he's been scheming and playing the role nearly perfectly (obviously aizen knew what was going on). All that time just to get revenge for what aizen did to rangiku.
Now that we are at the Gin reveal, we can look at all of the things that happened along the way. We see how strong Gin is when, in a comedic moment he subdued Kenpachi and dragged him away from Byakua. By pushing Ichigo out of the gate he changed the direction by which the kids entered the Soul Society, making it more difficult for them to be tracked. When he confronted Rukia on the bridge, was he really going to rescue her or not. On the plateau he kept Ishida and Chad out of the conflict by suppressing them with spiritual pressure. Each time Aizen was in conflict and Gin was present, he wasn't getting involved because he was looking for a weakness. Every single step Gin took was to try to stay one step ahead of Aizen.
The first episode in this reaction shows you that Aizen created his own hogiyoku long before he went after the one in Rukia and why gin was the way he was.
@@supercloudreed he most likely combined them while in hueco mundo so he could make the arrancars, and fused with it right before going to the world of the living
Actually by this point they have gave you all the information on both hogiyokus. Aizen was conducting experiments in hollowfacation to understand how he could transcend both races, he created his own hogiyoku after learning about urraharras cause it could help with his experiments. But his was not equal to urraharras and kept causing the experiments to fail. So he then decided to go after urraharras and after he obtained it and left to hueco Mundo he combined his with urraharras and began creating the arranncar he then fused with it right before he left hueco Mundo.
I assume someones already told yall this, but Gin also used his fight with Ichigo to go Bankai. He then kept his sword in Bankai the whole time, waiting for his chance. He couldn't just randomly announce his Bankai if he was planning to sneak Aizen. Just a little extra insight into his planning. This reveal adds so much depth to his character. I love it!

And didn’t he say something like that too? How “lesser/weaker” beings chose whatever “truth” suits them best and then call it reality? …like… he unintentionally predicts it. He became “lesser” than Ichigo, and clung to his idea of “truth”-that his power would never be less than his adversaries.

