Hey personally I do not want to share my groups/operations at least for the time being since I think it is really important for people to learn how TSM works before they just grab operations from offline. My custom price sources are also tailored strictly to how my realm is, etc. maybe it’ll happen in the future tho :)

I am a tsm noob (I literally only use it for price checking) but am starting to figure out how to properly use this beast of an addon. Your info about xmog is really enlightening as I've mostly ran for those rare items and came to the "conclusion" that it's not profitable... only to have someone who is more knowledgeable school me on how to properly do it! Awesome video! I'm just starting to get into transmog farming so this is what I've been looking for. So far I've just been running a few dungeons for 30 minutes to an hour collecting the BOE's and grouping them in TSM, heading back to Org, listing them and then either farming more or going back to current content.
Dude, this video alone should get you 1m subs... very thorough intro to transmog selling. I always thought it was too daunting to farm and sort through what to keep/sell/trash etc. Def going to check your channel after this to see your other content.

As a side note, when I logged into battle net after a 3 year hiatus I had a balance around $150 that was there solely from gold making in the past so I bought the epic version of shadowlands which I normally would never do for a game but gold making made it essentially free. So there is great value to the knowledge being shared here.

If you want to automate the posting at 18:45 you can do that easily in TSM
1. Create a group and throw all your transmog items in
2. Create 4 operations
2a; Sellrate >= 0.04
ifgte(dbregionsalerate, 0.04, 5, 0)
2b; Sellrate >= 0.03 & Gold >= 100g
ifgte(dbregionsalerate, 0.03, ifgte(dbregionmarketavg, 100, 5, 0),0)
2c; Sellrate >= 0.02 & Gold >= 500g
ifgte(dbregionsalerate, 0.02, ifgte(dbregionmarketavg, 500, 5, 0),0)
2d; Sellrate >= 0.01 & Gold >= 1000g
ifgte(dbregionsalerate, 0.01, ifgte(dbregionmarketavg, 1000, 5, 0),0)
3. You can create an optional operation to post all items above 5000g
ifgte(dbregionmarketavg, 5000, 5, 0)
Assign all the operations to your transmog group. All items that don't match wont be posted and can be banked/disenchanted/vendored.

I got really into transmog around shadowlands launch when I started playing again i bealive I’m around 5k items spread on 3 bank alts my biggest tip if you wanna make a lot of money and have the patience is to keep everything u get and post it even if it takes time with TSM
On a druid I generally dreamwalk to get out of an instance I'm running. Things like that can potentially speed up your instance runs when farming.
Yea! Monks and Druids and even death knights can port out easily!

I suggest the Scrap addon to auto delete items when you press a key, it deletes anything you set as junk. Helpful for transmogs.
U can sell it instead and make more profits, not much but as penguin stated, a little bit will add up.
@@nowurine Not everything is sellable, so you set things you will mark as "auto sell" and some things you mark as "auto destroy" then when you've been vendor but still got a bunch of unsellable items you hit that auto destroy keybind and it takes care of them :)
i know people tend to skip the junk, but since i have a mammoth i keep the junk and vendor it outside of the instance, it's just extra gold while you're rolling for your drops.
Same here... auto loot everything then sell with mount outside. Loot Appraiser also has a handy destroy trash (or junk) button in case you keep too much stuff in bags like I do and need bag space while still in the instance.

Hey there! Thanks for the invaluable guide. I am new to the business and was going to ask whether the level of your given farming toon matters or not in these dungeons.
All Old World dungeons will be capped at around lvl 35. I highly suggest having a character that is 40+ to run them smoothly. I ran dungeons with a level 46 for a very long time without any issues.
I have 45mil and yet I cant stop watching videos like this.

AtlasLoot only shows blues and epics for me, there is any option to see the greens? maybe is bc the greens are world drops idk

You mentioned that it would be best to have a "Profession Druid" for the chests? May I ask what you mean? I happened to find a few chests but could not open them, the games just tells me "it's locked" others chests in other transmog dungeon can be opened though without any visible difference between them..
Profession Druid as in a Druid with Inscription, Blacksmithing or jewelry crafting. This allows you to craft keys which you can use on the chests

nice vid but the strings are the most important part i would appreciate if you posted some for xmog i currently have 1k+ xmogs on ah and post one by one with blizz ui cause i got screwed in past posting something for a few silver when it should of been like 50k and lost
You can use the exact string that I had but instead of my custom source posting it with dbmarketavg :)
sadly have the time transmog won't sell for me :( also don't know if u have the food buff that once u keep something u get a speed bonus when u do farms like this Always use bear tartare for food there great :). also speed sets

