Love X Japan and OMG, you totally nailed this! PelleK you are all kinds of awesome! It would be so great if more Western metal bands did covers of J-metal songs.
The added keyboards and strings definitely bring a different atmosphere to this cover. I also like how towards the end they make it sound like the live versions of Kurenai.
UndeadSon If you search enough there are plenty of X Japan and Loudness covers made by western metal bands. Good sign that Japanese metal scene gets exposure since it's early existence.
I was surprised at first too, but you gotta thing, this band is from the UK and their singer Norwegian, if I remember correctly, so they probably thought it would be more interesting to use the Blue Blood version of the lyrics.
I do love this cover but I'm suprized the vocalist used the Blue Blood version of the lyrics and not the vanishing vision version (which was full english lyrics)
