Jane H commenting …. It was really cool to see this. I’m born & raised here in New Zealand, to an English mother & a First Generation father, with Scots parents who came to New Zealand in the 1870s. From the age of 17 up until I was 48, I lived mostly out of New Zealand, in England, Middle East, Singapore & West Africa. Having raised our children into adulthood, we returned to live back in NZ in 1998, & it’s a decision I have never regretted. Living back in NZ now, for 26 years, I would never want to leave it. It is a very beautiful country. Cost of living is high, but a stay in hospital is totally free, though we do have to pay to see our GP. Medical tests are free. Seeing a medical consultant is free. Not huge amounts of traffic compared to other countries I have lived in, & no big extremes in weather, though I live in the warmer North Island, so winters are much milder than in the South Island. New Zealanders are basically outdoor people with a great love of sports. And compared to most countries, our crime rates are low. So I consider myself fortunate to be a New Zealander.
No sadly we do have deal with the mass immigration most of the west has to. Sadly our infrastructure has been compromised to a point not only is it almost impossible to buy a house, food and living has become virtually unmanageable. Something tourists become aware of if they spend to long.
As a people we also are high users of our oceans and seas, but we forget we do have a predator, that being the great white shark, we don’t have a lot of shark attacks but we have had a few, particularly for paua (abalone) divers as by law you can only harvest them by free diving
He forgot to mention the top tier quality of our dairy industry. Our lamb is world renowned and milk, beef etc also. Unfortunately, most of the top tier produce gets exported overseas and what's left for us is overpriced. Still any NZ beef, lamb, milk etc is still world class.
I lived in oz and uk in my 20s. I returned to New Zealand and never wanr to leave again it is a haven. I am not rich but it jot about that. We can simplify our lives and bot have to be like the Joneses. I lived in Auckland away from city and aurrounded by trees, beaches and beautiful views. We just have to make it work not think about the money but what does place neans and how you feel. You teach your kids that then they can adjust to where they feel the happiest.

In the event that "everyone would want to go there" they would find that NZ is not an easy country to gain residency in. You must have skills or business acumen that the country identifies as being of value, if not, people who have arrived hoping to stay have been returned to their place of origin.

Enjoyed watching your reaction to our country. South Island Kiwi here living not far from those snowy covered mountains shown in the video. Also close to rivers and lakes and less than an hour to the nearest beach. You don't need to drive far for the scenic views .Hope you get the opportunity to travel here sometime to see for yourselves. It is expensive I guess but have heard from someone returning to Canada that groceries are more expensive there now than in NZ. The public hospital system is free but you still have to pay for visits to your local GP although children under 14 are generally free as long as you are registered with a medical centre. We also have something called ACC which if you have an accident and they accept the claim you will get be covered for some or all of your care and your wages are paid I believe up to 80 percent of your normal pay until you recover.
Wow I'm from new Zealand and live here and I'm just learning that Auckland is the no 1 most liveable places??? Just wondering where that estimate came from cause.... I beg to differ lol. Aucklands great and all but the most liveable place ??? I'd rather be on the country side of our nation lol
Born in N Z (Aotearoa). Lived and worked in OZ, We planned to stay for three years but stayed for 15 years.. My husband and I with four children and my father enjoyed our living, working, education moments. My husband is no longer with us he passed away last year. My father passed away our second year in Oz. An only son returned to Oz and other three children live in Aotearoa. We (my husband and I) have an appropriate saying "Our hearts are back here (in Aotearoa) but our pockets were back in OZ"
Yes no land predators. here's one native spider that will make you ill not lethal and very rare. There is also sharks particularly great whites. However, yet again there's been roughly one serious incident in the last 10 years. NZ is a land of birds and insects. Most other animals like cows and sheep are introduced
I'm 77 and have visited more than 100 countries. New Zealand is the most beautiful place I've been. Think California turned up-side down, but with only 3 million people instead of 30 million. Weirdest thing about the country I found. You can't take a rental car from the North Island to the South Island. You have to leave your car in Wellington, take the passenger ferry across, and pick up a new rental car on the South Island, even if it's the same rental company. Nobody could explain that one to me.
I think they told you that maybe due to you being a tourist,as a local,I have hired a few vehicles and taken them all over the country. Not sure why they would tell you that, seems like a silly reason to do it.
@@Andy_M986 I think you probably nailed it. Me being a non-citizen.