First of all gz for the video, it's really good and complete. When watching the video I was wondering if with those methods you make more gold/hour than with the current skinning farms and all that stuff. Wondering because if you dont make more gold/hour and items take so long to sell, I don't understand how anyone would prefer farming transmogs
Transmog farming is a long term investment, you take a few hours to farm up stock and then you can just post it daily turning into Passive gold... personally I enjoy farming it on my downtime since It is relaxing and you get that fun spark of RNG whenever a worthy item drops. Transmog prices never really change, but materials do. Leather right now is crashing so profitable farms arent as good anymore yet transmog is staying constant. Of course this isnt for everyone but you gotta think of it as a long term investment which will make you passive gold in the next few weeks/months :)
@@Penguinr2gt Yes, don't worry, I understand and I think I would also enjoy it more than mat farming. I understand that transmog prices stay constant but now that leather prices crashed, is it more profitable per hour? (giving that you sold everything, of course) It's just that if I go do some farming I'd like to do the most efficient if possible, now that legendary market crashed and making gold in the ah is a lot harde for a noob like me :C
You can make anywhere between 30-80k per hour depending on the dungeon and luck

nice! i just started with a transmog yesterday so this is amazting video :D question, i can see, u re selling just greens and rares. I got some pieces of poor quality, like a white one and rsm showing me 9k price for that and sell rate 0.02, would u post even white items?
I do not sell white items
gear in white or gray is basically vendor trash, also far as the greens go they're mostly bought from Enchanters to DE for mats, therefore you'll be wanting to focus more on blues and purples.
Doesn't papal fez only drop in uldaman?
I've tried all of the addons basically atlas loot tsm didn't work for me. Do you know of any addons that just show drop rates of items? That would be so helpful for me to price things out because I have been going on wowhead and looking at droprates to price things out. I just downloaded atlas loot and it didn't even load up.
I personally dont know an addon that would do this, I personally just quickly look on Wowhead if I need something

This is by far the best explanation I've seen so far but I have one question. It is not possible to auction 1000 items + from just the 5 dungeons you mentions, so what other dungeons would you recommend and how many of them should I farm?Also what's the best Druid Spec from farming dungeons? I'm a beginner when it comes to gold making :)

what about demon hunter as a farmer u have the small dash and glide and the vengeful retreat for movement and the immo aura and eye beam for aoe
You can run with a demon hunter however druids are still superior to farming dungeons
I’m assuming you need to be max level on the toon for this? How does mob level scaling work with this? Do all mobs match your level? Or when you are max do mobs return to their normal dungeon level?
Mobs are around the 35 lvl (can’t remember the number off the top of my head) Any toons level 45 and above should be perfectly fine.

I had a question about something you said regarding the math of the sales rate. At about the 16:36 mark you state that if you post 1000 items with 0.01 sales rate that you can expect to have 1 to 10 sales every 100 days (assuming that the 0.01 actually means 0.001 to 0.01). However, if 0.01 actually means 1% (or one sale every 100 days) then shouldn't posting 1000 of them equate to approximately 1 to 10 sales per day?

Hey so technically Sale Rates are percentages in terms of TSM but I like to think of them as days. The technical term of Region Sale Rates is the % of total auctions of that item is sold per day. For example, if Soul Dust has a sell rate of 0.28 that means 28% of all Soul Dust Auctions are sold per day across the Region (For me US). If a Transmog piece has a 0.01 sell rate that means that 1% of all auctions (or less because it doesn't go below 0.01) sell per day across the region. Hopefully that clears some things up for you!

Appreciate the video, got my L&S. just wanted to ask why you choose such old dungeons, are newer instances not as good, too big or what? Also just wanted to say that if you need to describe things at such a beginner level ( and great that you do, more please) perhaps you need to explain BOE and why you don’t kill bosses (because they drop BOP). Just thought that might be a good addition to a ‘beginners’ video. Right I’m of to sell these 20 fez I’ve had in my bag fir ages, only kidding ;)
The old dungeons are easier to run and they are the ones that drop the transmog. The more current you go, the higher the level and the less desired gear you get
Are you sure about the Papal Fez in Zul'farak? Comments on WoWHead indicate Uldaman and only Uldaman. (11:02)

You have to set it up within TSM

What do you do after you have 1000+ transmog auction. I build up my transmog inventory and my TSM operation is set to 24h. I found out that I spend around 30 minutes (or more) reposting my transmog because Blizz slowed down auction house. Do you have other strategies (48h for example) or is that just how things are? Maybe to come more times a day and repost it or maybe have 2 auction house characters for transmog posting?
Really like the video. That video really got me into transmog farming and, with my speed set, I really enjoy this aspect of the game. :)
Hey so yes currently with the amount of items I have, I spent about 40 minutes posting a day and I post for 24 hrs. During this time I’m either in class or watching TH-cam videos to pass the time. If you don’t want to do it in one sitting you could always post until you hit the throttle then come back an hour later if you don’t have the time to do it in one sitting. It is completely preference and whatever fits your schedule.

