I believe that the Holy Spirit leads us in God’s truth (just as we are told in the Bible), and then He leads us to other true children of God who were taught the same truths so that we can then know with certainty that God is with us and is in charge of everything we are learning. With all respect this pastor deserves... I do not believe all his arguments. I realized most Christians are afraid even to have some doubts about hell. I believed this for more than 30 years of my life, but not anymore. If we are honest with ourselves, we must admit that the Bible doesn't talk about hell clearly, in other words...The word "Hell" is actually NOT in the Bible on the original text. That is not the only reason why I don't believe, but a lot of other very solid arguments against it, that I will not be able to write them here. Do not be afraid to find the truth of the real character of God. He doesn't need to be cruel to be just.

I'm not sure that the original question was adequately answered. The Old Testament doesn't appear to speak of or place emphasis on what we know as Hell from the new Testament. The talk early on in the piece claims that the OT refers to torment and eternal suffering without giving specific unambiguous references. It was a genuine question and I don't think it really helps to answer it with New Testament passages because at the time of Jesus people only had the Old Testament. So I am thinking that for the answer to truly satisfy the question it really needs to be based purely on the OT. Did people think about Hell in the way they did because of what they learned from the Old Testament or did they assimilate some of the Greek or other culture? This is probably another way of asking the same sort of question.
@@jamesmccluskey8055 Luke 16 can be a parable if you want it to be but the fact remains that Jesus described a situation where after death one person was in torments and one person was in paradise/comfort and the one in torments could see, feel, hear, thirst and even think remember things and people from his life in the flesh. He had a consciousness about his present reality. Are you implying Jesus made up a place that didn’t exist and lied about that place while using Abraham in the story? Are you implying Jesus is misleading and deceiving believers with this parable by telling them about a place of torment after death that people can actually go to? Are you calling Jesus a liar?

Hell, or Hades/Sheol, as we know it today is like a holding cell for the lost after death. During the Great White Throne judgement of Jesus, they will all be taken out of there to stand for their judgement from King Jesus. During that time, that’s when death and hell will be thrown into the lake. For the lost though, the judgement will determine what their part in the lake of fire will be forever more.

JESUS second return to earth, the dead bodies in CHRIST shall rise first and the soul will be put back into their bodies and will get immortal, incorruptible bodies, then the believers that are still alive, will then be taken back to heaven and will also receive immortal, incorruptible bodies. The dead bodies of the non believers will also rise and their souls that have died the first death, will be put back in their bodies and will be judged before OUR LORD GOD. Great message I subscribed! “eternal fire” (Matthew 25:41), “unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12), “shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2), a place where “the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44-49), a place of “torment” and “fire” (Luke 16:23-24), “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place where “the smoke of torment rises forever and ever” (Revelation 14:10-11), and a “lake of burning sulfur” where the wicked are “tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).
eternal/everlasting should be translated age-long. My opinion means nothing! :) Check out the use of the Greek word aionios for yourself. Many folks shy away from this word study.....
Not much context here which tends to be a major problem for Christians. For example you list Revelation 20:10 and then even quote from it very selectively. Who does it say is tormented day and night? Does it say sinners? No, it says Satan, The Beast and The False Prophet. Please understand that I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying you're providing scripture a bit carelessly. Scripture seems to point at us being destroyed by fire and not us being given eternal life in order that we may be torture by God forever. I think we read far too much Greek mythology into scripture.

PrintOfLife I'm pretty sure that the transfiguration was actually a shared vision, still very divine, but I think they were visions of Moses and Elijah. Maybe not though, you've kind inspired me to do some more research. But I guess I'm not totally against the idea that you can call up the dead. But I do know that God tells you not to be a medium or use familiar spirits, so whether you can or cant, you shouldn't.

I have a very difficult time believing that there is anything that a person, who is smaller than a speck of dust to do anything in our short 30, 50, 80, years of life that could offend Almighty God so much that He would burn people for eternity, forever and ever. Couldn't these be symbolic?

The lake of fire you reference is reserved for the angels that rebelled and who left their heavenly domain to intermingle. If one willingly, knowingly rejects God and or His sovereignty, I do believe it a possibility.

I've heard it said that it is sheol or the grave, that the second death is eternal destruction or nothingness. That's why it seems whatever offenses one does in this lifetime without repentance warrants destruction instead of burning forever, is that the correct understanding?

