I am about halfway done and wow this game really does show how horrific Valhalla was. I feel like I am playing 50% AC origins and 50% AC Unity. This game for me is 10/10. Highly recommend. As always, another smashing video from the man himself.

This game feels a lot smaller to me, but it feels a lot like the older ones and I love it. I say it’s smaller because I’ve played 15 hours and I’ve fully explored every territory and completed the story
It's a lot smaller for sure, but it's also a lot more hand crafted and it being scaled down keeps me more familiar with the areas and immerses me more @@rcqrd

What I really love is that that it's a lot harsher. Enemies don't carry levels, but their attacks are devastating and you don't just magically grow back your health. You have to eat or use the sparse elixirs to restore health. And when you're spotted enemies really gang up on you. I found myself in past ac games easily taking on several enemies at a time whereas in this one, if there's several on you, most times you have to either find a clever way to take the group out, or run to hide. There's much more of an emphasis on stealth. Fun and diverse ways to complete objectives. Instead of just finding an entrance or stealthing your way in there you can hire mercenaries to go in, or pay a merchant to get you in there or something. Item loot and coins are sparse. So you have to be tactful with what you upgrade and you're not constantly discarding your weapons. In ones like odyssey i don't think I ever found myself upgrading weapons because if I needed a better one, I could easily scavenge for or buy one. Having to blend in to the crowd or rip down wanted posters...having the entire village freak out when I'm wanted...just adds some refreshing incorporations of concepts that have been exercised the same in most AC or ubisoft titles. This feels much more like a stealth game, because for a while the games were turning into warrior simulator. The game certainly isn't perfection. But it's the first ubisoft game I've enjoyed playing in a while because too many of the mechanics have been copy paste for so long.
yeah it for sure seems like Ubisoft sat together and remembered its called Assassins creed and not slash people with weapon simulator. and finally put a proper Assassin's game together for the first time in years!
Mirage, despite it's flaws, feels like the Ezio Trilogy at times, and like Origins at times, it feels like Unity sometimes too, hmmm it also feels like Black Flag because of the blow dart, oh and also Syndicate because of the throwing knives. Oh wait, this is just a mix of all of the AC games. Love it!

I just finished the game, and I'm absolutely in love with it. i don't get why people are complaining about assassin focus, but its completely optional and you can still enjoy the game.

I wasn't ready for Mirage. Coming out of the other games the forced stealth has been such a challenge. I'm gonna have to do another playthrough to really appreciate this game. I feel like I've been hard on it too far just based on my lack of skills with it lol

@@itsstuddyYeah got the platinum at 5 in the morning 😂. Don’t know if you’re aware but you can actually get it platinumed twice if you use the cloud save feature. You just have to do a contract and kill somebody. Think the only trophies left were sitting on a bench, treasure enigma and open one of those chests with a merchant token.
Platinumed last night. Love the game. The blended trophy was the last one I got, because it didn't pop after 10 kills, but I eventually got to pop. Looking forward to the next RPG one, since I have the most fun with those games.
For the blade in the crowd trophy, you have to be blended in after the kill, and often when you do it in public the people your blended with get scared so you’re not blended anymore after you kill him
Glad to see you enjoyed this, wouldn't mind seeing Ubisoft take this engine to remake the 1st game. I also struggled with the blending trophies, I think it only counts a kill when it doesn't trigger combat. A couple tips I found was if you start the assassin sync kill while blended you can get multiple kills in one attempt and a decent farm spot is the prison court yard since the prisoners don't all scream and run when you do a kill. Hope that helps someone not have to get about 50 kills like I did to figure it out
AC Mirage is a god send for old AC fans like myself. I hope any future games follow in this one's footsteps Mirage's version of Ezio's Family is beautiful and made me tear up a bit Also Basim is one handsome street rat too
i really love this game, i also hold circle for a slide crouch then immediately get out of crouch to do some sort of custom assassination, it reminds of a unity type assassination
Ubisoft Bordeaux is probably my new favorite Ubisoft title. This game was amazing and gave me Damascus AC1 vibes, especially playing with the AC1 color filter and Altaïr outfit. Also when I did the blend kill trophy it glitched for me and only worked 1 in 10 times I feel like.
Glad you enjoyed it too! And you are so right, this feels like such a relief after the most tedious AC Valhalla platinum trophy. And damn man you only needed 2 days hahaha. The fastest AC platinum trophy I ever got too I believe, even faster than Syndicate. But yeah, it's def not perfect imo. I'm a huge fan of the modern story. So to me this was such a huge missed opportunity to not at least have like 1 or 2 cutscenes at the beginning and end explaining a bit more of what happened between Basim and William Miles after the AC Valhalla ending. Like come on. The one thing that really disappointed me.