Ok so after watching the video once through (might need to watch a 2nd time lol) when do you start to consider the deposit fees into the posting for lower value items? A couple of days ago I started to skip or sell the BOE's I have that were selling for less than 50g because the deposit fees were 1g up to 3g depending on the item. In my mind if I kept posting them even if its got a 0.3 rate like this item I reposted, someone put the price down to 40g and its deposit fee was 2g. It just seems like I would be better skipping or selling that item because I'll barely make anything off of it in the end due to the deposit fee. I could be wrong though.
Also when I was working on my TSM operation this morning, is there anyway to get it to price match the other items? I was testing my min/normal/max pricing on a high value piece, and a lower piece "Crystalvein Gauntlets of the Peerless". It should post for 100% of the minimum buyout that TSM sees which is 104g 77s but instead it posts for the normal price of 100% of Market Value which is 204g 44s because there is no other "Peerless" gauntlets for sale only "Feverflare" "Harmonious" & "Aurora". In this situation I would rather have it price match the other versions instead of trying to post at normal but I can't seem to figure it out. Sorry to bombard the comments this morning 😅
Completely depends on you, I know what items sell on my server and what exactly is worth keeping, but on your realm it could be completely different. You have to figure out the trend of your server and the best way to go about it.
When creating groups you want to select the Ignore Variations button on the top right so you dont have the different variations counting as different items. If you already have groups made, you may have to readd the items but I am not sure.

I had completely given up on ever selling transmog as all I knew was to always have thousands on ah for it to work... but I didn't know where to start and I had problems with tsm listing them for far too high prices... so will use your operations with dbmarket... I have found some guides on tsm, so will hopefully with time get better at operations, otherwise I am sure I can find some operations from other goldmakers somewhere... but for now dbmarket feels safe :)
I have always worried that if I keep reposting an item and it doesn't sell then someday when it finally sells it may sell for less than the gold have spent on posting fees... but looked it up and posting fee is quite small on transmog it seems. Well, now I know what to do in between farming SL mats and doing the SL content :D

Yea just comes down to personal preference. ATT is really nice but sometimes can be very overwhelming and lagging on some PCs

Yea I do not go by looks. I go by sell rate and price. Even if it’s the ugliest thing ever, there’s someone out there that might buy it - whether had a joke tmog or just to complete their collection

Besides like bracers, rings, neck..
Some of the pieces I do not deem them worth it. For example a 0.01 sale rate is about a 100 day turn over for a sale… I personally don’t see it worth it trying to sell a piece that sells that slow and it’s only worth 100g. You also have to keep in mind of your deposit costs. If you sell it for too long and the deposits are high, you end up losing money

That means it probably hasn’t been on the AH in a while... you can use The undermine journal to look at those items

You can definitely make loads of gold with transmog. The first month might be a little rough since you are just getting started with it; however, you definitely will see stable growth the more you farm. Getting that amount of gold per month is not unrealistic at all, it just might take a month to finally start making that much if that makes sense. It’s also very rng based (better items = more gold) and also very server based
Is it worth having two bank toons? One for xmog and one for all other items?
Yea! I actually have 3 - one for transmog, old world mats and shadowlands related items

Yea there’s a few of them! If you just look up BagNon in whatever addon browser you use you might be able to find some good ones!

Not really, normal is the standard way to farm these.

just a little idea, you are playing a druid why do you run out of zul farak? why dont you use dreamwalk? its way faster as running back like you do. just use dreamwalk, reset instance, dreamwalk again and your at the entrance
Running out of zf is faster than dreamwalking
Using dreamwalk you have iirc a 1 minute cd and it takes less time to run out.

@@Penguinr2gt Love the guide but I have to agree with klaus on this one....dreamwalking is way faster in this situation....the cooldown on dreamwalk is only applied after the return trip.

You want to run dungeons either in Druid form or with the heirloom mount because you cannot get dismounted on those
why is it important to build an inventory first?
Average sell rate of a transmog piece is 50 days.... the more items you have the better chance you have a daily sale. You want to focus on amount before stats when first starting out
lol My Trasmogs from ZF never sell.. I do enjoy ZF tho lol