Correct - no predators. Thats true. Unless you count sharks, got some serious jobbies floating about. Best avoided. Also Kea are a menace - harmless BUT will pinch the sandwich right out of your hand then laugh at you while the rest of the Kea gang are trying to destroy your car. I'd like to come back a Kea when I die to be fair. I digress: That one pic that has everything in it - the mountain is an active volcanoe. (Mt Taranaki by the looks of it) One of very few thats on a coastline in the world. It's one of several volcanoes in the North Island including Taupo which is a Super Volcanoe. Mild/temperate is anywhere from -10 to 35 degs celcius. Give or take a degree depending on location. Yep whole country is directly on the ring of fire so that means heaps of quakes. We're used to them. Food = astromincal cost is an exageration. Can be expensive depending on what you want & when you want it. NZ is pretty self sufficient in the food department. Small yes, but put in perspective its the 6th largest Island in the world and is in fact bigger than Great Brittain. Free medical for all NZ and Australian citizens. IE if you fall down, break a leg, need hospital care then thats free. If you go to a GP there is a fee but children are free. Ozzie is the wayward cousin, or that annoying aunt rather than the big brother. But we tolerate them. Yes im a Kiwi. Might have blown my cover with that last comment. :) Here to help.
Could you please react to Stan Walkers song video clip “I AM” American Ava Devauney movie “Origin” you have reacted to him before You will not be disappointed he is New Zealand indigenous Maori much Aroha
Dear Tourists/Prospective Immigrants New Zealand is not there. It doesn’t exist. It was dreamed up by Australian politicians as a ‘country’ to blame when they screwed things up and there were too many marginal votes involved to blame Tasmania. CGI and clever marketing did the rest. People who think they have been to New Zealand have actually been circling the Warner’s backlot on the Gold Coast. Those world maps you see on serious people’s office walls are accurate. NZ is left off for a reason. It’s just not there. It’s also why, when a ‘Kiwi’ excels at something, like the arts, cooking, sport or science, they and their IP are suddenly billed as Aussie. There are many examples. So, take a trip to Aus, by all means. It’s a great place and they’re a great people, but do it with open eyes. You’ll be in Aus. Thank you for your tourism/ immigration interest in New Zealand. Go away. PS: My associates in ‘Spain’ have asked me to remind tourists and gammons from the UK in particular that Spain does not exist either.
หลายเดือนก่อน
Ha ha ha ha ha! Also isnt there so cant protect anyone in a global catastrophe .. total misinformation, dont believe it. So yeah, what he said; go away! Spain eh?
A lot of very rich people do have a resident here because of the collapse thing not sure if the world goes to hell in a basket we would want all these people here. Thing is I am sure they would bring attitudes we don’t want here.
I was in Queenstown skiing in September and met many happy tourists. When asked where I lived they mostly said lucky barstard! I said no your thinking about my dad, he had me.
There's a few things that might have a go at you, but nothing that'll kill you. Except maybe a shark, but that's so rare I don't know why I mentioned it. Getting seagulls pissed can be a dangerous sport, but not lethal. Dip bread in beer and feed the same few (you can tell them apart by the dots on their tail feathers). Offer them more and they're likely to accidentally peck your hand, and stay clear when one picks a drunken fight with another. Don't worry - they can still fly when they're pissed, but their landings are hilarious.
When they showed the aerial shot of Auckland it was actually Melbourne in Australia. As soon as I see that the people who made the video lose all credibility.
@@Andy_M986 You are really clutching at straws and it’s quite strange that you made that comment. When the narrator talks of population density and how some people may prefer more hustle and bustle he doesn’t refer to Melbourne at all, or for that matter Australia either and also doesn’t show a scene from Melbourne. The footage I was referring to appears later in the video when they are showing specifically, views of Auckland. There are some strange people in the world and the fact that you attempted to undermine my comment, which was completely accurate, in such an inaccurate, pathetic fashion, puts you right up there I would think.
Wow that grocery list is a joke for us cos most of it is made in NZ and sent and sold overseas but more expensive for the local in NZ. Why? cos we cannot buy direct as everything produced in NZ has already been earmarked to be sold international which for us is shameful. NZers pay more for groceries than you can buy in your own country. Everything we produce either comes from a cow, goat, sheep, the sea or forest and is being raped daily. We may have a beautiful country but we pay thru our nose to keep it this way. Woman are still being paid lower than the men and racism is still alive here as well as gangs. The biggest gang is the government that every member keeps getting paid well after they have been removed thru voting. Most of the members are not voted for but get in thru their party. They are also entitled to all discounts for travel for the remaining of their life and most including the councilors, are also exempt from paying rates. When you stuff up at work, you get sacked. Well ours like yours, do not have to face up to any mistakes they make and get away with a full pension. I love my country but lately, watching our people struggle just to live in their own homes and more people cannot put food on the table or afford power, is becoming real in NZ. If our people are bitter when y'all visit, at least you'll know why.
I just spent over two weeks in hospital with a life threatening lung lung infection. Cost me ZERO, the staff were amazing, even the food was pretty good.
Most liveable city is one with a good climate, low pollution, great restaurants and activities, diverse population and plenty of great people to invite to a barbie.

Dear Tourists/Prospective Immigrants
New Zealand is not there.
Ha ha ha ha ha! Also isnt there so cant protect anyone in a global catastrophe .. total misinformation, dont believe it.
So yeah, what he said; go away!
Spain eh?
#16 paying teachers $10k to move there 😏
Ni99a I'm living in NZ, And it's pretty hell no,
A lot of very rich people do have a resident here because of the collapse thing not sure if the world goes to hell in a basket we would want all these people here. Thing is I am sure they would bring attitudes we don’t want here.
I was in Queenstown skiing in September and met many happy tourists. When asked where I lived they mostly said lucky barstard! I said no your thinking about my dad, he had me.
Yup there is no dangerous animals in New Zealand at all, they are very lucky 😂

I heard the narrator say something about "If you like bustling cities, then maybe Melbourne or an Australian city would suit you.".
@@Andy_M986
You are really clutching at straws and it’s quite strange that you made that comment.

Snake free, that includes Trump! Not perfect but where is? As an elder Kiwi I live seeing our population diversify and the growing embrace of Maori heritage. Cheers to my Korean dairy owner and my Pakistani petrol station manager.