I I am struck as much as a man can be that we are in the end of days. We are on the verge of the grand rapture. Every Christian needs to be telling their family members friends that without the blood of Jesus Christ they are going to spend eternity in the fiery pit. Pray before you talk to them pray specifically for the person you're going to talk to beg God's mercies that he will allow the person to hear you and not have Satan's demons voices obstructing the message. You won't even *_have_* an eternity - of any sort, anywhere - unless God chooses to give you the gift of eternal life!!! Otherwise, you'll perish in death. Salvation is about receiving the gift of eternal life. The "immortal soul" that floats out of you when you die is a lie passed down from pagan religion. *_If we had immortal souls, God would not need to give us eternal life._* And remember, God put the first couple out of the Garden so they would NOT eat of the tree of life and so live forever. We DO NOT have immortal souls. Take away the "immortal soul" error and there is no longer need to explain _where_ you spend eternity. You won't even _have_ an eternity unless you receive the gift of eternal life.

The unsaved souls are NOT tormented forever and ever. Eventually, they are cast into the everlasting lake of fire where they die the 2nd death. The saved have everlasting life. The unsaved perish.

The word' hell' is nowhere found in the scripture. The WORD in the scripture is :" Gehenna". Gehenna was the Jerusalem rubbish dump. In Yahshua's day they had perfect understanding of what Yahshua was saying. The word for 'Spirit' in the Bible is the same as 'Breath' so when the Bible says the spirit returns unto God who gave it, it simply means that the man has stopped breathing (died) until God elects to restore the Breath(ing) or 'Life' to the body.

Yes, but Isaiah 66:24 is still speaking about eternal torment, because there will be a resurrection of the damned. A resurrection means it is physical. If their "worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched" it must mean that the body, that is resurrected into a state of corruption, will continue in its state forever. Otherwise, once the body is consumed, the worms that eat it and the fire that burns it would die also.

Hi, I have appreciated your teaching over many videos, however I am amazed that a Bible scholar could blindly accept the word 'external' as an accurate translation of the word ôlām or the Greek word aion or it's derivatives. These words refer to an 'age' or length of time. Would you please offer an accurate teaching on this, rather than repeating a poor english translation. Also, would you please show why you believe Gehenna and the Second Death/Lake of Fire are referring to the same thing. They are referred to quite separately in scripture. Finally, the word 'hell' is such a poor word choice to translate the many words used in the old and new testament. 'Hell' comes from old Norse / German / English mythology and is not a catch-all word suitable for the various terms that the bible uses, such as Sheol, hades, Tartarus, lake of fire, etc. I am not a Hebrew or Greek scholar however even I can see that 'hell' as it is popularly perceived is incredibly misleading. Can we please just stick to the original words and their meanings of the Hebrew and Greek! Thank you for addressing this at some point.
Concerning Hell, have you not read in the Revelation its captives are released before it is thrown in the lake of fire and brimstone. Hell is also a living thing like the earth. Therefore it is eternal because its spirit is eternal...the good news is that Jesus claims all the captives and free them and then Hell is thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone along with the beast, and his prophet. So what does it mean for those who have fallen short of the laws? After judgment day there will be only three kingdoms of Light which is compared in glory by Paul to be like the Sun, Moon and Stars....and then there is another place mentioned by Jesus, Enoch and Jude as the OUTER DARKNESS.

Our Spirit started as a Seed of the Spirit of Father in heaven. Since the seed is Eternal so is our Spirit that grew from it. But our body has a beginning so it can die. But at resurrection it is sealed and maintained by our spirit forever. In the book of Revelation John reveals that Hell (after it is made empty), with the beast and his prophet are thrown in the lake of fire and brimstone. That is because after judgment day there are only three kingdoms of lights compared by Paul as the glory of the sun and the moon and the stars. Then there is the OUTER DARKNESS mentioned by Jesus. You are twisting and not interpreting the scriptures correctly! Intelligence is NO match for The Holy Spirit when it comes to interpreting scripture. I believe it has to do with much ongoing discussions in Bible circles as regards the dividing of the Bible into chapters and verses, whether it ultimately is also "inspired" or merely a matter of human opinion. Two decades ago my former pastor once told us that ONLY humans had a part in that event, and that saying that it was inspired would be tantamount to being "hyper-electionist". It was funny because I had thought that being in his church was a "leading" from God, which would make me "hyper-electionist" and yet he always stresses the fact that there is no such thing as "coincidence" nor "accidental" in our lives as born again Christians. Clearly here, I can only deduce that not many people, including my former pastor has a clear and 100% grasp of the meaning of God's sovereignty over man because I think it partly has to do with the difficulty of explaining the believer's sufferings, tribulations and afflictions in the same context as in the Book of Job, raising questions as to why we suffer afflictions and reconciling it to the belief that God sends them to us, in line with Job saying that even as God sends blessings, He can also send evil to come upon us. Back to the topic of chapters and verses and the Bible canon, as for me, I've always believed that though we may not call it part of Divine inspiration, nevertheless, it is God who designed the Bible canon of chapters, books and verses falling in their rightful places BECAUSE I believe that God is in full control, the omnipotent, omnisient and all powerful God.

