Mary M. tbh motostoke’s song is a remix of multiple songs, and so are a handful of other songs in the game. tbh this song most reminds me of toby foxes music than anything. everything else including the gym themes are very galar, being eurobeat sounding. I think it makes sense for a European based game to have remixes since that part of the world especially loves DJ’s. It’s not a bad thing.

The game started off a bit slow for me, but when I went into the Slumbering Weald and this theme started playing I knew the feeling was only temporary and I would grow to love these games. And I was right, these games are amazing! For an early game section, this theme is surprisingly emotional/creepy and I just love it. Along with both Wild Area themes my favorite tune from the game!

They have a net worth of over 90-100 billion dollars. Before you say its a kids game, do you think kids deserve a bad, shallow experience? Do you think kids are too foolish to go where they want instead of going in a straight line all the time? Im still a kid, but I still thought it was a shallow and dull experience for a pokemon game! Nintendo was made for kids, but that didn't stop breath of the wild from being released. And it became one of the most successful games of all time. The story was brilliant, the map for exploration was super huge! The game was very challenging but rewarding at the end of each quest, so many land marks to go to! And this is 2 years before sword and Shield got released. Pokemon is so rich!! They have so much money! But in the end, they gave us such a bad game, everyone hated it including myself. The mixing was really bad. But the composition is amazing! I LOVE Hop's final battle theme, but I can barely hear it in game over the stadium noise. It's a shame, because I think Gen 8 has the 3rd or 4th best ost in the series. Right behind Gen 5, 2, and right next to 4.
There are a lot of hints on sinnoh remakes lately. In us/um anime we see shaymin from gen 4 and we also get this beautiful piano theme that gives off sinnoh vibes. I believe sinnoh remakes should be coming after s/s

The feeling this theme gives me is almost indescribable, its like feeling hopeful but sad at the same time, its nostalgia but its unfamiliar to me, its an incredible theme and i love it.
I think the howling was less of an appealing choice but the fact it came out of nowhere just like the wolves did, plus their history wasn’t all that calming. They did have to stop the apocalypse from happened once and about to stop it again with your character. It’s not my favorite part either and gets in the way of listening to it but I think it’s a design choice I appreciate
I swear with headphones on I can hear the keys of the piano being hit, and that brings an unusual additional comfort to me in an already soothing song.
I have a theory about remakes but it could just be coincidence so in gen 4 we got gen 2 remakes then in gen 6 we got gen 3 remakes the generations that were remade were half the number of the current gen and we are in gen 8 right now so you never know

Finally hit me last night in a fit of late night creativity/distractions: 'Angels Online: Eden World Theme 2 (Mysterious Garden, North/South Mirror Lake)'. Thank you for that wave of nostalgia and childhood memories.
I fell in love with this the first time I walked into the slumbering Weald. Or at least the beginning part. Thought the second part was too harsh. But your version is softer at that bit and I love it even more now :)
When I first went into the Slumbering Weald, I wasn't able to hear what was playing due to low volume. When I finally returned (with earphones in), I was overcome by the melody and wandered around even after finding each hidden item just to listen longer. This version fits wonderfully, thank you for what you've done.
Thankyou so much for making this. When I first entered the weald I stopped playing just to listen and my heart broke when I discovered I couldn't re-enter. Whenever the Legend's Myth Theme played I kept it on. This is a phenomenal song, and an even better rendition. There's some songs that will bring back memories, and this will be one of those songs for me.
this just feels nostalgic in a nice way which also makes you want to cry. seeing how there is plenty of evidence regarding gen 4 being remade in gen 8 , I do hope lots of sinnoh's themes get remixed in the tune of slumbering weald.
I wasn't a fan of the howling in the SwSh ost. (Just my opinion.) I thought a flute or strings that mimic howling would've been a better choice. It's such a good theme! As one of the first dungeons in Sword and Shield, it did a really did job in giving off a very mystical feel, and if I remember correctly, it's one of the only few gen 8 pieces that uses piano, which I love. Also, is it just me or does this piece give off a very legend of Zelda feel about it?
One thing I like about the Slumbering Weald theme, this arrangement to be specific, is that it helps me calm down from the day and the fact that it makes me look at the best memories from when I was a lot younger than I am now. It just gives me nostalgia of remembering when I was first introduced to Pokémon, and when one of the Pokémon games I used to play every single day was taken down because Nintendo put a cease and desist on it because of Civil Laws and Copyright Laws back around in 2016-17 (Yes it was Roblox). It almost brings me to tears when listening to this song because of all of this. It also brings me back to the days when I was absolutely depressed for some shitty reason. It hurts me to listen to this song but it is an addictive type of pain.
The beginning makes me imagine coming out of some dark, world wide catastrophe, sun rays beaming through the dark clouds and my love interest is walking through the tall grass towards me as the clouds part, with a glowing smile on her face.
The beginning of the song is reminiscent of transition music for chill 80s shows (at least in the original) but then the Wolves' part comes in and the true cryptic majesty of the forest becomes eminent.
Fun fact, the term weald is a double pun, weald is a dialectical word related to german wald, meaning forest. It also implies wield l, as in, to carry a weapon.
If kalos had come earlier, like, as one of the first games, id say that this game was the best (in my opinion) since kalos. The soundtrack is amazing, the story is great, the characters have character development, and people actually recognize you as champion!

If kalos had come earlier, like, as one of the first games, id say that this game was the best (in my opinion) since kalos.
The soundtrack is amazing, the story is great, the characters have character development, and people actually recognize you as champion!
