I rode this last week when i went to valijo and this was the first rmc i have ever been on and it is easially my favorite coaster. so smooth and so much airtime, and the layout is just crazy. i love it
Just went there this past weekend for the first time. This is my second Rec I rode. My home park is magic mountain. I loved the joker. It was super fun. Def no twisted colossus but it’s still really fun. I think it fits the theming of the joker. Plus we got to ride it twice in a row cuz the ops were just super nice. Seriously one of the best park experiences I’ve had in awhile. Anyways really dug this coaster.
I don’t like when people hate on this coaster. No hate to you Taylor, but Joker is not the worst RMC. I can think of many other RMCs that I do not like over Joker.
Finally got to ride this honestly I really loved it. I guess the drop is a matter of personal preference but I thought it was great especially in the back row you really get whipped over and around . The rollb and Helix out was really awesome and honestly I love the layout sometimes rmc's feel a little random but I thought this had a very natural flow to it. great pace tons of ejector and it throws you around.
I think a lot of the issue is the limited space for this. You need the twisted drop because it's butting right up to the entrance to the park, and the original drop was twisted too. The 270 degree bank turn thing is cool. and who doesn't like a top-gun stall.
Weird. I went on this yesterday, and they let us choose where we sat. I loved it a lot. Also, I don't even compare one coaster to another. I just review it as: "Will I like the coaster?" I respect your opinion, and I can see your way of thinking when talking about a coaster's stats and comparing it with other RMC, floorless, etc. coasters. I just hope I'll like the ride. And I loved this ride so much!
i rode the joker and twisted colossus and i thought this one has more ejector airtime than twisted colossus but twisted colossus have got a better drop so i don't wich one to choose
Today I just went to SFDK for the first time since 2004 and rode Joker twice. I loved the heck out of it, but then, it is my first RMC hybrid. Also, looked like they were testing out the nearby Harley Quinn for most of today.
@@mattglumactheautisticgolfe1608 also roar was the Parks only wooden coaster and the Parks only non inverted coaster now discovery kingdom is lacking in quality sorry it's two years late
Since the only other RMC I've been able to ride is at Magic Mountain, it's easy for me to love almost everything about this ride, as it's a significantly different experience than Twisted Colossus.
C Traffic Yeah. They should've kept Roar, and RMC Grizzly at California's GA. Both parks aren't far from each other, and it would work pretty well, in my opinion. I do like The Joker though
I actually found Joker to have a pretty eventful layout given its relatively small size. I rode it around the same time period with the unfortunately loud nylon wheels, but beside being slightly annoying it didn't impact the experience much. I've ridden 5 RMCs and would have a terrible time trying to rank them as they're all fantastic, but Joker would probably be at the bottom of the pack.
The reason why they used them at Kentucky Kingdom was because they literally ran out of the polyurethane ones. They burned through them a lot faster than anticipated. I imagine it was probably a similar case for SFDK
Think of a nylon wheel as a hard plastic - it's essentially solid. Wheels with a polyurethane tire are much softer - sticker, more friction, smoother ride but increased resistance. A ride with nylon wheels will run faster; conversely, one with polyurethane tires will run a bit slower. B+M actually use a carefully balanced combination of polyurethane and nylon tires on their rides to optimize the speed - this is done during commissioning.
I've heard some parks like Canada's Wonderland uses nylon wheels due to temperature. For a ride like Behemoth, it allows for a consistent ride in the cold months and the nylon lasts longer than polyurethane in the cold
I think some people are skeptical of rides like the Joker and WC because the max speeds are low. The layouts are great, but after I rode WC I was a little disappointed, and I think it can go the same way for when you rode the Joker.
ive only ridden 2 rmcs and Goliath is my favorite. The other rmc is twisted colossus and I'm going to six flags new England next month to ride wicked cyclone so I'll see how that ranks.