The most recent Hebrew OT published by the Jewish Publication Society does not contain the world hell...and it should not as the King James translators translated the word Sheol, the somber place where the Ancients believed that the Fathers slept, as the pit, the grave, and hell....did they flip a coin. The Lake of Fire is the Second Death, the death of death, and not hell...right there in the Book. In the King James Bible, the favorite of hell and damnation preachers and fundamentalists, tells us in Revelation 20 : `14 that death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire...then, the question remains, why would the Lord cast a burning hell into a burning Lake....He would not and the correct word there is Hades, the abode of disembodied spirits, and not hell. Also, in the KJV, we find Jonah in hell in Jonah 2 ; 2 when the Lord Himself told us that he was in the belly of a big fish....the correct word there is Sheol and not hell. There is no hell except between the ears of those at the blue level of tribal thinking That see hell behind every blade of grass and mention of heat or fire. Why is the word hell not found in any literal translation, and there are several. I'm convinced this guy is a bit off as in way off and a lot of this is his opinion. Hell does not have a direct line of site in the sky which is where Heaven is. Nowhere in the Bible, actually. Hell/Sheol/Hades will eventually be thrown into the Lake of Fire along with Death, which should plainly show that the Lake is metaphorical of something else--some say the eternal burning love of God.
If hundreds of trillions of years of 24/7 torture await the lost, why didn't God threaten Cain with that? Or the countless other serious transgressors in the old testament? You need to go back and read your Bible, I figured as much. “eternal fire” (Matthew 25:41), “unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12), “shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2), a place where “the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44-49), a place of “torment” and “fire” (Luke 16:23-24), “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place where “the smoke of torment rises forever and ever” (Revelation 14:10-11), and a “lake of burning sulfur” where the wicked are “tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).

Hell is a real, literal place that those who reject Christ will spend eternity. If your body burns up, what about your eternal spirit? You are created in God's image. He is eternal so we are eternal.
God alone has immortality (1 Timothy 6:16). The wages of sin is death, But we can have eternal life in Christ (Romans 6:23). The concept of an eternally existing soul comes out of Greek philosophy.
Rich man and Lazarus is a parable!! The details are not meant to be taken literally. The message is many who are last will become first and vice versa, i.e. Christ’s kingdom does not look like kingdoms of this world. Hell is eternal, but will the things sent there remain eternal? Doesn't this mean, Hell has been burning for so long, and will burn for so long that it destroys anything thrown into it?
Anytime you see a preacher on a whiteboard drawing a bunch of diagrams you can almost bet it’s a load of junk. Hades and Hell are never taught in the NT. Hades was a Greek transliteration of Sheol, which is something different than the traditional Jewish Sheol. Valley of Hinnom was transliterated Gehenna to Hell. Hell is nothing more than a Nordic pagan God. Also note that Paul writes many letters to Gentiles in the scriptures, not once is there talk of an everlasting eternal torment for non believers. I grew up believing an eternal everlasting Hell is taught in the Scriptures, and the more I study the historicity of the NT and the cultural context of 1st century Jews the less convinced I am. Man is mortal, flesh, bones, ultimately dust. This is part of the awesomeness and beauty of the resurrection. We were doomed to death and return to the nothing we came from. It’s unclear whether Peter is referencing Tartarus because he believed in it or because he was using it as an analogy his audience would have understood - I.e. God is holding back evil forces. I'm commenting before I watch. I believe the seventh day Adventist have this covered. Hells flames are an eternal reminder of what rejection of God causes, but the second death is exactly that. Believing God would torture people through eternity is just so evil that I can't believe it. God would be an evil being to allow that. This is the most twisted doctrine by Satan that keeps people from belief in God. I have great trouble understanding how a Christian can actually believe this about our heavenly Father. "A slave belongs to his master forever." Will a slave belong to an earthly master in heaven? No. Forever is a lifetime. Thus the second death.

