Great walk-thru. I will make note of this company too in case I need later. Your hands can't thank you enough for being inside for this kinda job. Gas on the hands at these temps we have now and the sting goes right to the bone.
Tonanyone that may have a gas line leaking on this car and you don't or can't do or afford the line it. My Saturn ion gas line started leaking I took a small pipe cutter the kind you tighten on the line then spin it then tighten and so on until the lines cut. But I cut our the bad spot used rubber fuel line about a 4 or 5 inch piece put it on both ends and used clamps to tighten it down it's been working fine for 3 years. Just becareful cutting the line as you might spring a leak some where else but other than that it's worked fine for me didn't cost me a nickel because I had the peace or rubber fuel line and the two clamps but its worked for 3 us years and going strong. Thanks hope I helped someone because iv been there done that. Good luck
Slightly bigger than the cavalier it replaced for us. Nothing fancy but I like cheap. Cobalt we have is close to the same as the Saturn. Same fuel line. Same issue. Wish the cavalier was still being made. That little car was built much better.
@@Oldsmob455 yes you guys give the lines to go kit 5 out of 5 stars. But how long did it take to replace the lines? And I'm assuming you did both lines as well? Thanks inadvabce for the reply.
@@Oldsmob455 well I'll tell you one thing iv got the 05 two door with the suicide back doors and its a stylish little car and with the manual transmission it's a fun snappy little car to drive. And stylish or as stylish as a small Chevy could be. TRUTH look it up the two doors are stylish
Where did you say you got that kit? I've played it over a few times and I can't make it out I think you said lines to go or something lol can't make it out. Mine just sprung a leak and I checked a few places and the line kits I found are almost $300
@@Oldsmob455 funny thing after I sent that comment it popped up on an ad in TH-cam lol found the kit I need. Thank you very much for your video because I probably would have never found the kit cheap otherwise.
I used rubber fuel lines cut the bad spot out and put the rubber fuel hose over the both ends and used clamps to clamp yhem down and it's worked so far. Just becarful cutting the line as you might spring a leak in another spot. So I used a little spin around cutter I don't know what it's actually called but you clamp it down the spin it around then tighten up then spin around and so on until it's cut through. Maybe a pipe cutter but I'm not sure but you get the point usevone of those or be carefully cutting it. Good luck

This video was very informative! Thanks for recording and putting it up!
I got that same car and I feel attacked by you calling it a hoopty. Lol great video
It's probably the cheapest pos I ever owned. I got my moneys worth out of it but get no style points for driving it. I hate to be seen in it.

@@MikeSmith-cn6ub If you say so
The nonchalant torch bit had me rolling. lmao.
What fitting goes into the single outlet from the fuel filter?
You wouldn't happen to have the link for the website so I make sure I get the right lines I got the same problem
How much time did it take to install the fuel lines?
On a lift, it was probably about 2 to 3 hours.

@@rbar1309 Was it "Lines to go"?
@@rbar1309 how much was it??? And what site did you get it??
I have a 07 ion 3 What size is that shark bite and can you give me the OD and ID of the nylon line for the FUEL and vent line
I have no clue what size that stuff is. It came in the kit.
Can you use break lines as the same diameter of the fuel line to change this out? It is much cheaper and I need cheap at the moment..

Do you think you might have another AMC project down the road sometime
Not done on the Javelin so more to come at some point there. Probably going to install a rev limiter in it in spring. I love AMC.
Can you send me a link
