Good call on a great car.oldsmobile luxury and power
Thanks! Here in the next month or two, I'd like to get some floor pans put in and get it back on the road again!
Awesome buy Jake. It'll make great content for the channel.
I'm glad you are excited! It's gonna be an awesome project!!
You may appreciate that in the 1970s I owned three 56 Oldsmobiles, a black 4 door post and 2 two door hardtops, one white, the other red and white. 54, 55 and 56 all had the 324 V8, 56 had higher compression and few more tweaks to it.
Awesome project! looking forward to seeing you progress.
Thank you! I can't wait to get started on this restoration!
I found the body style outstanding, when everything was set properly, it ran great. For a car of its size and engine size, driven prudently it got about 17 mpg highway driving. I can remember a time when you saw them , yes everywhere.
Love this model! Exactly like one my dad had in the early sixties. I've browsed through your videos and am wondering how far you got on the restoration. Didn't see any other videos but I sure hope to sometime! Thx so much!
Looking good. Car too!!
Love love love that olds.
I do too! They are beautiful cars!
My first car was a '56 98 Holiday sedan. Wish I would've kept it. Fully loaded factory A/C, too
That's awesome! I'm really looking forward to getting some work done on this one!
It's great to hear that you're not planning on butchering and mutilating this car. They're not cheap and plentiful any more, and keeping them close to OEM seems like the right thing to do. If you must make changes, try not to do anything that's irreversible.
It's definitely going to stay this way! It's too beautiful to hack up!
Put a 572 in it and burn rubber
My dad bought his 56 olds brand new back then same beautiful colors. I use to have a pic of him in it. He said it cost him $2000. New. Can't imagine purchasing a new auto only for 2k now a days....
Hi my grandfather had a 1955 Olds 88 4door model
Mark Downey
Are there newer Vids of this project??
Very interesting!
Nice car, however I would invest only in fully equipped "Ninety Eight" 98.

They are awesome cars! I love the split grill on the 56! Probably one of my favorite features!