what fight? Asspull 'mcguffin' verses asspull MC /plot/duex machina. Bleach has no consistent power system, and barely any 'actual' battles. Most fights are predictable formulaic reverse uno table flip scenarios. When things are one sided, thats not really a battle. Its just a spectacle, and Kubo's art and paneling is gorgeous. Essentially its just a bunch of fantastic images played in sequence, and while the art is great, the writing is... well i dont know if id call it writing... the 'storyboarding' is flawed to say the least, albeit there are reasons for that which are not Kubos fault persay. The most amazing part about bleach, imo, is that is exists at all and managed to finish against all odds. Its a cool manga, with a few good ideas and moments, but for every good thing in bleach theres more plotholes, contradictions, or unnecessary asspulls to come with it. TBF, not just tryin to spew hate for the sake of it. I grew up with bleach and own the entire manga. Ive been a fan and have nostalgia and love for the manga and Kubo himself. Ive read his interviews and diatribes and know his personal struggle, and see Kubo as a victim of a lot of issues with the business and way manga is produced, along with his personal struggles plus being one of the few 'successful' long term mangaka that refused to have a consistent team of ppl to help him, as he already struggled with the editorial process and keeping artistic control. Bla bla, point being, i can love kubo and be a 'fan' of bleach, and still be able to see and admit to its flaws, and have some negative takes for that matter. That doesnt mean that people shouldnt like bleach, i love bleach, and i like to point out its flaws too. Im watching reactions to it, afterall... Have to post qualifiers these days to say anything negative about bleach though. Fandoms on average seem quite defensive these days and not willing to critique or admit there could be flaws in their religion or something lol (being hyperbolic obv) This 'conclusion' was rather unpopular when it released back in the day for reasons, and the shifty place the bleach fandom has been in for a decade stems from that.... most critics and fans were quite disappointed with much of how this arc was written, and many, myself included, wished that Kubo had taken a hiatus, as long as necessary, rather than force thru to an unplanned unthought out incomplete ending. This is why we cant have nice things, but im not blaming Kubo. He was under immense pressure from almost every conceivable aspect of his business and personal life for a long time in one of the most unforgiving grueling industries for an artist to work in, and 'mostly' going it alone. In that sense, i appreciate his work still, tho ofc Ill always praise his art and presentation, not so much his writing/storyboarding/plot, as its just plain and simply not his forte. He prefers to speak through his art, and does a great job at that. Unironically, i actually think many segments or aspects of bleach would be much better with less information and less dialogue, as that is where all of bleach's flaws reside. It all came down to a deux machina and there was no 'battle', nor was there any real accomplishment or growth from the main cast. Instead its a never seen or heard of ultra duper secret move that no other zanpakto user will ever mention or use or know about ever again, just for this one time, oh and apparently Ishin has this too lol. Kubo just made that up, definition of asspull, even though there were plenty of viable ways to have a similar but more satisfying conclusion, it just would have required more forethought and/or more chapters. It woulda made more sense if this powerup had been a letzt stil, or... 'zangetsu' giving him his .... (if u know u know). And there were literally people suggesting this back then, BEFORE the current arc. In other words, many manga fans who nerded out on reddit theories were way ahead of and more consistent than Kubo on some things with his own story lol. Me and my friends who talked about bleach over a decade ago had assumed ichigo was (u know if u know) even before this part of the manga (there were some clues early on in the manga, plus, obvious story is obvious). Well.... atleast it came at a cost.... owait... noooo... This doesnt hit a fraction as well as the way HxH did things with nen contracts for example, and had a much more emotional and narrative buildup around the mechanics, all woven together meticulously. Unfair comparison perhaps, one is meticulously storyboarded with years off between arcs or story segments, the other is a weekly release with no time between for anything but drawing the next chapter. Perhaps most disappointing part of this, imo, was Aizen. Every bit of characterization he had from the prior chapters was trashed. That facepalm ichigo did, while it might be hype to kids or people who just wanna see memey cool moments, was basically the end of this arc and its villain, narratively. The character once called aizen vanished and was replaced with a cardboard cutout of the most typical boring elementary kids' cartoon villain, down to every word and action. His IQ drops 200 points, his brain stops working, and no one learned anything in the process. Kubo just loves to expose characters... i get it... but trashing your villain in this particular way makes the conflict moot and all the setup up to now rather ridiculous. Theres no point, no lesson to learn, no real philosophical exploration of characters and motives, no deeper meaning. Ichigo doesnt even have to try he just stands there looking cool while some idiot shouts nonsense that has nothing to do with why this story even happened. And its not because ichigo was really tactical, or intelligent, or that he was good at swordsmanship, or was able to influence others or lead people or inspire ppl. He doesnt have a better or worse resolve, he doesnt have a better or worse plan. He just has a high power level, which wasnt earned nor necessary. Cool story, never seen that before.... Not that the outcome doesnt work, but the devils in the details. This was all just a big masturbatory spectacle with no substance, imo. Does it ruin bleach? Ofc not, bleach was never that deep to begin with. The trigger for this post is clearly a decade old wound resurfacing lol... seeing so many ppl be so positive and biased about these flawed narratives from a fanboy angle, when even the author admits to their worst times, to them being miserable, in over their head, in dire need of a break, ect. I wouldnt be surprised if he was considering suicide at times, given some comments hes made about emotional and mental turmoil. Meanwhile, these niave 'fans' giving it all a thumbs up, green light, saying "yup, thats good stuff, keep it up!" Aside from the issues of the industry, animators and mangaka are infamously poorly treated and compensated until a certain point of success, it also starts to seem like the fandoms of this 'era' are incapable of critical examination or admitting to anything as a negative, even in cases where as a fan, they should be wanting better for the authors and artists, rather than pining for more rushed content to consume. Would you rather your favoreite piece of fiction/art be done by someone suicidally stressed, overworked, underslept, underpaid, and wishing they could quit, or would you prefer they enjoy their lives and have time off to brainstorm and create better work when the time comes? Praising this "fight" or conclusion (whatever u wanna call it) as if its really amazing work is (to me) like saying season 8 Game of Thrones was amazing work (imo). Its lazy rushed asspulls by an artist who was admittingly objectively overextended, stressed beyond imagination, and wanting a fucking break to breathe again... which is fking sad, tragic even imo. And yet, people accepting these scenarios and this system and the work it produces, the horrible conditions for those trying to work within it, and the lackluster results it leads to for some. I for one, as a fan of Kubo, dont see the need to turn my brain off and praise things i see glaring issues with, but rather mourn that he was forced to endure and ruin his own passion. I think bleach could have been something entirely different, not just a typical shoenen but maybe something really different, if Kubo had his way, but it wasnt the case unfortunately.
Aizen just experienced agains Gin what Ichigo experienced against Ulquiorra. Sadly for Gin and Ulquiorra and they have that undertaker second breath there.
I love how the energy just… changes in these episodes. Like, he’s giving the same lectures he’s always does-the kind that used to make him seem like he had complete control of any situation. But now… the whole vibe is different, and the audience *feels* it. Now, Aizen is the one who seems desperate. And even though he hasn’t shown the extent of his power yet, Ichigo is the one who seems completely in control.
Gin did win, honestly. Hougyoku reviving Aizen even outside his body was something even Aizen didn't know. He "feared" for his life which made him evolve.
Gins poem about him being a snake is one of my favorite poems in the whole series... I just like how Kubo didnt justify Gins sadistic actions through the line "If tommorrow youll turn into snake and starts devouring humans"- Gin knew that by the time he joined Aizen and starts killing people he already knew his no longer a saint! and thats why the line.. "You cried out to me you love me... I wonder, Would I still be able to say I love u the same way I do today?" hits very deep... He knew what he did and he knew Rangiku wouldnt stand that fact! I mean he knew that he killed innocent people just to get back whats taken from her! If Rangiku knew that fact she will totally doubt the love she always had for him.... Sorry for my grammar lol.. English is not my native language...
308 was a payback episode. Back in the soul society arc after Rukia was saved from execution. Aizen caught Ichigo's Bankai like it was nothing. back then Bankai was a big deal. 308 Ichigo did the same and received Aizen's sword as if nothing.
Good catch on saying Ichigo's bankai hilt not being what first comes to mind as it's a different culture. The symbol is deeply connected to Buddhism and the divine in Asian cultures.
I mean it pretty much is, in terms of lethality, The fact that he can do that much dmg to Aizen when he is "God form" and almost killed him Gin just had that level of power in terms of unique lethal power, its better than Soi Fon's, all he needs is 1 hit into a target and he is gone. Just that only thing holding him back was just Complete Hypnosis making it hard to ensure a hit If Gin was alive, he would very well fit into being the Stealth Force top man, stealth would need one to be sneaky like a snake to begin with

