In his time in the nfl, the scouting reports that were conveyed to me basically said that he wasn’t able to read defenses well enough to find the open guy on full field reads, that he was a guy that can do half field reads and most of his passes were rockets even when he needed to finesse it. Could he have improved? Maybe but I never saw anything that suggested he could be the full time guy year end and year out. The teams record when he started is a thing but still a TEAM thing and not direct evidence of him being able to be a long term starter. My two cents.
