It was fun doing these I may continue to do these here and there!
for the next solo podcast in the future. in the comments write a situation or something you’d like “advice” on! Get specific… we shall all discuss!

I find that those you work with have the potential to be lifelong friends. You see that person at their best, their worst, you hear about their problems and their successes, and best of all, you hang out with them at work and they too get to know you (assuming you aren't an introvert the entire time). Of course not everyone enjoys their work or their coworkers, but it can be something to consider.

6:53 ima be honest, sometimes after a day out with friends a part of me wishes i had taken more pictures or remember to make tiktok videos because i do want to post what i see on social media, but thankfully it doesn't take away how much i enjoyed just being present in those moments, which really is more meaningful than taking pauses just focusing on content (and i could always just repost stuff when my friends tag me🤣)

Thank you for sharing this topic David. I understand what you went through. This was something I struggled with for the longest time. Friendship/family issues was such a complex issue for me that I didn’t know how to explain it into words; but you were able to truly break it down and touch upon multiple issues that connected with me in one video. Listening to this was in a way healing and very helpful. Thank you for being vulnerable. It is nice knowing there are people who we can relate to and share emotions and perspectives with to support one another ❤

I needed to hear this, your solo podcasts resonate with me when I'm also feeling solo. Recently I decided to take a bigger step into independence and did solo-traveling to meet some friends and I really do feel like I've found my group. Choosing yourself before forming a relationship or bond with others will be a long and lonely journey, but it'll be worth it when you know you won't be alone. I'm gonna keep fucking up and that's ok, I won't always be understood or palatable but at least I'll be able to understand myself eventually.

Love the prayer in the beginning 😂😂😂! I, for one, love the solo podcast! The fact that as a senior you realized fuck this, I'm going to do me? That's pretty amazing. I didn't figure that out till much later in life. So kudos to you. Without even asking you for advice, you gave it on my particular " friendship." So thank you.

I liked your thoughts around the 30 minute mark David. As a LPC and just a human being, I encourage clients and friends that we can empathize and understand, but we don’t have to tolerate. It’s had bc when we understand/empathize, we want to help naturally as humans. But then, we gotta think about our boundaries and if helping is gonna be beneficial for both parties

man, I love the solo podcast format! So keep doing what you’re doing 👏🏼
I am currently in a state/situation where I came to realize that even though i work really hard for things i don‘t get the results i expected. It makes me feel like i‘m in a dead end and this is pulling me down quite a bit. For example you practice hard for a certain sport or you try to date more, you do this, do that but whatever you do, you don’t see the results and it feels like it‘s not meant to be for you. Does this make sense?
    Thanks for reading. Appreciate ya

Top 3 lessons in your life you would share with your younger self or young growing adults. What those lessons are, how those lessons came to be, what makes them belong in the top 3, and how has it helped you in life.
Edit: Ironically you start off with taking advice with a grain of salt. I made this comment prior to starting the video haha.

Always just thought of it through a "rowing the boat" metaphor. Gotta have 2 people who are putting in roughly the same amount of effort... Otherwise it's a sink 😂
Recently ended a close friendship cause I realised for a few years, I was the only one rowing & they were getting pissy that I was trying.

I'm interested in this topic only because I feel like most of the "friends" in my life only reach out when they need to vent about some shit going on in their life. Then, they would be like "ok talk to you in like 6 months cause you never reach out", but when I do I'm mostly left on read. I have the receipts! I'm simply just convenient because I care too much. Besides all the bullshit going on in their lives I like going out for drinks and spending actual meaningful time together so I guess it's time to set my boundaries.
    Love the solo format!

I remember you once said that don't give a fuck about what other people think of you, but you felt like you needed to start. I grew up watching you and the JK crew as my main influences, so I never really gave a shit about other people's opinions. But now I think I'm having to start trying to come across as socially acceptable, and it's hard. Could you maybe ever touch on that subject? And I'm told to be normal, but be myself. How does one thread that line? I'm very lost and confused and could use the help of someone like you. Thanks for all you do man
