- Many of us grew up with Jeff Kinney's classic Wimpy Kid books, but was the movie adaptation any good?

Nice to be around fellow Rowley enthusiasts.
Oh no, Greg was just as bad in the book, if not worse. The Rowley Diary spinoff even gives an outside perspective confirming it. It's a pretty common theory that Greg Heffley is a budding sociopath.
"I'm sorry women" - Rockrick Heffley, 2011
The fact that the movie is just about a sociopath against a bunch of movie school stereotypes
'I'm the one who broke his hand' has the same energy as showing up to the funeral of the guy you hit with your car.
Honestly Greg is a better person in this movie than he was in any of the books. Yes I know that is an incredibly low bar.
Rowley is literally who you should try to be. Be yourself so long as it’s not illegal or hurting anyone
“If Greg was my friend, he wouldn’t be my friend”- microwave society 2021
growing up is realizing that rowley had the confidence we wish we all had instead of worrying about being popular like greg. at the end of the day only one of them is truly happy and that's our king Rowley
The books went from average middle school kid’s life to “ and then my three year old brother aligned our RV that was careening down a River perfectly to fit the missing shape of the bridge and then everybody escaped!”
“You see Rowley, I’m the one who terrorized those kids.”
In Elementary school I thought Greg would be relatable. But when I got to Middle School I realized that Greg isn't encountering problems,
Fun fact: They made a Wimpy Kid book about the production of this movie called
sounds like a pretty normal american public school tbh. my old, regular high school had three times as many students as it was meant to hold, so we couldn’t even use the cafeteria for seating. most of us also never had a locker, and if you were /really/ lucky, your class might not even have enough desks.
To anyone who has watched these, we can all agree on two things:
I'd like to point out, my high school had two lunch periods for two halfs of all the students, and there STILL weren't enough seats for everyone. Me and my friends would always sit behind a nearby building in the shade and just eat on the ground. So yes, the cafeteria not having enough seats is quite accurate.
Rowley is the kid we should aspire to be.
All the "Rowley chad" jokes aside, Rowley is legitimately pretty cool. He doesn't care what anyone else thinks, he just does the things he wants to do.
We think Greg is relatable as a kid, when we’re obsessed with stupid, trivial things.
