Castrojeriz is a cool town to stay in. A couple of good albergues there and the town has a good vibe. That ferry boat on the canal to Fromista is cool and a different twist on the Frances and they'll stamp your passport, too.
@@hikewithjames True. I walked the Frances in November several years ago and so many of the albergues had already closed for the year and there were not too many pilgrims on the route. That certainly did change the vibe of the towns compared to summer months. Full albergues, full cafes and bars etc
