Hi, I'm Pinlin, the artist at 15:47 . Both of you pointed straight out my art is real 😂I'm glad that the little details in my work are noticed. I place each element carefully in the composition. Thank you for bringing attention to art made by people.
It's so scary seeing how advanced AI is becoming, especially when you are someone who has dedicated a long section of their life to their work, like how all professional artists have done. The good thing is that AI can never replicate the effort and time a real person puts into their work, weather you are an architect, a content creator or even if you are just starting in fast food, humans are social animals, and we rely on each other to feel needed. So how about you guys and or gals, do something AI can't, go out there and compliment someone, it can be anyone. Sona, your art is truly amazing 💜
I thought this was AI generated until I saw "weather", I think mistakes is what makes us humans, and unless AI learns how to make mistakes or humanity learns how to be perfect, mistakes is what will differentiate us from AI

I noticed a difference between AI and real art. When looking at the background of reality faraway terrain. Look at the detail level if the detail level stays hyper realistic and the background is a painting in itself then it’s AI. But of the details get a little blurry and blocky and a bit unfinished then that is the artist not wanting to spend days making paintings within painting that are hyper realistic. And their canvas can’t zoom in anymore. :)
One of many indicators. "Ai" has no concept for... concepts. It's pattern recognition and regurgitation. Blabbering like a parrot. Have you also noticed that the Will Smith one is also AI generated? Whoever made this quiz got tricked as well.
still glad that ai makes a real artist wont and really messes up on things that arent anime or something widely drawn. I just know that one space one was suppose to be the deathstar. Then the spider one was too unique to be ai
I feel like I could tell for most if not all of them from vibes alone. You can tell when stylistic choices have intention behind them. A lot of AI “art” has very boring composition, you can’t really tell why the art exists. (If that makes sense) Also the shape language is more interesting in real art. I think this is why people often comment that AI has no “soul”.
I know a great way to tell if art is AI or a real person who made it; the K.I.S.S. rule. It stands for "Keep It Simple, Stupid" meaning if something isn't the main focus of the drawing, keep it as simple as possible, so if the background is way, way, WAY too detailed, AI made it. A great example of the K.I.S.S. rule is in 11:23, where the eye in the center is detailed, but the stuff around it is dots of color.
It is getting a bit more difficult to pinpoint ai art from real art. While we can still look deep into an image for what I call ‘purposeless’ strokes to tell if it’s ai who knows if it will advance to the point where that won’t be a good hint anymore. Crazy times.
AI is a lot better at general realism than digital art and stuff like the spider. The realistic stuff got me sometimes but I could immediately tell everything else. Like in the giant eye landscape thing I don't know if AI could've placed down those brush strokes with that much intent or made that swirling pattern that clean. And in the Spongebob one the style and rendering is just so unique, the hand isn't a mess and there were reflections in the eyes that I don't think an AI would've added, not to mention the neat composition. AI is getting eerily close to being indistinguishable to real art but it's not quite there. Insane to see how far this technology has come.
I am not an artist and I have zero knowledge in art , but I can tell 80% of the time whether it's art or AI . AI art has what I can only call "harsh lighting" : the part of the model exposed to the light seems to be always roasting under a 200 volt light ball or stadium lighting and the contrast between the exposed part and the non-exposed part is pretty noticable and quite jaring , not as close to night and day lighting difference but it is still hard for it to be unnoticed . Real artists tend to have a softer lighting , the exposed part seems to be under a softer light source and the transition between exposed and unexposed part is smoother .(and I think with the level of light exposure of models in AI drawings , their unexposed part should be just pitch black).
14:39 Please do me a favor and DO NOT Google that handle and click on the Tumblr link. It's someone showing pictures of their Playmobil toy figure next to dead small animals laying on the ground, some of them bloody and the figure is pretending to have murdered them, it's sick (in a bad way)
So I got them all right. The best way to tell Ai from real is to look at the lines. They should make sense and be consistent. Ai draws in high detail, but has no concept of the artistic principles. It's like someone who started drawing with advanced techniques without ever learning the basics. Those dried flowers were a good example. There is no way an Ai would be able to keep all those petals consistent in length, color, and overlap. Therefore, it must be real. But obviously people can make mistakes too, but because people learn basics first. You can judge if the detail is consistent with their basic artistic skill.
Quick question: You know how you did that face reveal? (And you look absolutely stunning) Are you gonna use face cam in your videos at all? I rlly hope so! Thanks, Noah.
The way I can tell something’s AI or not is the way it’s composed. Usually in AI, they wouldn’t know why something or someone was placed in a scene, since all they do is take other images from what they were fed to match it with whatever description was typed. A real artist would know where to place and put things in their scene, they know how to lead the viewer’s eye. For example, the detailed caves one lead my eye around the whole work. AI wouldn’t know how to do that. So yeah, great video! 👍
(I'm commenting my guesses as I watch through the video) 1 - AI...it loves drawing like that and there's so many things going on. A samauri AND a soldier AND whatever other wierd stuff is in that outift? (This was mostly a random guess, theres not much to go off of) 2 - AI. Most of the piece shows AMAZING lighting work, but someone with that level of skill would notice that they highlighted the metal thing as if the symbol was poking out, not indented. Also, a strand of hair blends into one of the brow wrinkles. 3 - AI, I think? The white strands are very confusing. Is it AI trying to make drawstrings for the hoodie, or does the character have a ribbon on the other side? 4 - Real. AI wouldn't make thin petals... that's like the one thing I can trust it on, is not messing up basic flowers that it has been fed 10 bajillion pictures of 5 - AI. What the hell are those irises and pupils lol 6 - AI. Both ends of the violin are in the water, but not the middle, why is it curved like that? And why is the bow tilted so that knly half is submerged? Why is the nose upsidedown and blurred at the top? Also, it's a really common AI style. ALSO WHY ARE THERE FOUR STRINGS BUT FIVE TUNER KNOBS 7 - AI... just, AI.

I love that Ai can generate art now it's so realistic btw so i guess all of the Art correctly. If a draw something so bad i throw my notebook and go to my phone and make the prompt i want
Ai is like. Life or death. No matter what you. How human or not it is. It's usually ai 😮
I do a thing for fun every month or so, where I visit either aibooru or pixiv and just look at ai art that looks good from the thumbnail, then trying to find the signs of AI outside of, y'know, "it's on AI website" and, "it looks too good".
Back in the day, hands were the big killer, but nowadays, I look for these first:
Eyes (They tend to look too colorful or monotone)
Lighting/Shading, a lot of AI looks glossy, but that's only for prompts that aren't that detailed, and usually those have more obvious signs
Basic backgrounds
Low(ish) resolution, not a lot of people generate images on high resolution because it requires a lot more processing power. Some people AI upscale which causes more artifacting but that kind of masks it because ai upscaling isn't just used for ai art.
Hands (just because they're mostly fixed doesn't mean discrepancies don't appear)
Clothing (Just weird artifacting), usually ornaments lacking details, especially when looking at parodies of existing series instead of OCs. See Genshin Impact's visions as an example
Now the *REAL* challenge would be to compare AI Touhou art and real Touhou art. The Touhou AI art is the hard mode of this game I play
