I spent a night in the same albergue in Palas de Rei: they actually locked us in for the evening when we didn't participate the common dinner! Very scary and unfriendly place, I must say. It's a shame, because it looks so nice 😢

Burgos and León in winter reach often -15º C and sometimes -20º C. Something many tourists are not used to when they think of the sunny beaches of Spain in summer 😎 Buen camino!

A couple of questions: 1) How difficult is it to upload TH-cam Videos on the Frances? 2) I see you have the Insta 360. I usually film with just my iPhone. I've been thinking about adding a 360. How hard is it to integrate iPhone videos and Insta 360 videos together to make a TH-cam video? 3) Do you think you'd bring the Insta360 again on another Camino?

I don't walk the last 100km anymore, it's to busy and commercialised , I find it better to bus from Sarria to Santiago and carry on to finesterre ( that's if you don't want to collect your credential) .

The bird was a red kite :) you can tell by the triangular tail and finger like wing tips, and the high pitched call.

Hi James, that big monument was for one of the Popes? But about a year ago some Engineers found that it was unsafe so eventually the monument was pulled down. Regards Chris from Sydney, Australia.