I just cannot believe that God would punish people for eternity. It seems so unnecessary. I understand that evil criminals like child molesters or murderers must be judged and punished, but I just can't believe God would do this. Being dead, never having that 2nd chance for redemption would be punishment enough.

This man got it wrong when it comes to baptism. The Greek word “bapto” is not the Greek word that is translated in English as baptize. Everywhere you see the words baptize, baptized, or baptism, they do not come from the Greek word bapto. They come from different Greek words that all mean to wash, not dip. And to wash or cleanse is exactly what the Bible says The Holy Spirit, and the blood of Christ does when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Check it out a Strongs concordance that uses the “received text” Greek manuscripts as its source. All other Greek manuscripts are very corrupt.

Death is an eternal punishment since death is permanent. Like if you commit murder and you are put to death on this earth that is a form of eternal punishment you can't come back to earth because you're dead. He'll is same thing. Isaiah 66:24 is referring to the dead bodies that will be decaying because of the fire that was brought down on them, this fire is unquenchable because it was directed by the hand of the most high, and the worms will not die because they will be feeding on the dead bodies. With all respect this pastor deserves... I do not believe all his arguments. I realized most Christians are afraid even to have some doubts about hell. I believed this for more than 30 years of my life, but not anymore. If we are honest with ourselves, we must admit that the Bible doesn't talk about hell clearly, in other words...The word "Hell" is actually NOT in the Bible on the original text. That is not the only reason why I don't believe, but a lot of other very solid arguments against it, that I will not be able to write them here. Do not be afraid to find the truth of the real character of God. He doesn't need to be cruel to be just.

I'm not sure that the original question was adequately answered. The Old Testament doesn't appear to speak of or place emphasis on what we know as Hell from the new Testament. The talk early on in the piece claims that the OT refers to torment and eternal suffering without giving specific unambiguous references. It was a genuine question and I don't think it really helps to answer it with New Testament passages because at the time of Jesus people only had the Old Testament. So I am thinking that for the answer to truly satisfy the question it really needs to be based purely on the OT. Did people think about Hell in the way they did because of what they learned from the Old Testament or did they assimilate some of the Greek or other culture? This is probably another way of asking the same sort of question.

Hell, or Hades/Sheol, as we know it today is like a holding cell for the lost after death. During the Great White Throne judgement of Jesus, they will all be taken out of there to stand for their judgement from King Jesus. During that time, that’s when death and hell will be thrown into the lake. For the lost though, the judgement will determine what their part in the lake of fire will be forever more.

“eternal fire” (Matthew 25:41), “unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12), “shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2), a place where “the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44-49), a place of “torment” and “fire” (Luke 16:23-24), “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place where “the smoke of torment rises forever and ever” (Revelation 14:10-11), and a “lake of burning sulfur” where the wicked are “tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).
eternal/everlasting should be translated age-long. My opinion means nothing! :) Check out the use of the Greek word aionios for yourself. Many folks shy away from this word study.....
Not much context here which tends to be a major problem for Christians. For example you list Revelation 20:10 and then even quote from it very selectively. Who does it say is tormented day and night? Does it say sinners? No, it says Satan, The Beast and The False Prophet. Please understand that I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying you're providing scripture a bit carelessly. Scripture seems to point at us being destroyed by fire and not us being given eternal life in order that we may be torture by God forever. I think we read far too much Greek mythology into scripture.

I I am struck as much as a man can be that we are in the end of days. We are on the verge of the grand rapture. Every Christian needs to be telling their family members friends that without the blood of Jesus Christ they are going to spend eternity in the fiery pit. Pray before you talk to them pray specifically for the person you're going to talk to beg God's mercies that he will allow the person to hear you and not have Satan's demons voices obstructing the message. They remained in the "little white hole" at the center of Sheol(the infinite black hole) and were there until Christ took them back to heaven(the infinite mountain of God which scientifically is an infinite white hole).
"Hell" appears 23 times in the KJV New Testament. It comes from these three different Greek words, each of which has a different meaning:
• ᾅδης "hades" 10 times: the grave, the pit, the place of the dead
• γέεννα "gehenna" 12 times: the dump on the south side of Jerusalem in Jesus' time
• ταρταρόω "tartaroo" one time (2 Peter 2:4): a verb, to throw into the deepest pit
Gehenna referred to the dump on the south side of Jerusalem, where constant fire and maggots destroyed the refuse and bodies thrown in. Jesus likened the fate of the unsaved to being thrown into the gehenna dump, into *"gehenna fire":* they would be permanently destroyed.
The unsaved will perish, will be destroyed just as completely as trash thrown into the gehenna dump was destroyed. The *"lake of fire"* in Revelation is analogous to that dump; those thrown into the *"lake of fire"* perish in death, specifically the *"second death"* after resurrection for judgment:

