    This is the kind of video I like to watch.. He narrates what he is doing... He is professional, and not just looking to be the top dog on youtube.. I see this channel hitting a million in the not so distant future... Keep up the good work, let that back rest....

      Thanks, the TH-cam thing is just a hobby for me, not a job. My job is the rebuild itself. I don't know about 1 million. I set the goal of 100k, never thinking I would reach it though. If I make the 100k I will have to focus on the 1,000,000. Thanks for the support!

    Good afternoon Scott, now thats real progress. And a lovely lady to help you. I like your homemade frame machine, who knew a forklift could be so versatile. Lots of sheet metal pieces. I have found this to be the best way to tackle a job like this. Thanks for now. Take care.

Production and editing focuses first on the project and information and less on personal flair and entertainment at the expense of educational value. Man, I have been watching some other 'wrecked build' video's, and even some barn finds and other car video's. I have to say, they all pale in comparison. Who wants to watch 3 videos 25 minutes long each, of someone rebuilding a carb and talking about how cool the car is, or driving for 3/4 of EVERY video while enjoying the sound of their own voice? You, my man, show GREAT video's, kind of how-to and a LOT of knowledge being handed down. I know you asked in the (fast forward?) video if its too long, or should you do other stuff, and I dont think you should, and that video was just about too long, but not really because you still showed EVERYTHING you did to it (mostly), and it was FUN. Most youtube video's are just tongue wagging. Yours are almost perfect. Cant wait to see how this one turns out!

    C6-T1 and L3-L5 issues here bud, I get it. Two things that help, stretching/light yoga, and inversion. Once there is a bulged disc, there's pretty much no going back. But you can alleviate the issues by taking those few preventative steps. good luck!

    I was a body man for about 15 yrs. and my lower back was so bad when I got out of it but after around 5 years my lower back was healed up. You're still relatively young though so if you don't already get a chiropractor. Have you ever used a TENS unit? It's what a chiropractor uses in his/her office a lot of times but they sell them on Amazon for around $35 but it helped my back and shoulder pain a lot. Nice to see someone that takes pride in their work in the industry, as I'm sure you know it's rare as hens teeth, case in point the butcher and crook that you got the "mistake" truck from. You make it look so easy like the head panel. Funny I saw the other video when you removed the bed. Well yesterday I was putting stuff in the bed and kept hearing metal rattling sound. Under the tail lights the metal just folds over no welds or caulking

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Trust me the headliner is mostly video editing. I had to cut out the 30 minutes I struggled with the wires. lol Some of those bed sides are like door skins, just folded over. They use so many different methods these days. A lot of quarter panels on cars are moving in the door skin style direction as well.

    Dude I feel you on the back issues. I herniated a disc when I was 30 and have been dealing with it for the past 27 years. You know you've done it....a little "erk" and goddam not again. Another time I was out for 5 weeks cuz I SNEEZED.
    Have you tried yoga? I haven't as yet but a buddy of mine who also has a bad back did it and he said ever since he hasn't thrown his out. Going to have to try it one of these days.
    Shit man, saw you wince putting the door on....fuck I felt that from here.
    I was working in Denver one time and went to lift up a ladder, threw it out. Caused muscle spasms that were so bad they'd pull my face and lower lip out of whack. The customer was talking to me when a spasm hit and she freaked. She sent me back to the hotel and liased with me and the crew.

      @@doughboy1966 I've done that too. The twisting action. Specially if it's a little cool out. When I worked construction I'd tend to wear heavier sweaters/shirts than needed. Coworkers commented on it and I'd say "warm muscles are harder to damage".

      You should try plasma injection. My brother did it and his back is much better now. Not prefect but he was so bad he had no feeing in his left leg from the collapsed disk and he’s back to work now with little pain now and then if he over works it.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The first time I had a problem was in my late 20s. I have sneezed my back out as well. My favorite was reaching up to press the garage door button. No lift, no stress just the wrong twist at the wrong time. Ironically I have never hurt it when actually lifting things. I guess I just need to always be lifting! I do a lot of stretching, part of my gym routine. It helps but with a couple collapsed discs, arthritis from all the injuries and degenerative disc disease, there is not much I can do to stop it. My biggest problem is I still try to work like I did 20 years ago. After putting in 18 hours the day before, my back was tired. I should have rested instead of working. I like to get it all done in one weekend though. It is time to rethink my scheduling. Putting the door on required the belt just to stand up, as well as laying on the floor for 45 minutes and a few aspirin. I literally could not have done it without the little one's help.

    Love the trick about getting it out the door for the headliner, I have been pulling the back window which is a pain, but now that I have seen you get it out the door , I hopefully will see no more rear windows being pulled in my future. Now I need you to show pulling fender liners in the front pain free ( I hate doing them they can be such a PITA to get back in in some trucks ( yes Fords come to mind ). Remember the oid days when dashes never had all the electronics they do these days and how easy those were to pull, makes a guy misty eyed just thinking about it... not like that anymore...lol nice work, you have been at this a looong time you make it look like a piece of cake

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They don't always fit out the door but I always try before I start removing glass. The console and seats have to be out for it to work on these. It will be going back in through the back window though. No real body tech has ever liked wheel liners! 😂 They always suck, I procrastinate all the time when it comes time to put them in, taking them out isn't as bad. Aftermarkets are the worst, they suck AND they never fit just right! Thanks for watching!