People keep saying "Oh, It is just going to be a bad DLC" but it is actually one of my new favorites and it love it because of the bad games for the past few years and I always imagined there being a game somewhere in the middle east. I love this game because it feels new and old at the same time
It sucked. Wasn’t an AC game at all. No hidden blade, no assassins. It was a Spartan game end of. If it was just called “Odyssey” then yeah it’s a good game but as an assassins creed game, no chance. And tbh it was too easy and insanely repetitive and you feel like you have more superpowers than I did when I played avengers. And to say it’s the best compared to ezio collection. You’ve got something wrong with you.

Only AC game I have the Platinum for is Valhalla. Dont care what anybody has to say about that game. I enjoyed it and my character was a monster to deal with.
It was much easier to assassinate guards, which makes it more assassin like, but honestly almost all the guards are either looking at a wall or sitting in a corner looking at the ground but nevertheless satisfying to delete them without any effort

Recency bias would edge me towards Mirage, and I did love AC3.. but the platinum was a awful grind! However, I think my top 3 would Revelations, Unity & probably AC2.. but AC2 was my first AC platinum and the start of Ezio's story so you gotta love it
I really enjoyed Mirage as well and got the platinum. Thought this game was a sign that the series was going to turn around, sadly from what I've been seeing about shadows it seems like that isn't the case.

I’m honestly enjoying this game more than odyssey & Valhalla, as I enjoy more stealth oriented gameplay for AC games and the stealth in this game is amazing, I think the only thing this game needs improvement on is the parkour, they nailed it with Unity and then never got close to it ever again overall 8.5/10 I’m not done with the game yet but it is pretty fun
This is my favourite game right now I haven’t enjoyed a game this much for so long I enjoyed playing through dead island 2 and Hogwarts, but man this game is amazing I’m playing on ps4 too and it runs perfectly!!

I haven't gotten far enough in the story, just pretty much fresh from returning from the hidden ones camp, pretty much just doing the completionist thing and doing everything I can possible for continuing the story (did the dervish and beshi investigation stuff and gotta return to the bureau to continue further) I gotta say, I'm not overwhelmed by the stuff, ran into a few bugs, freezes, run animation bugging out sometimes when I start to sprint where it just looks like the walk animation (makes me feel like quicksilver/flash, lol. I like this one in particular). I even had a bug 2 nights ago where my move camera control was just not working (I did leave the game on pause for most the day/idle) yet I could still do everything else revolved around my right thumbstick. (Closing and reopening fixed this) I noticed few reused assets (not that its a big deal). But dispite all these things, I'm genuinely loving the game and exploring and challenging myself on the hardest difficulty and wouldn't change it. I don't think it's as good as origins or odyssey or as good as it's classic games as the ezio trilogy. But I'm loving it, definitly better then Valhalla. The intro was great, way to introduce our protag. Tho I don't see the use of the female and protag friendship at the start. Feel like I'm missing something or it could of been tweeked. I'm still early, maybe there's a bigger role to her then I think
I think one of, if not, the main reason people disliked this game is because they claimed that mirage was going to be a 'return to roots' only to pull an immediate 180 and say "lol you thought, get f***ed"
I am really happy with the game and do hope they continue with this style vs the rpg style they went with (origins is ok). I will say around the palace I called the ending and was still happy. I did do all the assassin contracts
41 hours for me to get the Platinum and that's because I took my sweet a** time. Valhalla took me 120 hours and that was me trying to go fast. Granted, I'm not the best player. The one thing I'll say, the Blade in the crowd trophy was a pain in the butt, wish they would've just said "use the teleportation jutsu on 5 enemies twice". This would've made life so much easier. Nevertheless, amazing map, very good gameplay. The true essence of Assassin's Creed is back in AC Mirage.

I like the game, but I'm honestly trying to kill time while waiting forever for Spider-Man 2. But my opinion as of now, it's the only game since Origins that I will consider calling it by its full name: Assassin's Creed Mirage. It's fun when you're in stealth. Combat was clearly an afterthought, and I like not being a demigod, but it does come close when using Assassin's focus. The parkour makes me miss the parkour in the older games (even in Rogue, and I don't like Rogue). It was easy to learn, hard to master, and as a 9-year-old, that's what I found so cool about the Assassins. Mirage feels like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, and I don't like 2 out of those 3 games. I don't know if I will platinum it; I haven't finished the story yet. But Assassin's Creed Mirage makes me miss what Assassin's Creed used to be and how great it was (except Rogue), and it disappoints me even more that the next game will be another 'rpg' game.
How did u get the self improvement and the fearless trophies because I've done everything in the entire game I've got all the sync points but no trophy pop I got explorer trophy but no fearless and I've got all the skill points in the game except 1 to get the last kill slot for the self improvement trophy what can I do please help 😢
Platinumed the game tonight as well, seriously agree here. Top 3 assassin creed games imo. No bloat, all about assassins and baghdad is one of my favourite cities. Story is also amazing, great twists. 9.5/10. Would be a 10 if i had double assassin blades 🤌🏼
yeah easily in my top 5 of AC games! I did felt naked without that double blade but the double blade wasn't a thing until Leo made them for Ezio.. so suppose it did make sense!

Mix of the best AC games, Valhalla is nowhere to be seen or reminded in Mirage. I for one am thankfull for that fact.

