- In this Problem an effort has been made to generate G & M Codes for a typical stepped shaft problem using EdgeCAM given a profile dimensions.
By going through my video tutorial, students will know how to operate in design and manufacturing phase.
In design phase they draw the profile in the ZX environment using polyline command and also fix the start ,end and radius offsets.
Now the user will shift to manufacturing environment select the machine tool.
The users will clearly understand as how to manage rough turning and finish turning giving clearly the allowances on X and Z.
Now they will understand as how to select the tool for rough facing and also understand how to generate tool path .
Now they will understand as how to select the tool for rough turning and also understand how to generate tool path.
Now they will understand as how to select the tool for finishing operation and the corresponding tool path removing only allowances during finish turning.
They will clearly know how to do the 3D simulation and importantly 2D simulation where they clearly observe the allowances left during rough turning phase and allowances are removed during finish turning phase.
They will also know how to generate G and M codes for the profile and will also know how to interpret the codes generated.