Going in a couple weeks, flying all the way from Florida to ride this. My list is currently... New Texas Giant (SFoT) Twisted Colossus (SFMM) Goliath (SFGAm) Iron Rattler (SFFT) Outlaw Run (SDC) Storm Chaser (KK) Wicked Cyclone (SFNE) *Lightning Rod (DW) *The Joker (SFDK) Haven't been on Joker or Lightning Rod yet so they're at the bottom. Agree that any RMC is greater than most coasters out there. so it's not which is "worst" but the others are simply better and the order is completely subjective. There are two classes of RMC coasters. One that goes 55mph, the others go 70+. I think if the coaster is the 55mph variety, then it needs 2 lift hills like Twisted Colossus. I want longer track length from these rides. Hey, you know the GTAs are September 10th. I wrote to Tim Baldwin and he says CP is going to stream the show on TH-cam. It's a packed stream and the comments are the best part. Since MItch's poll stopped, the GTAs are the only major poll out there besides a few web sites (like my bucket list).
+Hamza M Wicked Cyclone is VERY Good. Out of the 157 coasters I've ridden, WC ranks at 4. It comes in below El Toro, Skyrush, and Maverick but ranks about coasters like i305, Millennium Force, Fury 325, Superman the Ride, etc.
Why? It's incredibly rough, and with it's huge layout, it could be an awesome RMC. (Yes, I know it's really unlikely, since Hershey is not a large chain park)
+Evolution Epoch I live near Hersheypark and ride it all the time. It's only slightly tougher than Lightning Racer. Thunderhead at Dollywood is WAY rougher. So are both Hurlers, Grizzly, Rebel Yell, Racer, Beast, Twister at Knoebels, Mean Streak, Blue Streak....
I don't know how you've ridden it then. And the only coaster of those you've mentioned that I found rough as well was Hurler. (Twister at Knoebels is also incredibly smooth now, as is Phoenix, thanks to both being giving new track)
Dk is my home park and next time I go I'm going to row six😂 (if they aren't busy they usually will let you go to any row, and even if they are if you ask they will let you go to any of them, at least in my experience)
I think it looks cool. I know we shouldn't judge by POV only but it looks better than Goliath, longer more air more elements. It maybe looks better than Iron Rattler. But well see, I'll ride this later this year.
I know you repeatedly said you thought this was the worst RMC, but just in case you forgot, you do think this is worse than New Texas Giant? That's at my home park and I absolutely love it, but I know it's often considered the worst because it was the first one and is the least intense of them all.
I heard the nylon wheels made the ride run rough and slow. I rode it for the media preview. It ran with polyurethane wheels then and was running so fast. Definitely destroyed Twisted Colossus in everyway when I rode it.
I would like to be able to experience this and Storm Chaser again with the right set of wheels to see how my opinion changes. The nylon wheels definitely takes away from it.
Even with the nylon wheels, it's running faster now than the first week or so after opening. However, putting the Polyurethane wheels back on should make it hold its speed even better. Recent videos of Storm Chaser demonstrate this.
Hey taylor, can you try to think on MAKING a vid about SFMX? Its my home park and i would like to see you making any thoughts on something bout SFMX... As the only vid u have about SFMX it's a park battle and you did it like 2 yrs ago.... Please
Hey coaster studios, I just have an opinion or theory for Valley Fair. Since they've announced that there taking down The Enterprise and next year is the last year for the Dinosaur alive and the high roller is very old and very bumpy I was thinking that maybe they could do a very similar thing to ceader point and put a new coaster in and re do to he entrance. If you look on google earth it looks like they could do it in my eyes. And for what kind of coaster it could be I was thinking of an RMC of The High Roller but when looking at google earth it looks like it would be one of the longest RMCs ever and I don't know if they would put a record breaking coaster in such a small park like valley fair. I would love to hear your opinion on this and what kind of coaster you think it would be.
Hey back again but I was doing some digging and I saw that RMC has that new T-Rex track, now call me crazy but is there anyway that is what Vally fair could get?
Wait what? "I would ride any other RMC before this one, so it's score is 8/10" That means EVERY other RMC is a 9/10 or 10/10! This is the problem with reviews, people think if it is under 50% it is horrible, but it isn't, if you don't like it you don't need to worry about the hate you could get from fanboys
I rode this thinking there were no flips but.... that changed in about the first few seconds of my sanity riding this through the flips Also i was in the first row

Very exciting.
I like how they made the track two different colors.