To this day we still don't know for sure what rangiku lost we have speculations like a part of her soul etc etc but we still don't know. It's sad too because kubo said he wanted to give her an arc all to herself but scrapped the idea
Wrong it was confirmed in the light novels. Rangiku had a part of the soul kings body in her soul (the nail) and thats what he stole. The nail is responsible for people turning into fullbringers. Aizen says in the novels that he didnt expected rangiku to survive AND to be able to become a high ranking shinigami, despite missing a huge part of her soul. That shows how powerful rangiku COULD have been. But yeah its a shame that kubo was not able to put that information in the manga because he had to rush the end, espicially because he said "rangikus backstory will be the key to the story" back then. Hopefully the anime will fix that!

@@f4rensabri ok? I know......
@@f4rensabri literally what's your point?
Gin was following Aizen's orders on pushing Ichigo out the gate. Aizen wanted Ichigo to use the cannon to enter SS.
@@ASageCalledQ true I might be giving him too much credit on that one.
I find it hilarious how they're all laughing at Aizen trying to hype himself up.
I love it!
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! THE GIN REVEAL IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS WHEN I FIRST WATCHED IT BRUUUH!!
Seriously major congratulations to the 3 of you including Erza, on reaching 100k subs, huge milestone and I can't wait to see the plaque!
16:27 his sword can turn to dust just like Rangiku's. Gin's my favorite character in all of Bleach. Just like Itachi in Naruto, & Severus Snape in Harry Potter. Anti-heroes are my absolute favorite archetype, and it takes a very skilled storyteller to make anti-heroes shine.
Thank you 🙏🏽

8:00 I was thinking the same as you guys. You never know with that man.
37:33 Ichigo was like "Yeah, doesn't feel so good, does it Aizen?"
My only gripe is that they killed gin. Man coulda been a great addition to the squad right now especially in the new arc.
Aizen making up random theories because he cant accept the truth will always be funny
37:32 Ichigo finally got his revenge 😂
Tite kubo really delivered the story plot...that plot twist though left us shocking when the manga released these chapters years ago...and if i remember, became trending news and most talked chapter...great reaction guys for understanding Gin's story, and you guys nearly teared up but i think you all did especially adorkbale...exciting for the next 2 episodes and the next arc! And also most excited for TYBW arc!
That form of aizen with the wings is known as "butterflaizen"
Ichigo the most mature main character out of the big 3
By far. Like not anywhere close 😂
Ichigo pulled up with that emo look and that Black Air Force energy and communicated to Aizen w/o words saying, "I've come to push your sh*t in and there is not a damn thing you can do about it......." freaking glorious **chef's kiss**🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌
I'm sure Dangai ichigo and Bully maguire are gonna great friends if they meet 😂
Here we are. The long-awaited final fight between Ichigo and Aizen.
Fandoms on average seem quite defensive these days and not willing to critique or admit there could be flaws in their religion or something lol (being hyperbolic obv)
This 'conclusion' was rather unpopular when it released back in the day for reasons, and the shifty place the bleach fandom has been in for a decade stems from that.... most critics and fans were quite disappointed with much of how this arc was written, and many, myself included, wished that Kubo had taken a hiatus, as long as necessary, rather than force thru to an unplanned unthought out incomplete ending.
To be clear, Gin is an absolute sociopathic killer. But he did love Rangiku. He can be both. He is faaaaaaaar from a good guy.
Aizen just experienced agains Gin what Ichigo experienced against Ulquiorra. Sadly for Gin and Ulquiorra and they have that undertaker second breath there.
We interrupt Episode 8 of Aizen's "Did you really think" variety hour for our guest star, Ichigo!
Nice said😢🤧

