What a STUNNER😍 I love care videos! It's super helpful to hear how different people in different environments are caring for specific plants. Thanks! I just acquired an Anthurium Clarinervium which, apparently, is also a much easier "rare" plant😬 So I guess we'll see!🤞🤞 It'll be my first anthurium!
I’m also in love with this plant what a very young one and it’s kind of struggling a little bit but I think I’m gonna repot it use more of an area mix with some Spackman moss And give it a shot everyone is telling me that I need to get humidifiers and all this other good stuff but your little video gave me some hope thanks
With verrucosums needing so much water in winter ... I made the same experience and read up on it a little: They just grow fastest in winter (for me a new leaf every few weeks on each stem) and thus need so much water (and possibly fertilizer) in winter
Exactly my experience. Got terrified I killed it one time, when it started to droop really badly, got a few brown edges on some leaves that time. I don't wait for mine to dry out before watering now. I think mine drinks about 2-3 times as much as any other plant, taking size into account.
Oh wow I needed this. I got mine not even 2 weeks ago, and since it's winter and in a cold room, I haven't watered it. And it looks so sad. I thought it was the cold, so literally just moved it to a slightly warmer room. But I will give it a drink now too lol. I've lost 3 leaves already, just from the lightest touch 😭
Your plant looks gorgeous! I bought a half price one the other day for £30 🐸 it’s a bit leggy and the leaves are the size of your smaller ones. Do you have any tips for growing bigger leaves? Most of my plant is trailing in a wiggle but I might stake part of it. Love your videos! ❤️
Hello! YT never told me I had a comment, sorry for the late reply. Advice would be support. I don’t give my plants enough but moss poles or wooden planks make good supports
my verrucosum is the only plant that I actually let sit in water, i will be getting a self watering pot for it as soon as it will grow a wee bit bigger. It loves the wet soil for some reason, i dont even need high humidity, in summer i have less than 40% and it has still beautiful leaves and is growing. I dont understand why and how its possible but overwatering this idiot works :-D
It’s so bizarre isn’t it! Mine is still a thirsty thirsty plant! It goes against all the care tips haha but it’s very clear when it needs a water so I just give it what it wants 😂🤗
Hello! Thank you for the video! I got a small propogation of philodendron verrucosum in September and put it in about as big of a pot as yours in a mix of perlite, regular soil and leca. It was doing sort of fine and it started to put out a new leaf like 2 months ago which was just about to grow big but now it died? Idk what I did wrong. Maybe it´s the air circulation or something but I feel like I´m just not doing well with it. It is getting indirect light and I put the humidifier on every day for a few hours up to 60%. I do also water it quite a lot like you said in the beginning it droops every 4 days and I´m afraid it will root rot. I just don´t know why it´s not doing well :(
I’m so sorry I didn’t see this until now. My TH-cam comments on old videos don’t always come through as notifications. I hope the plant has perked up a bit now? What substrate is it in now? I find mine in light airy soil works best. However I’m a bit nervous about using leca because I’ve not had the best experience with it on one plant.
@@AbiBloomUK Oh don’t worry about it! Thank you for your answer! :) I realised that it had gotten root rot from being in too big of a pot. I thought it had grown a lot more roots so when I took it out and checked it has such tiny roots. It had already gotten root rot so I cut off those parts and put it in water. It did grow a tiny new leaf inside the brown part of the old dead leaf which I cut off cause I didn’t know there was a new leaf in there and I was heartbroken. And now it has completely rotted and I don’t think there is any hope left unfortunately. I didn’t have the best of luck with this one but now I have learnt and can only do better in the future! I will still try to get a new verrucosum cause I absolutely love them! :)
@@AbiBloomUK I have mine I’ve owned for about a month now leaves look just OK nothing spectacular it’s starting to try to push new growth but it’s at a standstill it’s in a little cup with training holes in Moss i’m re-thinking of repotting tomorrow I doubt you’ll be able to respond I’m going to use an aerie mix with some bark perlite and some soil cross my fingers I paid US$80 for this little ☝️

Ohhh I am so jealous! Enjoy it and fingers crossed you find it easy too as there’s nothing better than a rare plant being easy to look after 👏🏼
Welcome back, I hope you are recuperating well.
Your Verrucosum is beautiful and looks lovely in that adorable pot.
💚
Thank you Sherry 👏🏼 💛
I’m in love with this plant ❤️💚
It’s so beautiful isn’t it. I can’t believe I wasn’t obsessed with it before I received it. It’s stunning 🤩

You’ve given me the courage to get one. Thank you so much for your positivity. 💚🌿.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you. It's the first really helpful video I've found. 👍🙏
Aw I’m so pleased! 🙏🏼

Amazing! Mine still is so thirsty! Since I moved it to our new house 2 weeks ago it’s been watered 4 times and it’s not exactly warm 👀🤷🏽♀️
Welcome back 👋🌿🌵

Exactly! Not many people have the same experience with these plants, which is why I was questioning it at first! It’s a thirty little thing 🤪

how did that go?
I can't wait for mine to look like yours 😍 thank you for the tips
You’re welcome Camille 💛
