I spent almost two full years impersonating a deputy sheriff, I carried a gun and a badge, tracked suspects, and investigated many crimes. I never had any issues from police, and the community was nothing but happy when they saw me. Then I turned 8 and decided to become an astronaut.
While I dont like this guy Jeremy and his antics, the officer here seems to be undecided whether the weapon was open carried or conceal carried ... he got pulled over for openly displaying a weapon and then arrested for conceal carry? a bit odd...
I don't like Jeremy at all, I think he's a pos. However, that doesn't mean law enforcement gets to make shit up to get you. They're going to continue to take this shit too far and turn public opinion against them.
The amount of money he has spent on police gear, uniforms, custom patches, custom badges, weapons, vehicles, and the like just so he can pretend to be a cop just blows my mind.

To be honest on this occasion Jeremy was right. The cop clearly thought he had a gun because he saw it. It wasn't concealed and it wasn't even a gun. The cop screwed up and his ego wouldn't let him admit that so he had to charge him with something. He wasn't charged with impersonating an officer, under Florida law he's allowed to do what he does. The guy Jeremy was with was dressed the same and carrying the same and was allowed to leave. It looks like this cop had a personal issue with him.

This arrest was spot on! Less lethal weapons have identifiers on the grip like yellow, red or a blue back strap and/or yellow cap on the magazine etc.. Jermey removed or added black parts that made this less lethal look like an actual firearm! Hence CONCEAL carrying, he concealed the markings of a less lethal weapon!
Open carry in Florida is illegal in the manner he was carrying. I'm assuming that is covered by Florida's concealed weapon's statute. If that's the case, then they are using the term open carry and concealed carry as it applies in Florida law and not general terms.
So which is it... if the weapon in on the hip, in a holster, it is Open Carry, or Concealed... and if it is Concealed, then why can't anyone with a CCW, carry in a holster on the hip?

Bottom line: we (the People) issue you with a gun and a badge, and we expect you to be better human beings than any of us. It shoots a projectile down range = a type of firearm. In this case the projectile is a non-lethal pepper ball. It is a concealed weapon because the pepper ball gun does not have proper markings such as a noticeable color identifier like yellow/orange/or blue.

Now I do have some experience with a different training weapon that looked exactly like a Beretta M9 with a few differences. The weapon had blue identifiers that could be seen (even when in the holster), had a barrel with a smaller interior diameter so it would accept a simulation round that had a plastic material projectile filled with an orange paint that used a smokeless gun powder.

If fidlar could have controlled himself for a little bit longer, Jeremy was burying himself. Vidler deserved to lose his job for what he did and Jeremy seems to also be receiving Justice. The actions of the police in this instance, gave Jeremy a smidge of credibility and luckily it did not blow up in our faces.

To be honest on this occasion Jeremy was right. The cop clearly thought he had a gun because he saw it. It wasn't concealed and it wasn't even a gun. The cop screwed up and his ego wouldn't let him admit that so he had to charge him with something. He wasn't charged with impersonating an officer, under Florida law he's allowed to do what he does. This arrest was spot on! Less lethal weapons have identifiers on the grip like yellow, red or a blue back strap and/or yellow cap on the magazine etc.. Jermey removed or added black parts that made this less lethal look like an actual firearm! Hence CONCEAL carrying, he concealed the markings of a less lethal weapon!
Open carry in Florida is illegal in the manner he was carrying. I'm assuming that is covered by Florida's concealed weapon's statute. If that's the case, then they are using the term open carry and concealed carry as it applies in Florida law and not general terms.

It is a concealed weapon because the pepper ball gun does not have proper markings such as a noticeable color identifier like yellow/orange/or blue.

Now I do have some experience with a different training weapon that looked exactly like a Beretta M9 with a few differences. The weapon had blue identifiers that could be seen (even when in the holster), had a barrel with a smaller interior diameter so it would accept a simulation round that had a plastic material projectile filled with an orange paint that used a smokeless gun powder.

A felon which he is, can not have a firearm and since that pepper ball gun looks exactly like a gun with no visible markings can't have any canceled weapons of any type. Open carry is permitted for non felon. Now if that was a visible yellow or orange to identify non lethal then there is absolutely no reason for the stop. Now yes the officers know he carries a pepper ball gun witch had a different look to it before. Had a nob on the bottom for co2. This one does not. Whats to say that he cracked and carried a real gun for retaliation against the officers or his wife or girlfriend whom he has been arrested a few times for beating them up. For sure this cop was way out of control. And the case was only dropped for which can be brought up in his next court case for impersonating law enforcement and other crimes. If they kept the charges this time it would have pushed back his other court date.