They will perish; they will be destroyed. *"Perish"* and *"destroy"* in the following verses are from the Greek word ἀπόλλυμι "apollymi" which means to fully destroy. Eternal life is a gift from God. We do not have immortal souls that can/will be tormented forever. Unless we receive the gift of eternal life, we'll perish in death:

Jesus spoke of *"everlasting punishment"* in Matthew 25:46:
*"And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal"* (Matthew 25:46). The destruction of the wicked is "everlasting" in the sense that it is permanent: it is final, it stands forever and can not be retracted, similar to the execution of a criminal. It is not _perpetual,_ ongoing, active punishing.
The apostle Paul wrote, *"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"* (Romans 6:23). Yes, the wages of sin is death, not eternal life in some sort of burning hellfire. You either receive eternal life as a gift from God, or you perish: you cease to exist because you did not receive eternal life.
Salvation is not about *_where_* you'll spend eternity. You won't even *_have_* an eternity - of any sort, anywhere - unless God chooses to give you the gift of eternal life!!! Otherwise, you'll perish in death. Salvation is about receiving the gift of eternal life.
The "immortal soul" that floats out of you when you die is a lie passed down from pagan religion. *_If we had immortal souls, God would not need to give us eternal life._* And remember, God put the first couple out of the Garden so they would NOT eat of the tree of life and so live forever. We DO NOT have immortal souls.
Take away the "immortal soul" error and there is no longer need to explain _where_ you spend eternity. You won't even _have_ an eternity unless you receive the gift of eternal life.

The word for 'Spirit' in the Bible is the same as 'Breath' so when the Bible says the spirit returns unto God who gave it, it simply means that the man has stopped breathing (died) until God elects to restore the Breath(ing) or 'Life' to the body.

Yes, but Isaiah 66:24 is still speaking about eternal torment, because there will be a resurrection of the damned. A resurrection means it is physical. If their "worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched" it must mean that the body, that is resurrected into a state of corruption, will continue in its state forever. Otherwise, once the body is consumed, the worms that eat it and the fire that burns it would die also.

Hi, I have appreciated your teaching over many videos, however I am amazed that a Bible scholar could blindly accept the word 'external' as an accurate translation of the word ôlām or the Greek word aion or it's derivatives. These words refer to an 'age' or length of time. Would you please offer an accurate teaching on this, rather than repeating a poor english translation. Also, would you please show why you believe Gehenna and the Second Death/Lake of Fire are referring to the same thing. They are referred to quite separately in scripture. Finally, the word 'hell' is such a poor word choice to translate the many words used in the old and new testament. 'Hell' comes from old Norse / German / English mythology and is not a catch-all word suitable for the various terms that the bible uses, such as Sheol, hades, Tartarus, lake of fire, etc. I am not a Hebrew or Greek scholar however even I can see that 'hell' as it is popularly perceived is incredibly misleading. Can we please just stick to the original words and their meanings of the Hebrew and Greek! Thank you for addressing this at some point.

Concerning Hell, have you not read in the Revelation its captives are released before it is thrown in the lake of fire and brimstone. Hell is also a living thing like the earth. Therefore it is eternal because its spirit is eternal...the good news is that Jesus claims all the captives and free them and then Hell is thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone along with the beast, and his prophet. So what does it mean for those who have fallen short of the laws? After judgment day there will be only three kingdoms of Light which is compared in glory by Paul to be like the Sun, Moon and Stars....and then there is another place mentioned by Jesus, Enoch and Jude as the OUTER DARKNESS.

The LAST verse of Isaiah describes dead bodies. It does not describe living souls in torment.

