Hey Matt, take my critic from this video. It is great you are able to push so much information into such a short length, however, you talk a bit too fast in this video. Not everyone (including me lol) is a native speaker and they might struggle with your talking speed of this video. You barely scrape the six minute mark, you could have easily make the vid about a minute and a half longer and it would still be really short, but with a slower pace, easier to digest. Nevertheless, thanks for the info, your vids are top notch quality!
I am a native speaker but had to hit the rewind button a few times. Great insightful video, just found it was paced to fast for so much information. A few breaks in the speaking with just shots of the process would have probably helped.
@@mattamys I think even more than the pace (cause that can be fixed using playback speed in youtube) the information was far too technical for the majority of people. I think more simplification (like Mark Robers does with his engineering videos) will help. And so keep hustling Matt - love the content so far
Loved the video, i do wonder why when it comes to f1 helmets bell is really active on social media and agrees to show the bts, you never see arai or schuberth do that
The vast majority of carbon fiber products are made my hand. Getting a robot to reliably put the fabric on a mold correctly without wrinkles or seperating the fabric is not worth the expense and complexity.
This is awesome I’ve got 3 mini helmets from them (the 1/2 the scale helmets they make) one is a replica of sennas helmet. Can’t wait to get a full scale one tho
Crazy they don’t care to put on gloves to handle the pre preg. Not only is epoxy toxic, but the oils from the hand could cause delamination down the line. 😅

It's because of cheap labor from Africa, Indian subcontinent and the Philippines. They pay lower than a comfortable living wage (about $420 per month) to most of these employees.
I still don’t get why they are so absurdly more expensive than other brands as their construction is exactly the same. I thought they had something special/different but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
HOW did you manage to squeeze all of that into this video? That was seriously awesome! Fantastic work, Matt!
Thanks buddy!
Yet somehow still super easy to digest. Amazing
How can a channel that has direct access to F1 stuffs could be this underrated.
Fantastic video as always!
Thanks!

Why mentioning it ? They all drive with other helmet than Bell
@@59Mrgamer I think he wrote it as a summary for us to instantly know who doesn’t wear bell
Verstappen uses Schuberth helmets.
@@Dari92002 Yeah that
Seb n mich use JMD
I sincerely wish these videos were longer! They’re just that interesting.
Great video! Which was the last helmet? It it Grojean's, from 2020 Baharain gp?
It was indeed!
Always love these videos from you Matt, great work as always!
Thanks Ben!

@@C4sp3r123 Absolutely, as I am flued as well, it was quite fast.
Thanks for the feedback, apologies I do speak fast and it’s something I’m trying to learn to resolve!

This is an incredible video! Thank you so much for the time and effort that surely went into putting it together!
Congrats on the video! Very interesting seeing the whole process of the helmets specially Bell
grosjeans helmet at the end damnn, great video!

Because they’re smart and understand marketing lol.
@@sondosoft4603 yes they do, even one of the technicians has quite a following because he shows bts on how the helmets are prepared
@@Ares24320 They’re also a much larger company to be fair and have money to throw around to do more exciting bts things.
@@sondosoft4603 nothing fancy, they guy just does tik toks while preparing the helmets, schuberth has some amazing drivers, just wasted opportunity
A lot of this is done by hand, respect

You should do a series dedicated to explaining f1. Great video!
That's literally my whole channel haha, thanks!
i would have thought there would be more tech around trying to seperate the breathing compartment from the eye area.

Massive crash in Bahrain 2020
cool, but i wish the video was longer !!! i could watch longer. maybe go to Schuberth or Stilo?? Ive already seen Arai tours
They all said no!
Nice video. loved it. Would have loved a feature on Romain's Helmet you stood next to. ;)
Wow, didn't know that. Thanks for sharing👏👏
your channel is so underrated

Great vid! Anyone else wonder why the headquarters are in Bahrain?
Easier for distribution! They have many factories across the world but this one they were able to have next to the F1 circuit :)

It was! Didn’t expect to see it there when I arrived, and thought it would be nice to include at the end!

Nice Matt 💫👍
W vid because these are always amazing

Onde está o trabalho do escultor ? Isso não significa nada no processo de produção ?
Is bell owned by the same company that owns OMP? Like they had their logo on the building too
Same group "Racing Force Group"
Where do I buy one? 👀😢
Bell racing
Carbon fibres are soooo cool
very interesting
Thanks!
Good morning Merry Christmas to everybody so is it possible to buy an original F1 drivers helmet?

2 mandatory ads before the video, minute long sponsored segment, 2 mandatory ads after the video. I love TH-cam and constant advertising so much.
Yo Matt
Yo Maxx
Sorry mate, but F1 drivers use full kevlar helmets. They use this, because the high G-forces
I'm working there applying putty on helmets 🙃
not all are made from carbon there are fiberglass helmets which weight more but has almost the same protection as carbon
Yep I do mention they make helmets from carbon fibre and fibre glass sheeting, but with Formula 1 it’s carbon fibre only :)
Far too short and needed more detail. Still, nice overview, thanks!
Overviews are what my videos are, glad you enjoyed it!
Helmet Marko
Schuberth helmets are superior ;)
Holy smokes you talk fast. Had to play at reduced speed just to keep up.
