They are loud, I have a single system on my 2013 WRX. Was spot on b4 I fitted a downpipe & tune, now it’s too loud for some situations. I do use the baffle from time to time tho, exactly the same as the open exhausts I have on my sports bike.

I daily drive a G37 coupe on Isr longtube headers, Megan Racing y pipe, and a tomei catback. At first breaking it in it was super loud now it’s really not that bad it gets loud yes but it’s worth it😅

how would you compare the Tomei to a Borla? I'm torn on a Tomei, a Brola, or a Revel Medallion for my 370z. All good options, but I don't know what will sound the best?!?!?!?
@@Izzys_Autos I think I want to go with something more high pitched per se? Something that really does give the personality of a japanese street car. I know its not your typical 4 cylinder FWD JDM car, but I think I like the background it represents. So tough to decide though when you're going up against brands like Tomei and Borla... definitely a tough decision

I had high flow cats in mine before. It was hella loud ... And it had quite a lot of drone too
i might even go with ART pipes. i can’t even imagine how much louder test pipes would be than high flow cats.

I haven’t heard any borla or revel but I had an exotic speed exhaust on my old g35 and it was quite deeper than the tomei. Less high bitched.

Personally, I'd go with the 04 cuz of the oil consumption issues of the Revup engines on the 06's. Only thing is, looks wise the 06 will look better.

I feel that. I had CNT high flow cats that were just stupidly loud. I replaced them with the stock cats after lol.
