@@lindseyann1723 Yes, absolutely we need Jesus. He is the source and summit of our life. He is the only reason we have hope for eternal life. The sacramentals like the rosary, miraculous medal, and brown scapular help us on our way to heaven. Jesus in HIs infinite love and compassion for us, has allowed us to participate in His plan for salvation. Just like He allowed Simon of Cyrene to help carry His cross, He as given Mary the honor to help us, her children (Rev 12:17), fight against the powers of evil (Ephesians 6:12).
But we should never rely purely on sacramentals as the graces received from them come solely from Jesus' Life, Death, and Resurrection.

This miraculous medal has always been my favorite since I was a child and I've always felt a strong connection with the medal. Our Lady is desperately working to save God's children, like any mother who see's her children wandering, falling, hurting themselves. The more we cling to the material, to the world, the less meaning God has. But the more we see the eternal, the more we see the value and purpose of sacrifice, of worship, of the need for a knowledge of the Gospels and knowledge of God. And to help us on that journey, we have these incredibly important sacramentals (and of course the Rosary!!!) and the graces given for those who wear them with faith and reverence! Our Lady is crying for us.. come back to Jesus!

Today is my brother's birthday. I don't recall connecting his birthday to this Feast until this year, so I think I only recently became aware of the Feast...at least, aware in time to celebrate his birthday. I'm a member of the Association of the Miraculous Medal and have been for quite some time. The AMM sends me stuff often, but I don't often get around to opening that kind of mail in a timely manner. This year I did open the envelope containing the Novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, and resolved to pray it. Realizing the Feast falls on my brother's birthday, I let him know that I have a Miraculous Medal for him to wear with his St. Michael the Archangel Medal. He left the Catholic Church long ago, but did ask where he could get the St. Michael the Archangel Medal when he became a Sheriff Deputy. He's been in the military, followed by US Border Patrol, and then County Law Enforcement, so he might have had the St. Michael Medal for a long time. But other than that he has had no interest in anything Catholic. So I wasn't sure if he would accept the Miraculous Medal, but he did! With thanks! Please pray for his return to the Faith of his baptism and First Communion.

I heard the back of the medal where there is a star at the top is a freemason and not the original medal! Your clip has both types here, the ones with and without the star at the very top of the medal. I don't know what the freemasons were hoping to achieve with this change! Has anyone else heard this?
YES!! I've heard the very same thing from a priest. Get the medal with the six stars on either side of Mary, not the one with the star at the top of her head. I, too, have been told that is a Freemason medal. As to what would they would hope to accomplish with that, my thoughts are the possibility it is totally ineffective, or worse, could have some sort of evil intent attached to it. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong. Beware unless you get verification to the contrary.

I personally have NEVER heard of this Freemason Miraculous Medal.
30 years ago, I was at the Vatican and bought a 14carat gold MIRACULOUS MEDAL (Blessed) at the Vatican Store. I have worn this medal since. I looked at the back of the medal, to see the 12 stars, and yes, there are 6 stars on either side.
I have been researching the MM and the concept of a FM copy. I’m not finding any info but I will keep searching.
The FM version is missing the 1830 from the front. Do not buy these

Father at 5.57minutes into the video the correct position of the stars is visible. At the top the stars are positioned on both sides of the Cross.
However, @ 6.02minutes the picture of the star onto of the cross is incorrect. Our Blessed Mother would never place herself or apostle (representing the 12 stars) ABOVE JESUS.
I have heard that this second design was infiltrated and should not be worn and I agree and believe people need to be informed and be wary of this false medal in circulation.

The image of the medals with the stars on back of the medal, is not correct. It is supposed to have the stars on both sides of tbe medal. None in the center of the top. This is important as there is a version the evil one has circilated. There are other things to watch for on the medal as well. Also there are supposed to be 12 stars

It is hard to understand why the 12 stars on the back of the Miraculous Medal are five pointed stars? The five pointed star has always been associated with Satan. Lucifer was the brightest angel of light before his rebellion against God. At the start of his existence, Lucifer can be represented by the pentacle with the central point straight up. When Lucifer fell from grace, his star fell upside down too and became a star with two points up, the Sigil of Baphomet, or Lucifer transformed into a horned beast. In Catholic Churches built before the modern age, The Virgin Mary was always wearing a crown of 12 six pointed stars of David. This star differs from the modern star of Israel in a very subtle way. The star of Israel is made of two equilateral triangles whereas the Star of David is made up of two isosceles triangles. These subtle differences have a huge impact on the spiritual realities they represent.

@@kimfleury If you were to visit old Catholic Churches in Europe you would find the unadulterated real sacred symbols. You will not find a five pointed star in any sacred place. I am in possession of a Miraculous Medal from 1870 that has six pointed stars and they are arranged in the way you can see at 7:09 min in this video. If you look closely, you will see that there is no star above the Cross on the Medals, unlike the Medals displayed on the screen at the 6:05 min. mark. There is a warning given by some visionary, that the medals with the star above the Cross are false medals. The real original medal given by the Virgin Mary is the one that has 6 pointed stars on both side of the cross. It seems like such minor details, but there is a very foreboding saying: "The devil is in the details!"

If you read the original documentation, in the vision of St Catherine Laboure there were no stars at all. The stars were an addition by those responsible for producing the medal. Also bear in mind that the Church never formally reviewed or approved the actual vision of St Catherine Laboure.
@@ElishaD-rb8pv I must admit I haven't read any documentation on the origin of the Miraculous Medal. I only watched a video on this matter "HIDDEN SECRETS of the MIRACULOUS MEDAL ". It does say in the video that St. Catherine Laboure was not able to get the medal struck. However this means that she must have provided the example of what that medal should look like. I also assume that the priest who managed to get the medal struck used her design. On the front of the Original Medal, shown in the above mentioned video, at the 4:00 - 5:30 min mark, The Virgin Mary indeed has no crown of stars. The stars are cast on the back of the medal surrounding the Marian insignia. The medal I have was cast in 1870, only 40 years after the Apparitions of The Virgin Mary in 1830, thus it must be of the original design. Since it was miraculous and greatly valued during the plague, the enemies of the Church could have easily eroded the miraculous power of the medal by subtly altering the design. Catholic stores do carry the Miraculous Medals in abundance, but they are not like the original one. Commercially sold gold and silver Miraculous Medals often have 6 pointed stars, but arranged in the wrong way. The cheaper metal ones may have the right arrangement of the stars, yet, they are 5 pointed stars. Why is it so, that in the age of 3D printing nobody can cast the Miraculous Medal of the original kind?

The Blessed Mother is quite aware of the age-old controversy regarding the correct translation of Genesis 3:15. It seems that she is deliberately telling us that it is her Son who crushes the head of the serpent according to the intent of Genesis 3:15.
Also, Genesis 3:15 has been universally seen as the promise of a Redeemer. We know that the Redeemer is Jesus, who is a man. Therefore the correct translation must be "He will crush." If it were "She", it could not be the promise of the Redeemer.

There has been a lot written, I believe, as to the etymology of the pronoun that was used. But scholars do not agree. Anything I say about that would really just be my choosing between one or another uncertain hypothesis. The matter of gender here is obscure. Perhaps it is simply the case that the antecedent ("seed") does not have a clear gender. Regardless, a feminine gender was not used, so the gender question does not support either side of the argument.
But the two arguments I did give are not obscure. Why not respond to them?