308 was a payback episode.
Back in the soul society arc after Rukia was saved from execution. Aizen caught Ichigo's Bankai like it was nothing. back then Bankai was a big deal.
308 Ichigo did the same and received Aizen's sword as if nothing.
I love rewatching all the bleach just because it's so good I probably done every episode like nine times
I've been waiting for this moment!!!
Glad to see y'all liked Gin after the turn. Reminded me a little of KejSej and I was wondering if we were going to see some small tears XD

Aizen waxing his own pole while getting humbled again and again to keeo his ego from shattering is one of my favorite moments in Bleach
Literally the most savage thing Ichigo can do to Aizen, doing the exact same thing Aizen did back in early stage of the anime

GIN whole motivation was Revenge for what Aizen did that affected Ringiku that she had no idea Aizen was even involved in.
Good catch on saying Ichigo's bankai hilt not being what first comes to mind as it's a different culture. The symbol is deeply connected to Buddhism and the divine in Asian cultures.

One of my favorite captains.
Fun fact, Gin's Zanpakuto's ban kai translates roughly to God Killing Spear
I mean it pretty much is, in terms of lethality,
The fact that he can do that much dmg to Aizen when he is "God form" and almost killed him
Gin just had that level of power in terms of unique lethal power, its better than Soi Fon's, all he needs is 1 hit into a target and he is gone.
Just that only thing holding him back was just Complete Hypnosis making it hard to ensure a hit
If Gin was alive, he would very well fit into being the Stealth Force top man, stealth would need one to be sneaky like a snake to begin with
@@Vonmoonlight There is actually an interesting point to be made about the fact that Bankais don't repair after being broken and Gin's poison requires him to left a chip of his sword inside his enemy so doesn't that mean that if he uses it too much he would eventually run out of sword? Lmao maybe that's why Kamishuninoyari is a small blade
@@gabrieldossantos1116 since it turns to dust it can probably be retrieved. The blade insides are coated with poison, not that the dust is poison, so it shouldn't be permanently gone after use.

If you really think about it had Aizen not fuse with the Hogyoku he would've died by Gin's blade.
23:25 Director came to the same conclusion.
I don't think it's true. Coz Aizen was reckless only because he fused with Hogyoku. If he is not i bet he'll never let Gin touch his sword. He waited Gin's attack.
If Aizen had no fused with the Hogyoku he would not have lowered his guard to the point of allowing Gin to touch his sword. Its because of that fusion Gin had a chance in the first place. A gamble that Aizen won.
Gin only had that chance because of the hougyoku.

@22:29 Gin did all of this ish for a girl if you think about it just like Obito from Naruto. Killed lots of people for a chick that's not even dead. Also What was stolen from Rangiku was part of her soul
fragment.
As for Kaname he's out to topple the corrupt system that not only killed his best friend but does a lot of grimy shit behind the scenes. Both killed tons of people to reach their destination however Tosen had a more justifiable reason.
Obito killed thousands of people and was ready to kill even more just to be in a dreamlike world with a fake dream girl, Gin never killed anyone unless it was unavoidable and btw everything Aizen and Tosen did, they would have done it anyway even without Gin. Gin knew Aizen was dangerous and had to be taken down, and Ichigo was hi back up plan. As he said he was very irritated by seeing how all other captains tried to kill Aizen without knowing his weakness, they were wasting their lives.

GIN IS THE GOAT GOAT GOAT
i've always theorized thaat the reason why rangiku cant do bankai or hasn't obtained it is because aizen stole that piece of her soul
The symbol on inchigo’s bankai guard is called “manji” 卍
It have buddhism religious meaning in a lot of asian countries.
