    Hey JJ. That scenery is beautiful!!! I love Idaho! The hills kill the mpg. People don’t realize how important air filters are. A clean one can increase lost power and up your mpg. In my personal vehicles I used to put in washable K&N filters in. My power and economy always increased. I see people blow them out a lot but that only removes the bigger particles. The small ones remain in the fibers and will over time choke out an engine. Plus compressed air also destroys the fibers and will cause restriction. Any who stay safe out there buddy. I’m catching up on vids now. Took a little break. It was my sons 30th birthday- his 3rd in heaven, feeling better now so I’ll be bothering you again. Lol

    11:20, also have to consider how much more a breakdown in the middle of nowhere will cost VS being on a highway.

    Clearwater is one of my favorite places to pull loads from. Dropped there yesterday and pulling a load out tomorrow.

    Grew up in Riggins. Parents had a restaurant there for 30 years. Spent 18 years there!

    Wow great video bud. I can't wait to start trucking and see this beautiful country of ours. No matter how much shit comes your way remember one thing bud... You are truly blessed for having a great job and for being able to see such beauty. Most people that I know have never even left this shit town that I live in.

    One can only hope trailer prices go down as freight market dries up a bit.
    Seeing 2-3 year old trailers selling for more than they were new is bonkers.

    Hi JJ. I'm with you on having your trailer. It's not a good time yet. 6-8 months when these inflated equipment prices back off. The agent I have worked with from NC for almost 9 years has lost his #1 status with his customer. So it's time to move out of my comfort zone and do things differently. I'm looking at doing concert loads with Up Staging. I have a full logistics Landstar trailer that would work. So if that's something you would like to investigate just call BCO services for assistance. Take care drive safe.

    There is also a movie by the same name (name taken from the song) starring Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix. (And I think Flea is in it too.)

    What aero devices on your trailer? Skirts, trailer tail? Singles or duals? Have you adjusted your driving speed?

    • @JJtheTrucker
      @JJtheTrucker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have skirts and small Tails. This trailer has duals. Nope, haven't adjusted driving speed unless the due date is a set schedule, no early deliveries and plenty of time. Still getting good mpg and getting on that next load pays more than the savings of slowing down (in most cases).

    • @sjfk1306
      @sjfk1306 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JJtheTrucker what are you getting for MPG?

    JJ I pick up at the same paper mill In Lewiston. I noticed that you were driving on the 95 going south towards Ontario, Oregon. Do you need a permit to drive on it?

    • @JJtheTrucker
      @JJtheTrucker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn't need any permits.

    Are you looking for a reefer trailer? We have a couple trailers we will be selling once our new ones come in. Thermoking units. Aluminum wheels on most of them, tire air systems.

    • @JJtheTrucker
      @JJtheTrucker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I may be interested. How much would you be asking? What brand are they and what year?

    • @sjfk1306
      @sjfk1306 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JJtheTrucker they are between 2017s and 2019s I believe. Wabash is 1 of them and the rest are utility. I’d have to ask on price and which ones we still have. I’ll get more info in a few days for you.

    • @sjfk1306
      @sjfk1306 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So we have a couple for sale. Between 20K and 40K depending on year and which reefer. S600 and S700 thermoking. The cheaper one just got $3500 worth of new coils and other bits done by our dealer.