But at resurrection it is sealed and maintained by our spirit forever. In the book of Revelation John reveals that Hell (after it is made empty), with the beast and his prophet are thrown in the lake of fire and brimstone. That is because after judgment day there are only three kingdoms of lights compared by Paul as the glory of the sun and the moon and the stars. Then there is the OUTER DARKNESS mentioned by Jesus. I believe it has to do with much ongoing discussions in Bible circles as regards the dividing of the Bible into chapters and verses, whether it ultimately is also "inspired" or merely a matter of human opinion. Two decades ago my former pastor once told us that ONLY humans had a part in that event, and that saying that it was inspired would be tantamount to being "hyper-electionist". It was funny because I had thought that being in his church was a "leading" from God, which would make me "hyper-electionist" and yet he always stresses the fact that there is no such thing as "coincidence" nor "accidental" in our lives as born again Christians. Clearly here, I can only deduce that not many people, including my former pastor has a clear and 100% grasp of the meaning of God's sovereignty over man because I think it partly has to do with the difficulty of explaining the believer's sufferings, tribulations and afflictions in the same context as in the Book of Job, raising questions as to why we suffer afflictions and reconciling it to the belief that God sends them to us, in line with Job saying that even as God sends blessings, He can also send evil to come upon us.
Back to the topic of chapters and verses and the Bible canon, as for me, I've always believed that though we may not call it part of Divine inspiration, nevertheless, it is God who designed the Bible canon of chapters, books and verses falling in their rightful places BECAUSE I believe that God is in full control, the omnipotent, omnisient and all powerful God.

I'm convinced this guy is a bit off as in way off and a lot of this is his opinion. Hell does not have a direct line of site in the sky which is where Heaven is. Hell is a real, literal place that those who reject Christ will spend eternity. If your body burns up, what about your eternal spirit? You are created in God's image. He is eternal so we are eternal.

Anytime you see a preacher on a whiteboard drawing a bunch of diagrams you can almost bet it’s a load of junk. Hades and Hell are never taught in the NT. Hades was a Greek transliteration of Sheol, which is something different than the traditional Jewish Sheol. Valley of Hinnom was transliterated Gehenna to Hell. Hell is nothing more than a Nordic pagan God. Also note that Paul writes many letters to Gentiles in the scriptures, not once is there talk of an everlasting eternal torment for non believers. I grew up believing an eternal everlasting Hell is taught in the Scriptures, and the more I study the historicity of the NT and the cultural context of 1st century Jews the less convinced I am.
Man is mortal, flesh, bones, ultimately dust. This is part of the awesomeness and beauty of the resurrection. We were doomed to death and return to the nothing we came from. I'm commenting before I watch. I believe the seventh day Adventist have this covered. Hells flames are an eternal reminder of what rejection of God causes, but the second death is exactly that. Believing God would torture people through eternity is just so evil that I can't believe it. God would be an evil being to allow that. I just cannot believe that God would punish people for eternity. It seems so unnecessary. I understand that evil criminals like child molesters or murderers must be judged and punished, but I just can't believe God would do this. Being dead, never having that 2nd chance for redemption would be punishment enough.

If I were you, I’d be cared believing in a religion that was started by a woman who changed God’s word and lied in her “interpretation” of that word. That was even confirmed by the people in her camp! Jesus wasn’t a fan of religion, get your faith out of men and religion and focus on your relationship with Jesus Christ. Everywhere you see the words baptize, baptized, or baptism, they do not come from the Greek word bapto. They come from different Greek words that all mean to wash, not dip. Once again you have another teacher who is taking the scriptures out of context. Isaiah 66:24 is referring to the dead bodies that will be decaying because of the fire that was brought down on them, this fire is unquenchable because it was directed by the hand of the most high, and the worms will not die because they will be feeding on the dead bodies. Also you can't just take one scripture out to prove something that isn't biblical. I could give many different scriptures that prove that when a human dies their soul/nephesh dies.

one foolish thought you send yourself to eternal punishment you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy- how could an all loving God do such a thing? How can a lying, thieving, murdering, drunk, cannibal, Republican for his whole life, sincerely repent and accept Jesus Christ as his/her Savior as his/her last words on his/her death bead enter eternal joy. God, the Perfect judge, will never have an appeal from those who don't want Him- they will know they are exactly where they deserve to be.
Wow, I am glad you’re not the judge of anyone. God is first and foremost HOLY. He is also just and righteous. He will accept anyone who genuinely comes to Him and repents. He is full of love and mercy but He will always be just. If anyone rejects His Son, Jesus Christ, to their last breath, they will burn forever in God’s wrath. Please, read a Bible after asking Him to lead and guide you through it. We must study His word so that we understand Him and the way things are.