Only AC game I have the Platinum for is Valhalla. Dont care what anybody has to say about that game. I enjoyed it and my character was a monster to deal with.
It was much easier to assassinate guards, which makes it more assassin like, but honestly almost all the guards are either looking at a wall or sitting in a corner looking at the ground but nevertheless satisfying to delete them without any effort

@@jamiekingdom no worries bro! Thats a tough question! I would be Unity up there as the platinum was amazing but the game was so buggy. Origins is always epic as climbing the pyramids is awesome.
Recency bias would edge me towards Mirage, and I did love AC3.. but the platinum was a awful grind!
However, I think my top 3 would Revelations, Unity & probably AC2.. but AC2 was my first AC platinum and the start of Ezio's story so you gotta love it

I really enjoyed Mirage as well and got the platinum. Thought this game was a sign that the series was going to turn around, sadly from what I've been seeing about shadows it seems like that isn't the case.

I’m honestly enjoying this game more than odyssey & Valhalla, as I enjoy more stealth oriented gameplay for AC games and the stealth in this game is amazing, I think the only thing this game needs improvement on is the parkour, they nailed it with Unity and then never got close to it ever again overall 8.5/10 I’m not done with the game yet but it is pretty fun
This is my favourite game right now I haven’t enjoyed a game this much for so long I enjoyed playing through dead island 2 and Hogwarts, but man this game is amazing I’m playing on ps4 too and it runs perfectly!!

I plan getting all of the AC games platted after I finish all of the walking dead games.. how long did it take for you to finish them all and was it boring at times? Trying to get them all?
I haven't gotten far enough in the story, just pretty much fresh from returning from the hidden ones camp, pretty much just doing the completionist thing and doing everything I can possible for continuing the story (did the dervish and beshi investigation stuff and gotta return to the bureau to continue further)
I gotta say, I'm not overwhelmed by the stuff, ran into a few bugs, freezes, run animation bugging out sometimes when I start to sprint where it just looks like the walk animation (makes me feel like quicksilver/flash, lol. I like this one in particular). I even had a bug 2 nights ago where my move camera control was just not working (I did leave the game on pause for most the day/idle) yet I could still do everything else revolved around my right thumbstick. (Closing and reopening fixed this)
I noticed few reused assets (not that its a big deal).
But dispite all these things, I'm genuinely loving the game and exploring and challenging myself on the hardest difficulty and wouldn't change it.
I don't think it's as good as origins or odyssey or as good as it's classic games as the ezio trilogy. But I'm loving it, definitly better then Valhalla.
The intro was great, way to introduce our protag. Tho I don't see the use of the female and protag friendship at the start. Feel like I'm missing something or it could of been tweeked.
I'm still early, maybe there's a bigger role to her then I think

I think one of, if not, the main reason people disliked this game is because they claimed that mirage was going to be a 'return to roots' only to pull an immediate 180 and say "lol you thought, get f***ed"

I am really happy with the game and do hope they continue with this style vs the rpg style they went with (origins is ok). I will say around the palace I called the ending and was still happy. I did do all the assassin contracts
41 hours for me to get the Platinum and that's because I took my sweet a** time. Valhalla took me 120 hours and that was me trying to go fast. Granted, I'm not the best player. The one thing I'll say, the Blade in the crowd trophy was a pain in the butt, wish they would've just said "use the teleportation jutsu on 5 enemies twice". This would've made life so much easier. Nevertheless, amazing map, very good gameplay. The true essence of Assassin's Creed is back in AC Mirage.

I like the game, but I'm honestly trying to kill time while waiting forever for Spider-Man 2. But my opinion as of now, it's the only game since Origins that I will consider calling it by its full name: Assassin's Creed Mirage. It's fun when you're in stealth. Combat was clearly an afterthought, and I like not being a demigod, but it does come close when using Assassin's focus. The parkour makes me miss the parkour in the older games (even in Rogue, and I don't like Rogue). It was easy to learn, hard to master, and as a 9-year-old, that's what I found so cool about the Assassins. Mirage feels like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, and I don't like 2 out of those 3 games. I don't know if I will platinum it; I haven't finished the story yet. But Assassin's Creed Mirage makes me miss what Assassin's Creed used to be and how great it was (except Rogue), and it disappoints me even more that the next game will be another 'rpg' game.

How did u get the self improvement and the fearless trophies because I've done everything in the entire game I've got all the sync points but no trophy pop I got explorer trophy but no fearless and I've got all the skill points in the game except 1 to get the last kill slot for the self improvement trophy what can I do please help 😢

Platinumed the game tonight as well, seriously agree here. Top 3 assassin creed games imo. No bloat, all about assassins and baghdad is one of my favourite cities. Story is also amazing, great twists. 9.5/10. Would be a 10 if i had double assassin blades 🤌🏼
yeah easily in my top 5 of AC games! I did felt naked without that double blade but the double blade wasn't a thing until Leo made them for Ezio.. so suppose it did make sense!
