Organist Daniel Ficarri performs his Ceremonial Dialogue at Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA on the Hazel Wright Organ - the fifth largest pipe organ in the world, with more than 17,000 pipes and over 300 stops. The piece was commissioned by David Ball to celebrate the restoration of the instrument and was performed as part of an Interfaith Choral Festival & Prayer Service. The outer sections feature the commanding trumpet stops in each of the galleries, while the middle section features the lush strings. Sheet music is available at: www.sheetmusic....

Really nice piece, Daniel! Glad you got to play that on this organ. Keep composing!!
magnificent
I do not like what they've done to the former Crystal Cathedral, especially the vile 'whitewashing' of the Hazel Wright Organ, but this is still an impressive sound! Well done!
Great playing, thanks. This used to be such a beautiful church open to the sky. Now it is a sterile grey and white box. Ugh.
Sorry Daniel, this organ and recording is steril! It just doesn't compare to your recoding of the same piece; that you recorded on the organ ( five manual Willis ) at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.
Correction: he played the four-manual console in that recording.
