Yeah he makes no sense with his comment. I am agnostic. What does that have to do with anything. I've never found the guy funny, only boring. He's never seen toy story maybe because he has no kids. No joy in his life, why he's such a stiff.
He grew up in an era where animated films and shows were only created for children in terms of subject matter and content, _Disney, Merrie Melodies, Terry Toons,_ and _Looney Tunes._ So now he just assumes anything that is animated is limited in intellect and depth. He probably never saw _Batman The Animated Series, Spawn The Animated Series,_ Japanese anime, or content of that nature. Even animation that is geared towards children has cerebral elements woven throughout.. He is just out of touch.
He is actually dead wrong. Woody is the toy, and it is a Toy Story, it is not an Andy Story. Toy Story 3 frames Andy as the Toy's kid and they're sending him off to college but that's the end of Andy's story and not Woody's - so how can it be the perfect ending when it isn't the ending for the main character? 4 is the perfect ending because it is the end of the Toy Story we have been watching and it is closer linked to Toy Story 1 and 2. Literally Pixar said "we made 4 because with 3, we made a mistake."
@BeanerMoney You're taking the natural double entendre of the title and using that alone to try and prove your point. I'm using what number 1 and 2 are actually ABOUT. They're not framed as solely toys in the first two films, they're framed as factory workers doing their jobs. Performing for Andy is their job. Having Woody leave in 4 tracks a lot better as an ending because he begins the first movie, as a toy, as a worker, and ends the story retiring and Buzz (the toy who was meant to replace Woody in the first place) having to say goodbye to his friend. 3 makes the toys into parents saying goodbye to their kids as they go to college. It's still a nice story, but it's a spinoff story, it's not the same world as Toy Story 1 and 2.
He should give Toy Story 4 a shot. I was hesitant but truly loved it. I'm hoping that Toy Story could end up being a perfect saga someday, not just trilogy.
I mean Toy Story 4 was good but doesn't at all hold a candle in my eyes to the other three films. It's a movie that I've always enjoyed but always found somewhat unnecessary.
The thing about Toy Story 4 is that it's an incredible movie, and the story doesn't work without Toy Story 3's ending. So it's a bit of a paradox where yes, Toy Story 4 ideally shouldn't exist, but it's another (not quite as) incredible movie that wouldn't be able to exist if Toy Story 3 didn't "end" the series the way it does. I'm curious if they can do the same thing with Toy Story 5, which they kinda need to at this point.
Toy Story 4 is the worst of the franchise. That’s enough of a reason they should have stuck with the solid 3 films and not tainted a perfect thing. It doesn’t matter that it isn’t “bad.” I’ve always wished they just continued the story (if they had to) as a series on Disney +.
Leaving on the 3rd film left the story in an Infinite loop for the toys of getting passed down to the next Generation. Way better Ending than 4…. And the Shorts would still make sense…. QT knows.
@@RileyWritey Toy Story 3 had no reason being that good , the end at the climax at the garbage dump I was in my mid 20s freaking out , I remember when Toy Story 1 first came out so this was just stressful for me . And then 4 comes out , they didn't need to do 4 at all
@@gordonworth5461 I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about you lot using the word woke. Fucking pipe down already and stop throwing that meaningless term around
woke is a word that needs to be retired. people are using it in completely unrelated contexts. the reason they made 4 was because they were sitting on a cash cow and wanted all the money.
@@-LAH What they did with the Bo Peep character was Woke lol smh , she was completely different from what she was in 1-3 . There was no reason to change her smh lol the movie was just unnecessary and being Woke didn't help
Bill with his “I am told mature to watch an animated film” bullshit. QT knows and respects filmmaking. No snobbery.

Unironically one of QT’s best takes
Toy Story came out when I was in pre school and Toy Story 3 came out when I was a senior in high school. Toy Story was the trilogy of my adolescence.
Same 3 shattered me… I was with my sister and two nephews had to go to the restroom afterwards to try to get my shit together 😂
I haven't seen _Toy Story 3_ yet, but I heard it was derivative of _The Brave Little Toaster,_ which was a masterpiece and emotionally visceral.
Bill has nothing intelligent to say
Bill mahar thinks he’s elite because he doesn’t know about Toy Story. He’s pathetic
I said that toy story shouldn't be continued since the fourth one was announced. I'm happy that other people smarter than me feel the same way
I really wish they had left it with three I was happy with that being the ending of toy story 4 just ruined the ending of the trilogy for me

4 is my favorite. Just the closing scene at dusk at the carnival with fireworks. It's incredible.

I know he doesn’t watch animated movies but I wonder what he might think of SpiderVerse
Does the other guy actually know anything about cinema or what?
Weird I kinda feel like it should of stopped after 2
Interesting take! Why do you think so? I think 3 wrapped up the series perfectly with Andy growing up and the toys having to survive without him.
He's right, Toy Story 4 was when Disney started going Woke , explains a lot why it wasn't that good
You people are so boring.
